I think a reasonable result in the end. Roughy needs to go but just need to formulate how I’ll generate cash this year. The overall winner this year I feel will have taken great risks with mid pricers and will rightfully deserve to win it I think.

    1. Super glad I hung onto Treloar too.
I wasn’t expecting too much today given the dewy conditions but he’s stuck it up a few that would’ve traded him after a few games where he deserved a better score then he was given.

    2. Played a guy in the top 100 today who has a very mid price bias to his team that had given him terrific results.
However today he crashed to mid 2100’s.
I think it might just be a big raffle this year?…

7 @ 120+ lead by Sloane ranger, Nank, Titch, Dahl, Macrae, Danger and Laird.
Needed 85 from Adams to crack 2300 and thought that wasn’t a tough ask.

9 from 9 in my league games.

Fingers crossed I can stay in Roo blokes SCT CUP.

I’m not sure who 97 Flamingos Captained?

But by my maths, It will be close.

    1. Hey Freo, I would be the captain of the 97 Flamingos, and I’m happy enough to say that you’ll have beaten my by 30 or so points overall. Congrats on a great round of 2, I can’t wait to keep watching the SCT Cup

      1. Thanks Cambeat10.

        I’m stoked!

I would concede the win in a second to have your ranking.

I will be keeping an eye on you in the SC group.

Best of luck with the rest of your season.

        Cheers.

          1. 302 is very impressive.

I’m now 11136. Up from about 45k in 3 weeks.

My aim was to finish top 5k and win a couple of leagues.

Now I just want to come from the clouds to win the SCT CUP.

  5. 2214 / Fyfe / TBA

I was tracking for 2300+ before today’s game, so this score is a tad disappointing. Still, I’m sure it won’t be too bad in the end (but I’ll have to wait until the rankings are updated to be sure).

Honestly i’m stoked with that. Second week in a row I’ve had to play Pickett on field and yet this time was able to pull out a respectable score with no new injures/required trades.

Shoutouts to Selwood, Treloar, Danger, Fyfe, Dahlhaus, Laird, Nankervis and Oliver who all went 115+

Average week by a lot of players, WHE, Roughy, Murphy, Swallow, SPP, Grundy.

Looking at upgrading Swallow to a premo by downgrading either WHE or Roughy.

May the SC scores be with you…

Just the usual luck in the 2017 Supercoach bizarre world. 2 weeks in a row my captain has failed to score under 100 as well as durable, consistent and top echelon premiums scoring well below their usual output. Only 10 times in the past 194 matches Pendles has dipped below 80 and I had the pleasure of captaining him on this occasion.

Thanks to Sandilands, Burgoyne, Selwood, Otten, Hampton, Laird, Dangerfield and Fyfe for scoring over 100.

Hopefully next week I can rectify my 2 round average of 1917.

Very happy with 12 tons from Dahl, Macrae, Laird, Otten, Hampton, Fyfe, Sandi, Beams, Danger, Selwood, Nankervis & especially happy with Treloar finally!

Could be time to go for SPP & JOM next week I think. Would love to get in Sloane, and looking forward to the fallen premiums this week.

Now hoping I make it through the next round of the SCT Cup!

Adams & WHE disappointing today, however Treloar repaid the faith.
Really only Butler also down – but he’s doing his job.
Had a long look at my cash generation strategy today – gunna be tough….

    1. Up to 180 overall.

Slightly in shock at this posi – but it’s only early…..

I think my scoring success is down to SandiWitt in the ruck & HoustBut up frwd – allowed me to run 13&1/2 premo’s (otten is a least a half) & no traps like Jags Roughswallo.

      It’s only early…

easily my best round of the year and happy with myself mainly thou not so much with how I went well that yes but, last year my first year I was borderline reckless with my trades, this year already used 5 but this round didn’t make any, a lot to do with the help of others on here.. just looking to keep consolidating and waiting patiently for the right cows to present.. my current FWD line thou, needs urgent strengthening in the coming weeks..
    cheers lads..

Okay round. Thanks to the under performing Whe, Adams, Grundy and Pendles I went from losing 4 of 5 leagues to winning all 5 and think I even managed a win in the cup by a few points. It’s great to get some good fortune

  18. 2304 (fyfe) decent enough but kinda bummed as was sitting on 2087 with pendles, whe and howe to go. I thought i could hit 2400 for the first time.

I was 596 before this round hope I can move up a few spots.

Expect to move up slightly. But more importantly awaiting to see if I can make up the 80+ point deficit against PugPower in the SCT Cup. It’s gonna be close coz he’s got Pendles, Adams & Co ๐Ÿ˜›

  21. 2,301/Danger/5,991 (up 6,951 places) 10/10 League Wins

Much like last year, team started out slowly but starting to kick into gear. Moved from 36k-24k-12k-6k the last 4 weeks. Common denominator is now 1,000 so maybe that’s the next rank? ๐Ÿ˜›

A lot of rookies look cooked. Who knows what the plans are this week. Might need a cash grab this week as a few fallen premos are coming through.

