Was 4th seed and knocked out number one seed with
Heroes: Fyfe, Laird, Bontempelli, Ziebell, SPS and Dom Sheed underperforming today was the difference as he had him and I didn’t
Villians: Birchall, Sicily (Cripps and Dangerfield are forgiven as basically everyone has them)

Excited for the week off but scared with 0 trades left

Most stressful round of the year, by far. I decided to forego any trading and played Setterfield in Jez Cameron’s absence.

My cash league match up was 1st vs 2nd in total points. I needed 154 from Bont to win, so not only did he deliver and send me straight into the prelim, he has preserved my league total points lead as well, you bloody beauty.

Personal PB for a one week score, pretty stoked and super appreciative of all the advice i’ve gotten from this site over the season.

Hoping there is going to be some similarly huge scores among the SCT community 🙂

Loving to see all of the huge scores going around from the fellow community members so to those well done

  5. 2548 lost both league matchups, knew i was rooted when worpel scored 149 on friday , oppo had him and didn’t have grundy , who would have thought.
Can watch on now with no pressure, all the best to teams at pointy end.

        1. Thanks as , has been a tough season lots of injuries at wrong time , went from looking to be top 5k minimum to scrambling to make top 10k, might just make it.

Ditching worpel last week really hurts. As does lycett being dropped. Bringing Mcgovern in for Ryan was the shining light. Will drop a few spots i think

    1. Chin up, might not be as bad as you think, it’s a raffle at the pointy end of the season, it’s still a decent score. The nine above you still have to beat that score.

    2. Totally agree with Joestar. A lot of popular OUTs at the top end this week. You might get a pleasant surprise … hope so 😉

    3. Good stuff, hammer.

Whole time I was at the Eagles game today I was rooting for McGovern to get amongst it for your sake. Nice move.

        1. Yeah, happy with Simmo. We [West Coast] were pretty efficient inside 50, so there wasn’t much for him to do. Ty for talking me out of Hunter Clark btw.

  7. 2366/ Neale/ was 5k something.
    Just an absolute shit round.
Started Thursday night with Lycett dropped so had to field Burgess.
Friday night it was Birchall doing his hammy whilst well on the way to tonning up. But at least my Roos won.
Today was umming and arring who to put the C on – Neale or Macrae and picked the wrong option
Will use my last trade to replace Birchall/Ryan and hope like hell that Lycett comes back in (although I can’t see how as the Port SANFL team had the bye so he couldn’t impress)
Had the double chance in a few leagues so have the chance to redeem myself next week
Ahhhhhh. Supercoach why do you do this to me ?

    1. Think Lycett was rested, tho after a big win who knows mate. Am praying he’s back next week. Setters isn’t good enough to cover!

      1. Apparently Ladhams had played a great game in the SANFL the week before and they wanted to reward him, AS. Happen to come at Lycett’s expense. You’d think they wouldn’t change a winning formula, but SURELY he comes back next week?

  8. 2606. Macrae. My top score by a couple hundred. Won all my qualifiers against higher seeded opposition. Could have been more as I went worpel to Marshall this week.

May look to move Sloane out for Dusty in my GF qualifier, depending on next week ofcoarse.
2 trades and 20k in the bank. Harris Andrews also a bit of a liability atm but think I’ll back him in.

  9. 2483/Gawn/was 1993rd

Won 2/3 eliminations and 5/7 qualifiers, so have to be happy with Setters covering for Lycett.
Very happy with my Man of Steele and several others 🙂
Cripps, Sicily and Danger the only real disappointments.

Won in the Leagues I wanted to and can save trades for a week as a result. If I lose the others next week, so be it. Saving last two trades for Prelims (and hopefully the odd GF).

Some outstanding scores, particularly pleased for SCT’s high-ranked players. Keep going all. Brilliant stuff.

PS sorry FD. You had me worried with Newman, Walsh and Bont smashing it today. A brilliant Sunday from you, but the time difference (cf Twitter) might just have cost you 🙁

  10. 2445 / Macrae / down 133 spots to 546

Brought in Birchall this week. Was laughing at halftime, not so much shortly afterwards. All the best Birch, you’ve been a star. On the upside, I nailed my captaincy choice for once. Left Robbie Gray on the bench though, which cost me a few points. Congratulations to everyone with the big numbers this week, it’s great to see SCTers doing so well!

