Don’t want to talk about sc this week. I have a feeling there’ll be a few jumping above me

  2. 2332/Dangerfield

Thanks to Danger, Doc, Smurf, Goldy, Selwood, Laird, Macrae & Buddy for raising the bat

The most disappointing fact, I had 2 (emg) bench players in Ryan & Parsons outscore premiums in Stef Martin, Rance, Dahlhaus, Lloyd, Adams & Lynch…..could of seriously gone massive!

Great to finally repay my fellow coaches in the CattasSCTchallenge league, by hopefully coming home strong to help shape the top 8 for finals

    Cheers Catta ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. No mate, you played Macca & pipped him by 5 points

Huge chance to improve our league standings with 8 coaches getting over 2300

        2341, 2332, 2328, 2327, 2323, 2320, 2308 & 2301

        1. Yay! I’m finally helping the League! ๐Ÿ˜‰

2320 from Team Schwarz. Very surprised considering Williams, Howe & JPK all missed. Went with Ryder instead of Gawn after Hutta’s write-up highlighted his tough run home……cheaper option, dpp and now 50 pts ahead there. Hoping like hell that my guys can hold their form now…..

          1. I was really hopimg to beat you this round Catta as i am striving to play finals in this great league. Kennedy being out made all the difference. There should be a rule that says a premo can’t bbe a late out when your number one bench cover is being rested that same week. At least i did my bit for the league.

  4. 2490 – was 30,287 last week. Thinking this will improve my chance of top 10k finish significantly ๐Ÿ™‚
Had all of Macrae, T Mitchell, Ward, Danger (C), Goldy, Simpson, Doc, Laird, Fyfe, Oliver plus decent contributions from Bont, Shaw, Pendles, Heeney & Parsons (!)

Ecstatic with the score considering G Ablett, J Kennedy and H Greenwood all missing with H Shaw, J Parsons and A Witherden replacing them.

    5 120+: P Dangerfield, S Docherty, N Fyfe, T Goldstein and J Selwood
    11 100+: R Laird, J Macrae, S Burgoyne, L Franklin, J Witts and K Simpson

Just not my week with only 4 Tons with 3 being big ones.

Went from chocolates to boiled lollies after winning 10 League Matches last week to a big fat Zero this week.

    Bring on Next week.

  8. Before I post my ordinary score I just want to address the post I made on the teams
the other night, I was out of order and it was out of character. I am not normally a d/head but that is no excuse , no more of that nonsense from me. With four of my starting 22 out and sideways trading Gaz to Cripps to cover donut I ended up with
2080 /Danger , no chance now of making league finals but I will keep on whacking away.Still have a few trades left.
    Good coaching everyone !

  9. 2203 / Danger

Didn’t trade this week, which means I didn’t bring in Macrae, but also avoided Lynch and Gawn. Too much is being left to too few in my team, sound familiar?

  10. 2247 / Danger / 21 players
Once again Greene and JJK were out, but Parsons came in clutch and outperformed all my other fwds bar Franklin.

Treloar, Roberton, Hibberd, Dahlhaus, Adams, Lloyd, Yeo, Whitfield (should of listened to community and went Parker) and Neale we all either sub par or pathetic.

Goldy, Jelwood, Doc, Danger, Parsons, Titch and Laird were my best performers and i will put Strnadica here as he was solid with my captains loophole and looked in his comfort zone and had it covered.

Was ranked 8167, hopefully i don’t suffer too bad with this score

  11. 2457 – Danger
The skipper and Zorko got about a 1/4 of my score which was handy! Those that foolishly traded Fyfe out will be made to look silly in the back half of the year I feel.
Ranked mid 3000s so hopefully push up a bit!

    1. You could be right Daisy about Fyfe. At least I traded him to Zorko round 13 so at the moment I don’t feel too silly. By season end may well be different though.

  12. 2347 -Danger – won all 6 leagues, so happy, and think I’ll be the new leader of the SCT chicks league as it was 1st vs 2nd. Glad to see 100’s from T Mitchell, Macrae, Witts, Laird, J Selwood, FYFE & Doc. Gawn a bit disappointing on debut but he saved me a donut, and I think he’ll improve. Should hopefully move up a few more places, was 5099 last week.

  13. 2300/Kelly

Took Kelly to play safe, probably do the same next time.
Missed GAJ, JPK, Greenwood and Cripps at the end!!
Had seven score 129+ amongst 11 tons (Danger, Kelly, Smurph, Doc, Goldi, Ryder, Titch) providing a sound base. Unfortunately coverage was poor with Mountford and Witherden having to suffice, and spuds at the bottom end making it hard, particularly Hibberd, Dahl and Harbrow.

    Onward and hopefully upward?

  14. 2347 – Tom Mitchell. ( B.Eddy)I took the VC costing me 70 points if I had kept Dangerfield as captain. Thats the way it goes. Lots of passengers this week but luckily Zorko was massive and few other shinning lights kept my round ok. Was 2326 last week. Can only hope.

      1. Dangerfield scored 330 points as captain whilst Tom Mitchell was 260 points, a difference of 70 points. Thank Chillo for trying to make it seem better though.

        1. Chillo is correct as you still get the other score. Common miss conception.

          Danger (C): 165 + 165 + 130 = 460 points
          Titch (C): 165 + 130 + 130 = 425 points

          1. Huttabito, you are correct. I humbly apologise to Chillo and I thank your good self for pointing out my error. This is why this is the best site on the internet because it has such astute and knowable contributors. Thanks and good luck for the rest of the season to everyone.

