  1. Crazy week! Managed to avoid the bulk of mayhem finishing with 2269, Pendles leading the team to victory!

Saunders, Terlich and Hartlett the only meagre performances. Tough week, but I’ll happily take that.

  2. 1970 with 2 donuts so happy with that as my murphy and scotland trades got me my first win in my money league. All my premium mids scored over a hundred 161, 131, 131, 118, 106 and 102 so can’t complain really.

  3. An unadjusted 1939. Hidiously bad score. And that’s WITH two defensive trades to avoid doughnuts!!

I’d name names of the players who let me down but it’s probably alot quicker to list the guys who delivered amidst the carnage of Rnd 6.

    Thank you to:
GAJ, Walker, Dusty, Swan, Cox, O’meara and that’s it!!! Who’d have thought Dusty would be someone to stand up when the chips are down.

I’ve already told the boys to bring their mouthguards to training tomorrow night. Going to absolutely flog them on the training track.

  4. 2148. Been a tough week, not sure what to make of my score. Underperformers, and having Gibbs, Heppell, Goodes and Fyfe on the bench hurt. Gaz will be traded in this week, while Buddy, Jobe, Nic Nat and Priddis look like good trade targets over the next few weeks.

Got away with murder this week, i originally traded Dangerfield to Cotchin, but with all the defensive outs, i reversed it, luck was on my side there.

  6. Looking through my back line I thought it was Gilmore’s scorecard for the front 9 at the Waterbury Open! So many 30’s and 40’s. Yuck!

2116/Ablett – Wondering whether or not this will hurt my 291 ranking. More than likely.

  7. 2146/Pendles

Happy with that considering Watson/ Birchall’s scores, also having a donut in the backline like most of us

5/5 wins in SC, including a 10 point thriller v Don Cottagers in LoEC 1
    5/5 wins in DT
    9/9 tips
    Hawks won…….albeit only just!

My son’s U9 footy team kicked 15.9.98 to no score today with my boy kicking 3 majors off the wing & getting BOG.

Last of all, awesome job by DAZZ on SCT keeping us all informed with 1/4 by 1/4 SC scores all week-end…….well done Dazz!

  8. 2216, no doughnuts for me!

Got rid of Gibbs and went to Heath Shaw. Kept Heppell and Goodes.

Jacobs and few of the rookie forwards are killing me!

So the question becomes, do I keep Jacobs or not??

  9. 1950/GAJ no trades, 2 donuts…..

Ill take the above especially as I won 4 out of my 5 leagues this week..Only loss in LoEC 3 ….Happy with Danger….he owed a few of us that stuck with him ….Also happy with Goldy , Dusty, GAJ and Pendles….

Unhappy with a few including my cash cows that aren’t fattening up anytime soon…Lucky the premiums are coming down to bridge the gap for upcoming trades……
Happy with my score overall with would be a par 2000 week I’d say…. without having traded…..

  10. 2219/Pendles..Hopefully get Heppell back, will look at a few different options, McGrath was a fail. Won all five leagues. Not a bad score considering I had a donut for the first time in about 12 months.

  12. No need to trade in Vlastuin, I said.
No need to burn a trade to cover that donut. I’m projected to win all leagues by over 250 points, I said.

I lose two of the matches by less than Vlastuin’s score.

Cotchin, Birchall, Hanley and both Kennedys owe me some answers as well.

  13. GOOD DECISION,BAD DECISION. I think the good was bringing in ellis to save another 0, the bad was trading out t. walker for carrazzo on Friday night. That’s why it’s such a great game trying to get it right. managed 2043.

  14. Just 1988 but two 0’s and managed to win 2 of 3 cash league matches luckily.

27 trades left so time to get trading I think!!!

  15. 1844.
    worst score i’ve ever gotten
    howlett 57
    westhoff 48
    deledio 46
    dixon 52

rookies all got 30-60 with the exception of omeara(90) and neade (64)
the only good scores were bartel (131),cox(126),hibberd (124) and kinda swan (118)

  16. 2111. Not bad under the circumstances. That’s 5 of 6 weeks between 2100 and 2150.

Still can’t win a game in the stt cash league. Enjoy my $50 guys.

  17. 2154 – not bad given had Sinclair, Dixon & Daw subbed off plus 53 & 59 from Hartlett & Birchall!

Anyone trading out Birchall this week? He seems to have lost his mojo.

  18. 2091/Pendles 5/5 league wins with a close one in LOEC 2
    Birchall on debut not impressed
A few big decisions coming up for my team.
Had a tight loss in SCTTL1 Captain choice cost me i had Jobe opponent had Pendles.
I also had a loss in my Draft league

  19. 2057/Murphy

    I survived the round.
I did not succumb to tears.

The trades to Vlastuin and Shaw were life savers. A lot of disappointments but a few stand out performances kept me in it.

Won 3/4 leagues, with the other result being a bloody draw!

