The Dogs will look to add some bite to their 2015 season by defeating the Eagles at Etihad Stadium tonight. The Dogs will be keen to build on an impressive preseason, which was capped off with a huge victory over Collingwood (115-54). Marcus Bontempelli was the star of that clash, racking up 29 touches and three big goals. Matthew Boyd enjoys facing up against the Eagles; he is averaging 32 disposals and seven clearances in his last six contests against West Coast.
However, it’s not going to be easy for the Dogs. Josh Kennedy is always a threat near the goals, highlighted by the fact that he is averaging five majors over his last five matches against the Bulldogs. Reigning Brownlow Medallist Matthew Priddis has also run rampant in recent times against the men from Whitten Oval. He’s collecting 16 contested possessions a game to go along with nine clearances in his past six encounters against the Dogs. Kick off is 7.20pm (AEST).
Justin’s tip: Bontempelli will lead the Dogs to an 11 point victory.
