How Did You Go?

Written by MJ on June 28 2015

That’s it! The byes have come and gone for another year. You can all give yourselves a pat on the back. I’m sure the tale of the tape will be vastly different among the community, so let’s hear it: how have you survived R13, and the three weeks of byes? No doubt there’s been plenty of heartaches and headaches!

    OK week
    went from 4900th to 3807th
    shit scores from oxley (51), hodge (57), edwards (9), d martin (62), titchell (49)
most other players were mediocre, apart from newnes (133)
it will be nice to put all the premos onto the field this week
    started the byes ranked 9419th

  2. Isn’t it the best feeling in the world when you trade a player in and they get injured in Thier first game…3 times. It’s what SC dreams are made off…

1803 – Enough for a solid victory over Motts in LoEC3

  3. 1681/18/Fyfe/1387 from 1432. Surprised that I moved up the ranks. I’m guessing that score was around par.
    5/10 league wins.
Top 5 on field: Fyfe, Newnes, Kennedy, Docherty, Pendlebury.
Bottom 5 on field: Lambert, Mitchell, Martin, Yolmen-Ellis, Smith. Nearly got a clean sweep of all 3 of this weeks trade ins for that category with Sloane as well.

Considering I dropped 8000 spots during last years bye rounds, I’m very happy to have jumped 1300 spots this time round. The bye strategy definitely paid off. And if Newnes and B.Smith can be considered “top” picks then I’ve got a “full” side moving forward. Have given myself every chance to reach top 1000, fingers crossed.
Huge effort by Nickoless and sodes……sitting 3rd and 11th respectively. Huge effort guys!!! Go for gold!!! 😉

I was absolutely belted in LoeC 2 by Matteo; I was expecting a loss but this shellacking was something else. Aside from Sloane’s injury, I don’t really mind the future outlook of my team; it just seems that absolutely everything went wrong this week.

I had 13 scores under 80. 7 of those from what I would consider premiums (Sloane, Smith, Birchall, Hodge, Martin, Edwards, Mitchell)

By far my worst week of the byes, after deciding not to trade at all, with not enough cash cows at maturity and only 10 trades left. Well out of contention for overall now, it’s more a matter of conservation in the trade department to do well in SC Finals and take out the cash league, in which Andy B is currently dominating. Might also have to turn the attention to the SC Cup as well.

Bring on Round 14. Sloane to be shown the door.

Jumped up 1000 spots to be 1093 overall! My aim all year has been to finish as high as possible. But with buddy and Sloane I now have some decisions to make. Go for gold and traded em or ride it out. Hmmm it’s gonna be a long week.

  9. 1632/Fyfe/19/10108 – moved backwards 75 places.

Dropped off Alex Pearce’s 34 but still had a bunch of players not wishing to join the leadership group, namely Houli, Smith, Dusty, Titch and unfortunately again, Sloane ranger.

Not much in the way of hero worship apart from Fyfe, Danger and JPK (who I loopholed with Boston because he had been going badly), and a little pat on the back for McKernan on debut. Will keep him now as R3/F7 backup.

Managed to sneak top score in Tech 3 again with 7 x midfield tons, to stay in the 4. Doing better here with 5 on the trot.

Moved up 200ish spots to 279. Well done to nick, sodes, and Andy for continuing to hold up the SCT flag! Keep up the good work guys!

Going ok but traded Sloane in this week and will need to work out what to do now as will so many others. Progressing positively each week 10 trades though after burning 3 this week.

  13. 1750/Fyfe/2835

Regained another 1000 spots overall. Hodge and Lambert on debut were disappointing. Goddard did ok. I now have the common headache of Sloane and Buddy. I didn’t see the Franklin incident, but it doesn’t sound good! So much for holding trades this week.

Stuffed up my trade and burned the wrong player.
    Lots of players getting vests.
    Sloane out injured.
Possible Buddy and TMitch selection issues.

But I’m happy cause I’m no longer bottom in LoEC3.

Started bye rounds ranked 1800 so went nowhere which is a bit disappointing as I did so much planning. Traded Buddy this week so hoping he only misses a couple.

Really need Lewis and Selwood to find some form if I am going to make top 1000.
Will be upgrading Sadd to Murphy this week to finish off my team with $100K in the bank for some luxury upgrades in a few weeks time.

Moved up again from 12,266. Overall came out well from the byes, even though so many players let me down. Of course a lot of other people were let down by the very same players!

Sloane. Dangit! Bitch moan, bitch moan……Going to have to use one of 9 trades to replace him.

  17. Got lucky this week, only had 17 on the field but managed to win all 5. Didn’t lose a match over all 3 byes

Shocker of a week but only dropped about 3000 spots, which was better than I expected. Don’t have the Sloane & Buddy Show to deal with either, which is good because the “low trades” light is flashing furiously. Currently sitting 9th in SCT League 1, hoping for a big finish to the year!

  20. 1758/Fyfe/350

Moved up from 488 and had a narrow win in LoEC1 so pretty happy with the round. Got the Sloane dilemma though but likely to keep Buddy. Need Selwood to lift as well if any chance of rising further up in the overall ranks.

  21. 1731 – 20ish (looped Lambert) – Fyfe – 54th

Didn’t cop Tom Mitchell but did have to eat 2 ~30 scores and Sloane.

Thought I was done for after injuries and sack-worthy scores from Hodge and Bud ( 🙁 ) but looks to have been a really low week – where’s the joy in that?
