Game notes: The Swans are the form team of the competition after winning four straight, and seven of their past eight games, but they must maintain their run after a 0-6 start to the year. Jarrad McVeigh’s return in last week’s win over Melbourne was important for Sydney, and along with Isaac Heeney, Dane Rampe, Tom Papley and Gary Rohan, who were also missing with injury early in the season, he’ll look to ramp up his influence over the next month. Big forward Tom Lynch looms as a danger for the home side, especially with superstar midfielder Gary Ablett and Jarryd Lyons winning plenty of centre clearances and pumping the ball inside 50. If the Suns are to come to Sydney and beat the Swans for the first time, they’ll need another monster game from Ablett, and a bag of goals from Lynch.

Thommo’s Tip: Sydney by 40 points.

While we do our best to update posts with end of quarter scores, we aren’t always online so if you have access to the scores and see they haven’t gone into the Comments section of this post, the Community would love it if you could help us out.

    1. That is 5 of my starting 22 out this week, although Marchbank was going anyway.

  1. Should i trade gaz this week, it shouldn’t cost me a trade later in the year as i am making money, and cause i have a 0 on field. Although i should win my league match with all my opponents outs. Will he be back next week?

    1. If you have a reasonable number of trades left, then probably. He’ll score well when he plays, but will that make up for his absences?

  2. i forgot to take emergency of greenwood and didnt see jpk was out till game started. If I put E on witherden will I get his score or will it be Greenwood’s zero as he has the lower score of the two?

      1. oh sweet. Just hope selwood isnt a late out too as Ive got cousins and Greenwood as my two mid reserves. Ive already had JPK and HOwe as late outs so I should probably expect Selwood out too.

  4. You watch games like this and wonder how the hell Lynch has had three games under 40 points this year. Terrific player, works his butt off, and if he was playing in a better team he’d win the Coleman every year.

    1. Lynch’s 3 games below 40 all coincided with him being held goalless and his lowest score with a goal is 87.

      1. Me on the turps meant I forgot to bring in Witherden and almost missed the Captain loophole but get out on pure dumb luck (Howe being late out earlier one) and get to use two bench covers. It aint the solution…