Somehow completely missed Greene not playing and cooped donut. Late outs from Howe didn’t help either but witherden was serviceable cover
Thumbs up to danger, Murphy, Mitchell, doc, laird and Macrae

  16. 2028 / Cripps / 4700 (was low-2000s)

The wheels have well and truly fallen off at Salamander HQ! Having Cripps as captain didn’t help. Neither did VC-ing Dangerfield and then forgetting to leave myself with a loopholing option.

At least my Fantasy and RDT rankings are heading in the right direction…

  18. Score: 2366
    Weekly Ranking: 5421
    Overall Ranking: 16257 (19751)
Heroes: Docherty, Laird, Dangerfield, Zorko, Fyfe, Macrae
    Villains: Treloar, Beams, Dahlhaus
Trades Made: Bolton and Ryan to Witherden and Gawn
    Trades Planned: None
    Trades Left: 9

    Trades: 5/10

Figured Witherden was just about a must have and in order to avoid a doughnut and get Gawn in I had to trade one of Ryan or Mountford to raise enough $$$ to be able to get Gawn in. A little under par for what I was hoping for first up but I’m hopefully he’ll get better as he gets more match fitness.

    Defence: 7.5/10

Docherty was superb yet again; I was feeling pretty smug as I left Tom McDonald on 109 at 3/4 time and came back to see him on 96; scaling brought him to 100 which looks much better. Laird was great, Shaw was improved; but Adams and Lloyd only managed low eighties.

    Midfield: 7.5/10

Patrick Dangerfield is an absolute machine; with yet another score of 140+, he was my VC, but his score was overshadowed in the very same match, the legendary Dayne Zorko smashing out a colossal 196 ; however, he wasn’t helped much by his Lions cohorts in Rockliff and Beams; in fact, Fyfe, Dangerfield and Zorko outscored Bontempelli, Pendlebury, Treloar, Rockliff and Beams put together. Though he’s on the Villains list this week, I must give to Beams for coming back so quickly and saving me a trade.

    Rucks: 4.5/10

Gawn below par on debut but it avoided a doughnut; Witts continues to be a good performer.

    Forwards: 4/10

Only the one tonne via Macrae; Dahlhaus was terrible; Heeney okay; Yeo and Nank in the eighties, and Cox was satisfactory covering JJK.

    Overall: 5.5/10

    Comments:

Well, my highest score for the season for the second week running; yet I still have a lot to be disappointed about. Too much is left to too few; aside from a blip a couple of weeks back, Zorko, Dangerfield and Docherty have been carrying my side, with solid support from Heeney, Witts and Tom McDonald since last week. But other than that, it’s a complete lottery as to who will perform, star, or stink. I could’ve pushed 2600 had my ‘Premiums’ who were poor this week just performed at their average as it stands now.

Unfortunately due to absences I don’t have the best DPP set up, with Greenwood and JDC on the MID bench and Witherden and Hibberd on the DEF bench, but hopefully JJK will be back next week and scores like Zorko’s will be the cherry on the cake instead of on the half-baked mess.

  19. Was playing my arch nemesis, wearing two donuts, and expecting a walloping. Ended up with almost 2300 courtesy of Messrs Zorko, Fyfe and Murphy. And of course captain danger. Ended up smashing him by over 100. Stoked as!!! Will b nice to get JJK and Greene back though!

  20. 2270. Danger. 6154.

Greene, JPK, missing. Cripps (25)going down on debut.

Awesomeโ€ฆ.Danger, Fyfe, Doc, Ryder, Selwood, Simpson, Laird, Macrea.

Many under performers. Sloane, Neale, Dusty, Dahl, Hibberd, lynch, Gawn.

Big shout out to Parsons and Berry for coming of the bench and holding up.

Somehow managed 5/9 league wins and moved up 82 places overall.

Looking forward to fielding my best 22 at some stage this year.

At least Freo had a win!

I’m afraid I’ve upset the SC God’s with my ‘I’ve had a lot luck’ gibe post byes. Since then I’ve been hit with the Ablett,Fyfe,Kelly ,Sandilands all out in the one week, followed by trading in Greene and him being a late out and not returning , Sandy finally coming back and lasting 1.2 nanoseconds before going twang and trading in Gawn for his worst game the season. Thinking of upgrading Tuohy to Hurley and waiting to see whether GAJ gets selected, if not he becomes Jelwood.Dropped almost 2k since the bye, need monster score next week to get back in the running.

  22. 2495/Dangerfield

Thought it would be a shocker with Z Williams, Greene, Greenwood & JPK all out, but the bench of Ryan, Hibberd and Parsons did the job admirably.

The usual suspects in Danger and Doc did their stuff, but when you add in Simmo, Fyfe, Goldy and Ryder going large it was (finally) a good week!

Dad’s team has hit the lead in SCTTL, so a great week all around!

  23. 2352 TMitch, up to 7870 place. 9/9 league wins

Likes: Zorko, Danger, TMitch, Selwood, Ryder, Laird, Doc and Macrae. Hat off to Witherdon and Parsons for covering outs (Florent also).

Dislike: Treloar, Bont, Dahl, Yeo, Hanners and Grundy all underperformed.

Decided not to trade Nank to Gawn, which for that round at least was a good move.

6 trades and $140K in the bank left.
