Projected 1960. Absolutely disgusting. Good bye top 500, was fun while it lasted!

    Scraped through with 18 players so had to cop: Buddy (48), Rocky (59), S.Martin (72), Lynch (37), J.Selwood (73), Nankervis (72), Witts (72), Macrae (70), Dahlhaus (70), Bontempelli (90) and Hibberd (79)

    1. One thing i nailed, goodbye top 500… Dropped 224 spots to 518. Came into byes at 510 so disappointing finish.

  2. Not bloody happy! After the tigs swans game i was 963 from 8. Ended on 1756 from 18 after being projected 1950-2000! Can supercoach 2018 start already im sick of this year.

I feel like this year not only have we had terrible rookies but we have had so many mis firing premos getting shit scores.

Guns: Danger as usual with the C, Yeo on debut, Rance, lloyd, heeney, JPK and Doch.

Duds (where to bloody start): Jelwood, Nank, Stef martin, Beams, LYNCH / liam jones for being a villain and the three doggies (bont, macrae and dahl)

What a horrible round. Premiums were dud across the board. Selwood, Franklin, Lynch all had shockers. Can’t wait to get a full team back on the field.

  4. 1734/Danger Vc/Maybe 10k or so.
Seems a reasonable score. 7 out of 7 league wins.
Bit of a brain fade bringing in Lynch for Steele at the last minute.
I am really really sick of Docherty at the moment. I dont have him and he scores unbelievably well so that i cant buy him at a discout. I do not understand why opposition coaches dont man him up or even tag him as he is almost a mid fielder. In fact he better be careful other he might lose his defensive status in Supercoach 2018.
BTW 16 out of 21 league wins over the byes so my planning and scheming was worthwhile

  5. 1699 / Danger / only had 18 this week
I had 1 crucial match this week and it was a match i couldnt lose on paper and manged to win by only 6, i am still struggling to stand after the tense final minutes

Stars: Danger, Docherty, Yeo, Goldy, Lloyd

Duds: Every other player on the team apart from Stewart as a 74 was almost a good score this week

  6. 1715/Dangerfield. 17 played. /Was 4795.
4 under 60 and another 3 in the 70s. Only 8 tons. Shocking round and one I want to forget. Moved up 5000 places over previous 2 bye rounds now comes the crash.

    1. Moved up to pos 856 on that score, very happy with that. Was at pos 8804 at the end of round 9 , so strangely enough the bye period has been very good to me.

  7. 1659/Danger I should be happy byes are over but some of my premiums in the last two weeks have been disgraceful. Traded in Macrae this week. Surely nothing can go wrong with that trade lol

Lots of mediocre scores.. Bont/Dahl/Hibberd/Nank/Tuohy but overall not too disastrous
Happy to see the back end of the byes

  9. 1764/Danger/was 41k but hoping for a big jump based on the other scores I’m seeing

Heroes were really Hannan & Stewart. Plus Danger, Simpson, Rance’s 2nd Half

Villains were Rocky, Beams, Dalhaus, Macrae, Bolton’s 2nd half

  12. this round was tough.. limped out of the final bye round with the bare 18 suiting up, 1770/Danger.. was just inside 4,500 so should hold and I’m chuffed with that when all is said and done.. only 8 trades remaining so playing for luck..

and still won 4 out of 4 league games
seems 1700 or over a decent score,
wow thank Christ the byes are over,
    but with
    selwood 73
    nank 72
    buddy 48
    rocky 59
    macrae 70
    z jones 80
    dahl 84
my year is hanging on by a thread,
also with Sloane and fyfe up and down like brides nighties,
going to make for a wild ride for the rest of the year

  15. 1739/Docherty

So I accidentally missed putting the VC on Danger so was forced to run Rocky into Docherty as my VC and C. Couldn’t believe the game Doc put in when other premiums are struggling.

Who would have thought that Newman, Powell-Pepper and Stewart would all outscore Selwood, rocky, lynch, buddy, S Martin and Nankervis!?

  16. 1783 / Danger

Was 7k so hoping this will bump me up a bit but let’s see. First year I have tried to field a decent team all 3 byes and ended up getting 1793 / 1755 / 1783 lol. May have over thought it a little.

Down to 145. The down week was bound to come. A few bad scores from premiums and only 18 players didn’t help.

  18. 1,684 / Dangerfield / 1078 (was 862)

Not a good week for The Salamander. I was projected to go well over 2000 before the round started, so this is very disappointing. To add insult to injury, I also managed to lose my SCT Cup matchup. Oh well.

I hope my next 10 weeks are a lot better than my last 3!