Notes for next year: resist picking Sloane, Sicily and key forwards. And learn to forgive Adam Treloar for when he burned you a couple of years ago…

  11. 2426/Gawn/691 (-194)

Into 4 out of 5 prelims so not too bad. Would love to hang on to my spot in the top 1k for the rest of the year though.

  12. 2581 / Gawn / 2452 – gained 590 places.
Into PFs in both cash leagues. A week off but don’t want any more injuries. Only have 1 trade left.

  13. 2488/Macrae/2533 (-65)

Mixed round for me. Started off shaky with bum scores from Cunnington and Sicily, then my luck turned when I loopholed Snelling by benching Sloane and then I backed myself in to pass up VC Gawn and captained Macrae.

Despite those clever maneuvers, sub par scores from Lloyd, Danger, Cripps and Neale dragged me down to mediocrity.

I know it’s not a terrible score, but I just want a week where everything goes right and I can put up a MONSTER. Ah, one day.

  14. 2390/ Gawn/ 9,366 (from 8163)

Used my remaining 2 trades to finally grab Marshall but had a sextet of poor performers under 80 (Dangerfield, Cripps, Mundy,Westhoff, Sicily and Andrews) which still leaves me without 1 round over 2400 this season.

Hopefully can welcome back J Kelly next round, loop Mundy and Hoff at F6 and finally score in excess of 2400.

Pushing top 500 to close a good year thanks to this great site!
Time to trade Sicily or hold fire? (2 trades left)

  16. 2550/Gawn/ You dont wont to know.

My highest score this year. Won 6/7 games. I was set for a monster score but Sunday bloody Sunday again. Still happy and have two trades left.

            1. The guy he beat scored 2510. Imagine you score 2510 and you get flogged by 312 points!!!

Happy overall with only let downs Kennedy, O’Brien, ( although great all season as my best ever cash cow) Cripps , Dangerfield , Lloyd and Hurn.

  18. 2520….gawn…just slipped into top 5k. Its been a crap year after top 1k last year…was 50k after r4 and have kept moving up each week, but some awful mid pricers early hurt. Good move this week r gray to bont allowed me to win 5/7 leagues. Three trades left, but still cant go rob to grundy with two trades 🙁

  19. 2682/Gawn/Now 445

    Moved up 356 spots

PB score for me in a PB season after doing this for 10+ years.

Full team of almost the top 6 avg players on each line and 3 trades left now just deciding what to do to try and move up more

    Sloane for Yeo?
    Stewart for Hurn?

Never been in a position to perform these sort of luxury trades so advice would be sweet!

    1. Good sh*t, Baz!

Wouldn’t have any objections to either of those moves if you have the trades. Keep up the good work!

  20. 2473/Gawn/now 144 dropping 45 places.
These injuries are just making it impossible to get full premo. Now Zorko is gone after bringing him in for Ryan. Won 3/4 qualifying finals so I guess shouldn’t complain.

  21. 2594 /Gawn (now 892 up from 1129).

Happy with trading Houli in for Ryan. Wishing I’d got R Gray in instead of Darling, though.

Won 9/10 finals games, lost the other one by a lousy point!

But really chuffed that Eagles got over the line against Carlton, was a good game to watch at the ground.

  22. 2,428 / Gawn / 4,132 (was 3,530)

The Salamander’s late-season form slump continues. Lycett being out didn’t help, especially with Zac Fisher – who has been playing a lot more forward than midfield under Teague – for cover.

I have also officially joined the zero trades club this week. A nervous few weeks ahead!

  23. 2588/Gawn/374

Pretty happy with my score this week with most premo’s firing and winning 9/10 leagues putting me into the prelims of those.

    Studs:
    Williams
    Houli
    Macrae
    Fyfe
    Bont
    M.Crouch
    Gawn
    Grundy
    Greene

    Duds:
    LLoyd
    Rich
    Sloane
    Cripps
    Danger

only 1 trade left and 84k bank hopefully no more injuries :/ over the last four weeks I’ve had 4 =[

  24. 2441 / Gawn / 6505.

    Meh..

I still won 7/10 leagues somehow.

I’m pretty bummed about reversing a trade to get Worpel in at F6/7 to loop with Westhoff. Now I can’t afford to do it with one trade.

I did resist the temptation to trade M Crouch though.

Two trades left, so hopefully I can nail them and have a shot at a few league finals.

Reminiscent of last year, dropped 2000 places in the last 4 weeks. 4 weeks ago I was 330 and then disaster struck!
LOEC next year will be almost top 500!!