  22. Any know how to spell that noise you make when people can’t figure out if you’re laughing or crying?

    1820/Jab – 5 from 5 (losses of course)

The upside of a ridiculous week is that I took a punt and instead of bringing in Vlastuin and Hibberd (leaving me with less than $10k) I went Vlastuin and Gawn in for Rowe. Hibberd would have won my two of the five games but they were in the two leagues I don’t care so much about and now still have $340k for a big midfield boost this week.

  23. I had my worst week (except the bye rounds) in 3 years of SuperCoach!!
Managed a disgraceful 1890, losing 2/5 match ups by 4 and 13 points!
    ouch.

Both Kennedy’s, cotchin, Franklin (not even gonna call him “Buddy”) and the bulk of my team basically, owe me answers.
Ill remember Rd 6 2013 for the rest of my life, and its not in my good books either.

  24. 2362/Pendles

The carnage that was R6 turned out to be my biggest score of 2013 to date!

Pendles (161), Shaw (125), Swan (118), Goldstein (132), Dangerfield (173), Bartel (131), Martin (125), GAJ (137), Shuey (139), Cox (126) all lifted in the round of chaos.

Hartlett (53) & Franklin (45) are the only ones who will have to take a good look at themselves this week.

I’ll forgive the rookies for some sub-par performances. There will be quite a few facing the chopping block soon though. Terlich, Heath, Dwyer in particular.

Very special mention to the two boys I gave debuts to this week:
Heath Shaw (125): You stood up in Gibbs’ absence and proved a worthy replacement.
Brandon Ellis (82): A very impressive first QTR set up a more than adequate score. Avoid the vest again next week and you’ll have certainly proved your worth in making some quick cashola whilst at the same time filling in for the suspended Brett Goodes, who will remain on the sidelines for another week.

Huge wins in all my leagues should prove a nice percentage boost whilst I await in anticipation what that weekly ranking will be like.

Had a nice win in my draft league as well, even with Allen Christensen’s 177 on the pine.

    Bring on next week!

  25. 2077 / Pendles (thanks to wonderful VC loophole)
2 trades to avoid O’s + upgrade will be good long term but Charlie Dixon let me down this week. Robbie Gray at 300K & DPP will hopefully be a good un. Gibbs, Goodes, Heppell & Pittard need to repay me in spades when they come back.

Buddy’s 45 & Luke Brown’s 36 went a long way towards 18 point loss in the SCT / AB’s cash league. Now 0 from 4 in that league after getting done by 6 points last week!

St-Kilda beach for 4am recovery then full day work out for the team tomorrow! Buddy is going to get flogged on the track this week – you let me down big time boyo!

  26. 2052/ pendles. 1 donut

    Grades:
A – pendles, gaz, goldy, murphy , cox
    B – rocky, goddard, kennedyx2
    Rookies all scored their 60-70s
Poor by birchall, hartlett and most if backline

So many premiums failed this week! Going to be cheap next week!

i thought i might actually go up a couple pozzies in rank but after seeing a some of the high scores you other guys got im left wondering :/
5/5 wins finally got up in the SCT3 league. its such an evenly spread league. hopefully things arent as hectic in the approach to round 7 🙂

  28. LOL… The title of this thread makes me think it’s a negative along the lines of “bring out ya dead!”

Woeful round. 1847, carrying one donut.
Lost 4/5, got absolutely SPANKED by Allie in SCT girls 1 by a resounding 396 points.
Swan, Pendles, Ablett, Bartel, Cox, O’Meara, Vlastuin & Stevens the shining lights..
    Everyone else is on notice.

Ok Catattack team. I’m not going to say a word today. Bring your running shoes to training. It’s going to be a long day.

Whoever voted to keep Hawkins and not buy Stevie J is doing an extra two laps. I’m tipping it was Hamish, Hamish M or Scottie. If so, well done.

  30. Not sure whether i should laugh or cry at my pathetic score!
    1920/Pendles

  31. Seeing other sides low scores makes me feel a bit better about mine and for the 2nd week in a row my SCTTL side outscores my main team *double sighs*…

  33. Absolutely shocking score of 1863. Sure to be out of the top 1000 now and be some distance.
Must have every player that performed poorly this round: Birchall, Hartlett, Dixon, Watson, Buddy, Zorko, Hawkins. Plus others that gave me very little.
My only consolation is that things must et better next week. Heppell back will give me a full back line and I can concentrate on completing the mids and free up some cash for Nic Nat in a few weeks.

