Somehow lost 200 points today. Did someone out there find them?

Edit: Now I’ve calmed down. Somehow managed 10/10 league wins so I’ll take that including some big named site regulars.

Studs: Docherty, Laird, Bontempelli, T.Mitchell, Powell-Pepper, Pendlebury, Sandilands, Macrae, Steele

Duds: Newman, Howe, Beams, Fyfe, Teloar, Dangefield (C), Franklin and Nankervis.

  2. 2089/Dangerfield/7 out of 7 league wins
This should significantly move me up the rankins not that I am threatening the leaders
Very peculiar round – studs playing like duds and vice versa
Thank you WHE. I thought 100 projected score was fanciful but boy did he prove me wrong.
Running out of captain options though as Danger, Fyfe and especially JPK underperform.

  6. 1941 / Danger – shite, but somehow won 3/6 leagues. But worried about the SCT Cup…. Trades next week – JOM & Parfitt. Happy I held onto SPP & WHE. I’m doing a great job of picking the wrong captain most weeks.

  8. 2005/Danger

Respectable score by the looks of things this week.

HEROES: Not many this week, but Shaw, Doc, SPP, JJK, WHE and Laird all coming through big for me this week.

SPUDS: Oh man, where to start? Let’s just list them all off. Dahl, JPK, Rocky, Witts, Dusty, Fyfe, Otten, Danger, Treloar and Nank all severe under performers.

Looking to bounce back next week.

  9. 1790/Danger

Panic stations! Premo carnage this week with Danger, S Martin, Treloar, Fyfe and Beams all having absolute stinkers and destroying my top 10% ranking. Will definitely be thinking hard over trade strategy this week, and stewing over the lack of “Delete Team” option in SC.

  10. Worst week in the history of supercoach… Predicted to get 2,300 only got 1915… So rubbish!

So so many failures, and I traded out SPP and kept omera on the field!

Lucky I got rid of roughie, but got franklin (did ok for 90)

Danger was my captain! Angry now

    1. wow, jumped 1300 places to be 103 overall. More importantly, 2nd in the SCT group. Like every other season, sharp drop out of the top 10,000 is just around the corner …

  11. 2100/Shuey

After seeing Shuey muscle his way to 98 I was worried but then Dangerfield did that and I felt ok 🙂

Hopefully can improve on my 3,900 ranking as it seems everyone struggled this week

  12. 1879/Danger/on the way down from 10k

Ouch. Havent had a week this bad since my rookie year when I had just found out there was such a thing as Australian football and didn’t know who any of the players were.

Given the carnage all around this week, I have my fingers crossed that I am not far off par for the round, however, I am expecting a big drop.

    🙁

5 premo mids under 73 points

  15. 1950 / Danger

Diabolical but still won 5/10 league games. Pendles, Doc, WHE and Laird saved me from a complete wipeout.

  16. 1750/Danger

    A reasonable score for……wait….what? This wasn’t a bye round?!
Carry on, everyone. Forget I said anything.

    Some 500pts below projected.

This season couldn’t be going more wrong even if I deliberately tried to make it. Time to find another hobby for this winter.

  18. 2124/ SLOANE. was 11k ,up from 45k in 3 weeks.

    Super Heros…. Doc / SLOANE /L.Neale / WHE / Laird.

    Heros…Sandi / Steele / Shaw / SPP.

A lot of under performing Premos this week.

lucky for me most people own them too!

Managed to loophole Newman and Parfitt for Stewart and Balic.

Hoping to carry a nice lead into the SCT CUP and crack the top 5k.

    Yeeeeeeewwwww.

  22. Score: 2000
    Weekly Ranking: 40,369
    Overall Ranking: 16,149 (17979)
Heroes: Laird, Adams, Bontempelli, Pendlebury, Powell-Pepper, Josh J Kennedy
Villains: Dangerfield (C), Zorko (VC), Fyfe, Treloar, Beams, Nankervis
    Trades Made: SPS to Balic
Trades Planned: I reckon I’ll need to plug up the gaps left by Parfitt and Nank. Hopefully Eddy/Pickett/Florent/Cameron get a game next week.

Trades: 6.5/10. SPS made his B/E and might have a little more cash to make, but I needed to get Balic in, otherwise I would’ve been eating a doughnut up forward.

    Defence: 7.5/10

Adams redeemed himself and Shaw got those extra 20 points that is the difference between an okay and a good score. Meanwhile Laird continues to be an excellent pick with 122. The rookies were rookies, but special mention to Berry on the bench who managed 62 points.

