Game Chat – Tigers v Dogs

Written by MJ on April 11 2015

Richmond boasts a healthy recent history against the Dogs, winning all three games in 2012 and 2013 by an average margin of 66 points. They got their revenge last year however, with a nail-biting two-point victory that had everyone on the edge of their Etihad Stadium seats. This time they’re at the ‘G, with bounce down at 1.45pm.

Brett Deledio misses this one through suspension, and if you’re like me and have both Lids and Bartel in your forward line, you’re feeling a little hard done by after just one week. Bontempelli starred last round with 126 points, living up to his pre-season hype, while Dustin Martin disappointed the masses with just 51. I’ll back Dusty to notch a ton this week.

MJ’s Tip – Richmond by 24. See you at the game!

  1. I thought I was wrong when I didn’t select Goodes, spoke to a lot of Doggies fans & most didn’t rate him as an AFL player. So always thought he was risk as a sub for games.

  2. Kinda wishing a backed my gut and didnt pick goodes in the first place reagardless of everyone considering him a lock. Hes 31 years old after all and played was delisted last year. Its no suprise that hes sub. Hes out for me right now! Gonna jump up to geary who i really rate. Not waiting till next week because ill need other rookie corrective trades before price changes (Possibly Cripps, Miller, Lamb)

  3. Also, another question:

To go Lambert or Hogan as my last FWD spot on the field? Feel like Hogan is a better chance to go alright at this stage.

  4. Gotta hand it to me old mate Joey! When all and sundry were getting on the elevation bandwagon, he calmly warned me off. Can’t wait for a fit Biggs to take his spot.

  8. Make no mistake about it……these Bulldogs are an impressive (exciting!) football team. BIG surprise packet this season. They’ve got the Tigers well and truly covered……..scores 44-73.
Well done to anyone who jumped off Dusty during the week 😉

  9. Will minson giving Maric a bath. Shows how much hit outs are really worth in the new scoring.

    Anyone considering Blicavs now?

  11. Again, very impressive team, the Bulldogs. This is as cheap as Bonts will ever be this year. Jump on before the price rise. Not gonna say they’ll make the finals or anything, but they’ll surprise alot of ‘better’ teams during the year.
