what’s the story on Nathan Vardy for the cats, anyone? And Cameron Richardson- MIA?
I have already made my two trades for the week, have now got Zac Smith in my ruck (albeit on the bench, this week! feels good to actually have a player up my sleeve there who WILL get a game when WC/Freo have a bye) and got rid of Prestia for Mzungu, yes I know he is still injured but I didn’t want to miss him while he is still cheap. This kept my mix of GC players the same too. Bit worried I have too many Freo players at this stage (I’m pencilling them in to be GF’ists 2012 for what it’s worth). They have too many injuries to win it this year I think. And yes I know I should have waited to do my trades but I have been too distracted from my SC team lately 🙂
After a 2074 and dropping back to p3092 overall I’m commited to a league strategy. Happy that I didn’t pick Grimes and Higgins from the beginning due to their past injury history however the alternates of Hurn and McGlynn have been pitiful at best.
Am looking at getting in players with the multi-bye to strengthen the league tactics from here on in.
Okay seeing as Grimes is apparently out for the the season? (any further info on that would be great?) I was thinking of burning a trade because no use having him on the bench for a couple of weeks.
I’m about $300 away from getting Shaw so I had to look somewhere else.
I found a couple of guys who took my fancy but I can’t choose between
I’m mulling the same decisions as many. I have Grimey and Curnow
I have quite a bit of cash and i’m thinking double upgrade along these lines:
Grimey -> HShaw
Curnow -> Mundy
I want to get Swan in at some stage, but I already have Pendles and I think Swan has a bit of value still to shed. So with the shaw trade, swan will have to wait till after round 13.
Mundy is killing it and has no head to head byes so it seems like a good trade.
I’d appreciate any feedback or discussion SCT coaches might like to engage in.
i like the new set-out!
HGL is loving the new format for the injury lists!!! 😀
I think I will leave Curnow on the bench for now being a Carlton player I will cut him some slack
Mottsy looking good mate! love the new layout.
trade curnow for jobe watson????
Tendai Mzungu is 2 weeks away – I bet that made a few people foam at the mouth!
Wonder if McKeever has to go under the knife?

I read somewhere after this weekend that the Dogs are looking at aplayer named Schofield – do you know anything about him?

Any thoughts on A Johnson from Syd? Looks nice and cheap, but I prefer to see a game after an injury
Jamar out for a month..PCL….damn….I went for the Z Smith/Petrie/Tippett R3/R4 and Jamar /Sandi R1/R2 combo pre season so will be ok
AFL’s “In the mix” weekly spread says higgins is good to go…rocket said yesterday he wouldnt….there are some terrible journo’s out there.

Newman= Thumbs up
Pratt= Thumbs down
Thinking this week
Grimes, Yarran ———–> Gilbert, Didak
To give me a team of
B- Gibbs(*), Deledio, H.Shaw, Adcock, Duffield, Gilbert, Heppell
(Stanley, Lower, Otten)
C- Swan, Goddard, Selwood, Cotchin, Pittard, D.Swallow
(Harris, Iles, Bewick)
R- Sandilands, Cox,
(Smith, Moran)
F- Franklin, Goodes, N.Riewoldt, J.Riewoldt, Didak, Petrie, Krakouer
(Darling, Matera, Richardson)
Thoughts?
okay, I know that everyone has been saying upgrade mids over backs, but in my situation, I think j might be different.
Back – Gibbs, Goddard, Grimes (!!!), Hurley, Heppell, Toy, Pederson, Otten, A.Johnson
Midfield – Swan, Pendlebury, Boyd, Selwood, Harris, Liberatore, Curnow (!!!), D.Swallow, Pittard
My options are
Grimes —> Shaw
leaves me with about $72,200
or
Grimes —> Puopolo
Curnow —> Mundy/Priddis
leaves me with about $205,000
If I do the second one, the week after I can trade a defender cash cow out and use extra money to buy shaw after he has gone down in price a bit.
