Gray Area

Written by MJ on July 3 2015

It’s a simple question that bobs up time and time again. The VC loophole can be a dilemma when one scores so closely to the “do you” or “don’t you” threshold.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

I know some who say 120, whereas others will only keep 130+.

  1. Fyfe might get a little more. If he goes 140, nice, an extra 17 points. Or, he could get hurt two minutes into the game (I own him, knock on wood, I hope not!) and score -3 points, doubled to -6. He could be rested if the Dockers are winning by a lot. Or even have an off game.

Is the extra few points worth the risk? I suppose it depends some on your situation, but I would think hard.

  2. My general rule of thumb is whether the VC score is above / below the average of the player who I would make captain. In this case, Fyfe is averaging 134, so based on averages he would score more than Gray’s 123.

  3. Ordinarily I would prob take 123 but the fact freos form is off a touch and they are playing Brisbane, I think they will want to put in a strong performance = fyfe 150+
Not to mention i need the extra points to cover having to play a rookie on field for selwood

  4. What is happening with points for the cancelled Game?
Can I put Captain on Dangerfield to lock in the score of my VC (Goldstein)? Even though Dangerfield is in my starting line-up.

  5. Speaking of Gray, can someone please tell me Robbie Gray’s BE for this round and projected BE for next round? Appears to be a typo on the stats page.