  34. so i got 1948. no zeros, had pendlebury as captain and dangerfield, cox and lecras who all had really good weeks… thats how bad my week was.

    my team:
DEF: hartlett, goddard, heath, stevenson, terlich, saunders (heppell, pittard)
MID: pendlebury, swan, watson, kennedy, wines, dangerfield, o’meara, viney (fyfe, crouch)
    RUC: Jacobs, Leuenberger (rowe, currie)
FWD: Cox, kennedy, rockliff, lecras, franklin, mayes (neade, dwyer)

saunders, stevenson, heath, hartlett, jacobs, franklin, mayes, jp kennedy, viney, watson, terlich, jj kennedy all shat a brick this week on field, plus i only had 2 guys scoring on the bench. really frustrating right when i think i really like the way my team is starting to come together.

  35. 2107/ Pendles

  36. 2172, A solid score and got me across the line in all 3 of my leagues.
Managed to push back into the top 1000 claiming 900th.
Happy with Swallow, Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Martin and bartel but I’m getting slighty concerned about the form of Jacobs and Duffield and may be looking to move them on this round with the spare cash in the bank.

  37. supercoach is now open.
it looks like the best way to play the next 2 weeks or so is to just accumulate a hell of a lot of cash, when you get a chance, if you have supercoach gold, search by highest breakevens. there are some very popular or attractive players(depending on if you do or dont already own them) who have breakevens up over 150..
natainui, franklin, birchall, deledio, priddis, joelwood, watson, hanley, maric just to name a few

  38. Is it just me or is it a little light this week on downgrades? Looking to move on dwyer but besides tom lee and docherty, there doesnt seem much. Not liking either of their job security. Is a sideways from dwyer to gray seem an option?

  40. Really enjoy this site I think the brains behind it do an outstanding job. I have a quick question I’ve gone from 8020 to 3884 and my score this week was only 2155. I’m roughly 800 points behind the overall leader give or take a few and getting happyish with my side. Am I still in the hunt for overall or is 800ish too much to make up? Cheers lads keep up the great work.

  41. What is going on?? I have had a disaster with my SC Draft & emergencies …

In one team I expected Dempsey’s score of 112 to cover Heppell but instead i got M.Wright as emergency – HE IS NOT EVEN A DEFENDER!!

In my second team, again I got M.Wright’s score of 20 instead of Daisy’s 150. If that was not bad enough Waters got a 0 for a late withdrawal and Newman’s 72 (my emergency) was not even recognised!!

Needless to say I narrowly lost both games.

    Questions:
    – Does it simply grab the lowest emergency score regardless of position?
    – Can you only have one emergency score?

    Any ideas?

  42. 2136 – thought it was a horror score but turns out my ranking went up 3000-ish to 3351. Already brought in Johnson, S and Thomas, D for the next round and my team looks happier because of it.

Also, looking to find somebody who has had a worse run of close losses in the one league. In my top ranked league (currently ranked 6th overall) I am 0-4 with losses of: 6, 13, 1, 32. Four losses from four games and my percentage is 99.41!

Would be nice to get a win in LoEC1 as well. 5th on overall points and with the loss to Catta, I’m 0-4 there as well

Lost to Cattattck in LOEC 2 and rightly so.

Where do I start BUDDY BUDDY BUDDY
Beau I do not want to play WATERS only decent trade I made Heath Shaw.

My comment of running down the streets of Bangkok naked if buddy drops to 450,000 K is looking more likely as the weeks go on.

  44. Turns out I finished the round at 1004th overall, up from 9700 odd. Only 44 coaches between me and the 1k weekly prize too. Just shows how 1 round can change your season and is a lesson for all coaches to never give up.

  45. Looking at good downgrade option in def & forwards. Anyone know how Brett Staker is travelling? Good games in the 2nds? Likely for a start this round or next? Port defenders to him could go well. Any other good d/f Dpp also on the horizon?

  46. 2120/Pendles

Looks like a decent score this round. Ranked 1679 from 3000. Dixon had a poor debut, but it was better than the alternative donut. FUGM could have told us Dixon was still carrying an ankle. 😡

The backline was in all sorts this week. The rookies crumbled under pressure with 3 sub 50 scores. I reckon Stevenson might become Vlastuin, and add another $120k odd to the kitty for the juicy fallen premiums coming up in a couple of weeks!

Jobe was unbecoming of a brownlow medallist. Expect a big game from him against the Cats. 4/4 league wins. 8/9 tipping.

  49. Lucky to have avoided most of the BS that blighted many, 2314 sees me up to 4th overall 🙂

  52. There seems to be a real shortage of good downgrade options that would enable us to raise some cash. I would like to cash in on Dwyer and possibly Heath. By next week Wines and probably Stevenson will be fully fattened up too. Just struggling to see who’s worth buying.

  53. 1950 GAJ. 2 donuts in the backline.
traded Hutchins for Harry Taylor who high scored in defence just in front of Goddard.
Very happy with Danger who top scored. Happy with Pendles, Ablett, Mundy and Cox. Thought JPK could have scored a few more.
Rookies are doing nicely, some will be getting closer to trade out time.

Had 2 from 4 league wins.
SCTTL4 1976 win. 1 donut. outscored my main team.