  19. Bring it on! 1801 this week moved me from 13th to 8th overall.good byes moved up around 100 places. Drama this week weather to trade scooter up to a premium have 200k to spend or to hold. Also trading newman to lloyd dont know weather its worth the trade. Have 10 trades left

    1. Also interested in overall bye numbers. For me:

8181 before, 5006 after, average of 1776 over the 3 rounds.

  21. 1721/Danger VC’d/19 but left Smurph on the bench due to total dickhead error – cost me league win by 17 and SCT cup.

Only 4 really good; Doc, Danger, Goldi and Ryder. Harbrow stuffed up my bye strategy somewhat, plus underscoring promos like most people.

Picked up 480 places over the byes and now sitting 2318.

  22. 1766/Dangerfield/919

Had nine premiums score a total of 302 points below their average. Partly my own fault though as this week I traded in Rockliff instead of Zorko and Lynch instead of Heeney which was a 153 point error.

Ranked 11,828 after round 10, 2205 after round 13, avg 1894 over the 3 rounds.

  24. Ranked 1,824 overall.
Started bye rounds ranked 2,191, so went up 367 spots.
Lost ground in weeks 1 and 3, but had a nice week 2 score.
Used up 9 trades, which was 2 more than I had panned/hoped for.
Newman for JJ 3 weeks ago looking just a tad silly now…
8 trades left, looking at final defensive upgrade and downgrade (L.Ryan) this week.
T.Stewart and S.Selwood the most likely trade out options.

  25. I love bye rounds always move up lots in rankinhs every year. Ave 1865 pos round 10 26910 and now ranked 8017 cant help but think if only i can get a decent start to a year. Ah well.

  26. 1767 Danger. Over the bye rounds have moved up 20,287 places to 9550 which I am pretty happy about.
Heroes this week Danger, Docherty, Lloyd, Newman (the rookie who just keeps on giving), JPK, Yeo, Heeney and Ryder.

Duds of the week Macrae and Dahl. And me. Before heading to work Thursday night made a rash trade to get another body on the ground Fyfe to Scooter. Doh……..
The Nank is looking tired so he will become Gawn in a few weeks.
Have 10 trades left, not quite full premo, but my rookies are finally starting to moo so I will need to do some smart trading.

  27. 1706/Danger/4669. Over 300 below forecast score for round. ๐Ÿ™

Two massive trade fails this week. Going with Beams to tray and save a trade on the Jake Lloyd deal (which didn’t work) rather than Zorko.

    And bloody Lynch.

Gained a couple of thousand places, mostly during the round 11 bye.

Had two scoring shockers. Rnd 12 was bad as was 13.

    6839 after round 9. 2430 after round 11.

    – 187 from last week.

Not as bad as I had feared. Still very unhappy I messed up bringing in Kreuzer. Only 18, but at least I had 18. Same good and bad as most everyone else.

  29. Score: 1655
    Weekly Ranking: 32482
    Overall Ranking: 16252 (17385)
Heroes: Docherty, Dangerfield (C), Zorko, Yeo
Villains: Rockliff, Beams (Unless injured or ill as some suspect), Witts, Nankervis, Macrae.
Notable Absentees: Laird, Adams, Shaw, Ryan, Pendlebury, Treloar, Fyfe, Greenwood
    Trades Made: Myers to Mountford
    Trades Planned: Barrett to Lloyd
    Trades Left: 15

    Trades: 5.5/10

Just the one trade to get 18 on the park. Mountford was okay and has hopefully done enough to keep his spot.

    Defence: 7/10

Massive contribution again from Docherty, who leads the scoring in my side for the second week running. Stewart was serviceable with 74, but Berry could only muster 44 which dents his cash generation.

    Midfield: 4/10

My leadership group of Dangerfield and Dayne Zorko led the charge, but they had very little support with Fisher, Mountford, Beams, Barrett and Rockliff all scoring between 47 and 66 points; Bontempelli continued his disappointing run with a 90

    Rucks: 3/10

Witts and Nankervis were both down this week, Nankervis especially poor as he missed two set shots. Still I’ll hold onto him until such a point where I can hopefully swing him back to F7

    Forwards: 5.5/10

Yeo scored well, and Heeney was okay; but the Doggies Duo disappointed. Shai Bolton was on 80 at half time, but finished on 63; which certainly stings.

    Overall: 5/10

    Comments:

I was astonished that after Supercoach opened and I checked my ranking that I actually went up about a thousand places rather than fall as I was sure I was going to. With only five players raising the bat (though three of those were 140+), and 11 scores at 74 or lower, getting through the round with an improved rating was beyond my wildest hopes.

I will get a large chunk of my side back this week – I’ve just got to hope that I won’t have any more curveballs thrown at me if I am to make any further inroads this season.
