Game Chat – West Coast v Sydney

Written by Motts on July 4 2020

Where and when: Saturday 1:45pm at the home of footy in the Northern hub: Metricon Stadium.

Last time they met:

Sunday June 9, 2019

Sydney 18.8 (116) def West Coast 10.11 (71) at the SCG.

What it means for Sydney: The Swans would be still be struggling to walk after the reaming they took from the Doggies last Thursday. A dispirited Eagles outfit appears to be an easy kill to get them back on the right side of the ledger and threatening once again for the Top 8.

What it means for West Coast: Something to hang their hat on to say that the 4 weeks on the Gold Coast weren’t a complete write-off. God they’ve been awful up there.

Mottsy Watch: I just want to see signs of life from The Eagles.

Mottsy’s Tip: Sydney by 20.

      1. Afternoon, CT.

A rollercoaster of emotions for me this game lol. Rage and fury in the first, hope in the second and pride in the third. Hopefully we can keep the pressure on and bring it home.

  4. Putting out the welcome mat for recruit Yeo this week ahead. Going to drop $30k to his lowest point, and then about 6-7 games in a row at home.

  5. Gunboat, Eagles have two injured players now and one on report.

If Brander is fit you think he should push back into the side?

    1. For sure, Grant.

No clarity on his injury rn though. As soon as he’s fit, he’ll be straight back in. We like big bodied players. Gaff moves inside with Shuey and Redden out, Brander will add some depth on the wing if available.

I held him instead of Noble. Will work his way back in.

      1. Brander has had a similar hip pointer injury before I think, no big deal. He should be back very soon*

    1. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but Lloyd 123 is absurd. Have to find the cash for him somehow
