Game Chat – West Coast v Carlton

Written by Motts on April 10 2015

Carlton travel to Perth tonight in what should be a cakewalk for the well-drilled Blues who boast depth at every position on the ground.

That’s how I’d love to be starting this post but we all know I’d be completely kidding myself.

Carlton is already having their already shallow depth tested with Daisy and Cracker(Jaksch) being replaced by LEVI! (who hopefully has learned his lesson after last week) and Jason Tutt (playing his first game in Navy Blue).

The Weags return to the wide expanses of Subiaco stung by a loss to The Dogs last week. They too faced selection challenges this week with Mitch Brown, Scott Selwood, Sam Butler and Tom Lamb all out for one reason or another with the incoming players being Schofield, Bennell, Turnbridge and Duggan.

A lot of so-called experts have tipped Carlton to win his match. I’m not so sure.

  2. In the preseason my defence was looking the most suspect but I have to say its probably my safest line this week! Worried about some midfield rookies being vest candidates (miller, Anderson, heeney, vdb) and covering injuries of Bartel and cripps

  3. Considering trading Cripps out for roger lambert or a non playing player for the emg loophole could go with Payne from saints who have lots of late games or go with lambert who is obviously playing this week but will most likely be out next week but Richmond have a lot of early Saturday games.
Or should I trade him for a rookie who will make some cash anyway and forget about the loophole? Have only 2 rookies spots on field for rookies, what’s the community’s thoughts?

  6. West coast look terrible, no structure or skill, no defensive pressure through the midfield. Hopefully just a slow start…

  8. It is a pleasure watching Judd play another season looking fully fit.
Also watching Kennedy dominate who west coast gained in that trade

  12. Let’s look at the bright side, Carlton can feel buoyed by at least registering a narrow one point victory over Josh Kennedy tonight!
