Higgins v Harvey

Written by Motts on June 2 2010

Both Forward/Midfielder DPP’s, both worth close to $420k, both averaging 87 ppg, both struggling. Right now, which one would you go with?

Who should we start on-field in the FWD line? (three choices)

      1. o’keefe and goodes might be another interesting one, as goodes may be a good sideways trade if rok doesn’t pick up his game very quickly.

  1. harvey is more capable of producing a huge score, but he’s also a lot older.

higgins *was* the ultimate in reliability, scoring around 100 each week. sadly that’s dropped off (as has harvey though….)

    1. Harvey is also more capable of producing a low score (4 times this year under 55) and the “huge score” this season has only happened once. I reckon Higgins will benefit from the spray he got from Rocket last week and he’ll soon be back to his best.

  2. Is anyone considering trading harvey out? I’ve got 250k in the bank however 7 trades left.. might go for montagna?

  3. If i had neither i wouldn’t consider trading in either into my side. If i were going for a good overall possie i’d steer clear of both. If i was wanting to solely win my leagues i’d consider keeping them and wearing some poor scores in the hope they come right by season’s end.

I do have Harvey and am weighing up booting vs persevering.

  4. I’m trading Higgins for Didak this week, Harvey is too inconsistent, Higgins too injured, but he used to be a gun.

  5. using some spare cash to upgrade higgins to pavlich. i think higgins was out with a groin last week and then has a shocker on return. OP?????