    1. 2,321/Fyfe/5011

Moved from 50k-26k-18k-12k now 5k with 28 trades remaining.
Think Hanners is the one to get this week but downgrade to who??
My list of players on the chopping block are Roughy, SPP & Butler.
Will Newman, Eddy or Barret get a run this week?

      6

      1. I think those who still have Roughie have seen enough now. Hawks won this week and he still only managed 67 points, lost some cash and BE now up to 105. I traded him to Macrae this weekend just gone and it was one of the best moves I’ve done all season.

SPP and Butler still have obtainable BEs so they stay for my team. Need every $$ we can from these rookies this year. The other rookies should get a run soon but who knows when that is.

        3

        1. Roughy out and Hanners in with DPP swap.
His next 5 opponents – Carlton, Brisbane, North, Saints & Hawks.
Don’t think we will see him under 550K for the rest of the year.

Fifth consecutive week with a score between 2200 – 2300.

So many good eggs, treloar finally a big score, most rookies stepped up and after sluggish start has bumped up into near top 5k.
Murphy on debut, SPP, WHE and roughy the only let downs

    Have a little cash.
    Looking at Barrett to Fisher
    Kelly to Jelwood

Will still have $135k in the kitty……..Pendles probably coming in when his price bottoms out.

  26. 2,158/Danger/10,651

Biggest mistake (so far) thinking that Tom Boyd would continue his 2016 finals form this season and using him as DPP Ruck cover in the Fwd line. Thinking I need to trade him out for Witts and push Toby Nank into the Fwd line, where he should have been at the start.

  28. 2261 / Dahlhaus / 10457

Happily surprised at my week rank being good. Moved up 6434 places. 8/10 league matches and looks like I made it into the next round of the SCT Cup.

My low scoring cows are hurting me more than anyone I plan to keep. Disappointed in the Bont. He is still ahead of Hanners from when I swapped them, but by nowhere near as much. Still expecting that to work out long term, but we shall see.

  30. Score: 2126
    Weekly Ranking: 44418
    Overall Ranking: 17979 (13763)
Heroes: Laird, Hampton, Dangerfield, Zorko, Fyfe, Treloar, Dahlhaus, Nankervis, Macrae
    Villains: Berry, Pickett, Pendlebury
Trades Made: Taranto and Marchbank to JJK and Fisher
Trades Planned: Will like to go one up one down, but will have to study further.

    Trades: 5/10

Fisher was on the bench and as such didn’t have a chance to contribute to the score; Kennedy started strongly but faded, but seeing as I would’ve had a doughnut without trading it was still worth doing. Hopefully better things to come from these two.

    Defence: 6.5/10

I’ve seen discussion on some forums that Taylor Adams is a must have – well, for whatever reason, his scoring wasn’t on this round. The defence was a mixed bag. The Crows in Laird and Hampton tonned up – but they were the only ones to do so. Stewart chipped in with a handy 70. You can’t complain about Shaw’s 92, but his streak of scoring his lower than I would have hoped, and Berry, covering Newman, couldn’t even hit his B/E of 21.

    Midfield: 7/10

Well, what a surprise it is to have Dependlebury in the list of villains. I was even considering putting him as C over Dangerfield in my VC/C loophole; fortunately my VC did well enough. Speaking of my VC, Dayne Zorko is becoming the most consistent performer in my side, and indeed, in all of Supercoach. Adam Treloar showed why you keep your premiums; Dangerfield and Fyfe stormed home to record 120+ scores; and although Bontempelli was down he still surged late on.

    Rucks: 7.5/10

Sandilands also had a monster last term to sneak over the tonne, Witts was again good with 91. Before Spencer was injured the plan was to go Witts to Spencer, but further consideration is now warranted.

    Forwards: 6.5/10

Three 120+ scores in the forward line, but debutant JJK only managed 76. Parfitt’s 51 was eh, and Pickett playing was an expected disaster.

    Overall: 6.5

    Comments:

I feel like my main team isn’t that bad – at least compared to last year. My 19-22nd players are shocking though, especially 21 and 22; and I need to get rid of them. Also, it is disappointing that when Treloar raises his game, Adams and Pendlebury both drop. Hopefully I’ll be able to raise my scoring potential with some good trades soon.

  32. 2234 pts for round, Premo’s Adams and Murphy failed me. Also have average scores from my mid pricers, Roughy, Swallow and Steele. Time for one to go given got 28 trades left. Happy I started with J.Kelly, A. Treloar and Z. Tuohy from round one. Hovering around top 5000 mark still. Won all leagues but one.

Was happy to go up about 1200spots this week. Didn’t wake up today expecting to see that bit of good news.

The unfortunate part of the round is that I lost by 25pts to my friend. Im sure I’ll have some chirping in my ear over some long distance phone calls this week. Teacher still better than the student this time around ๐Ÿ™