    Midfield: 3/10

This was supposed to be my Rolls Royce line; a guaranteed source of points. Bontempelli and Pendlebury both delivered in a big way, and Sam Powell-Pepper was also good, but Dangerfield, Zorko, Fyfe, Treloar and Beams could only manage a paltry 332 point between them, at an average of 66.4 points.

    Rucks: 6/10

Witts started with 47 points in the first quarter before finishing on 73. Sandilands managed to raise the bat, but in a round like this I’m just glad the rucks were pretty vanilla. It could’ve been much worse.

    Forwards:6.5/10

JJK came up with the goods, both in defeating the Dockers and getting me lots of Supercoach points. Macrae and Dahlhaus were a bit down on last week, but still provided solid scores. Balic chipped in with a very handy 78, but Parfitt succumbed to injury and Nankervis not only coughed up a poor score, but is every chance to miss a game.

    Overall: 6/10

    Comments:

Astonishingly, I managed to rise 1830 places in the overall rankings. Also, I was saying to myself this week – I’m going to change my Perma-Captain.

For me, the Perma Captain is picked for reliable consistency. Even if it doesn’t get 130-140, you’re still pretty much guaranteed a 110+ so if you really need the stability you pick this one. After GAJ suffered his unfortunate injury setback, the Perma Captain was Pendlebury, but after a couple of not-so-good scores in a row, I was going to put the Perma Captain’s band on the arm of Dayne Zorko, who not only had the capacity to score big on occasion, but was one of the most consistent performers in Supercoach for a good streak of games – but I shouldn’t have doubted Dependlebury. Also, you’ve got to give credit to the great man, Gary Ablett Junior. I won’t be trading him in right away, but he’s certainly done his chances to make my team no disfavour. I just hope, and not just from a Supercoach perspective, that he continues at this level for a long time to come.

On paper, my team isn’t awful, at least in my opinion. I’ve got to hope that my ‘premiums’ that under-performed really repay me next week.

Hope u do, l would say with the effort u r putting into it, goodluck

      1. Oh, I’m not getting anywhere close any time soon; I just ride off the coattails of better Supercoaches and gorge myself on the information they glean – and still mess up after all that.

  23. 2058 / The Bont (loopholed) / 10800-ish before this round

Seems not a lot of people got Bontempelli on the loophole… Seemed pretty obvious to me, but certainly a fluke. Don’t have GAJ, though.

Ranking: expect to rise, but no idea how much…

I think I did a Richmond slipping down to boiled lollies. If it wasn’t for a couple of rippers in Doc and Sloane Ranger it could’ve been worse.

Adams, Titch and Laird were great and you can’t complain when your rookies don’t cough up a ton each week, but did expect more from Danger, Beams, Fyfe and Witts.

Dropped 756 spots with that poo today!!

  25. 2054/Bont/2009

For the second time this year I got the third highest score in my money league and was beaten. And people complain about the AFL draw.

I had Dangerfield, Selwood and Pendlebury (guaranteed points) and my opponent had Ablett, Yeo and Hannebury. He won that battle by 263 points!!

  26. 2094 / Bontempelli / 2855

A great result for a low-scoring round, and a nice boost to my ranking. 9/10 league wins, too.

    Overall, I can’t complain.

Tough week but can’t complain considering the pain out there with some truely awful scores.

Pulling the trigger on a double upgrade this week to hopefully get an edge.

  28. 2206 / The Bont / 2299

Never have I been so happy over breaking 2200. Moved up 8158 places this round. 10/10 league matches. I have the same duds as everyone else, but Yeo, Zac Williams, Doc, the Bont, Laird, T Mitchell, WHE, and ever SPP put up happy scores this week.

Best overall position ever! Not really threatening the leaders, but happy anyways.

  29. 1991 / Danger / 1951

Actually didn’t drop down the ranking as much as I thought I would. Anyway…

…a lot of crap scores this week. Not just 80s or 90s but 60s from many premos.
Danger (c), Fyfe, Treloar, Beams, Nank, Dalhaus, JPK and O’Meara all underwhelming.

WHE, Doc, Adams, Laird, Steele and Pendles were fantastic.

  32. Team Schwarz

    1879 / Danger / 39k

After a solid opening two Rounds, I’ve managed to fall over 20k spots in the last four weeks. Scores seem to get worse no matter what “improvements” I make. Determined to get back into the mix……

  33. Dropped from 1495 to 2709. Still won 6/10 leagues.

    1947/Danger = top 33% for week.

Think the technical team was over 200 points better.

  34. 2,059/Sloane/1,881

Was at the game yesterday to see Sloaney turn in another great SuperCoach game. Does all the things to build a solid score virtually week-in week-out.
