  1. 2063 / Bont / was rank 127 overall last week

Doubting this score will put me into the top 100 although it seems everyone has had a poor week

  2. 2069/Bont

Not a bad score seeing as the selection carnage we all went through and had to field heap of rooks. Bont as C on dbeut was fkn awesome Heeney traded in just beauty =]

Hampton/Houston time to go i think hopefully decent rooks to dowgrade to.

    Studs:
    Adams
    Macrea
    Marchbank
    Murphy
    Danger
    Bont

    Duds:
    Treloar (Again…)
Grundy (Again, Cox seriously gtfo to the VFL.)
    Sandi (51 hitouts for a 77 :/)
    Low Scoring Rooks

Studs : Laird Goldy, Docherty, Adams, Yeo, Dahl, Heppell, Mitchell, Roughy (this is a surprise)

Duds: Treloar, Hibberd, Sandi and every rookie i have especially Parsons 🙁

Hopefully go up a couple of thousand spots. Traded in Montagna & Hanners this week for the do or die clash in the SCT Cup. Stoked with Hanners but disappointed with what Montagna dished up on debut.

Big question marks over Treloar & Parker notwithstanding some of the rookies, but Jones and Buddy went huuuge to save the day and more importantly a come from behind win in the SCT Cup (I think).

Was in the 2000s before dropping into the 7000s last week after only scoring 1854. Swapped JOM for Pendles (91) and had to bench Nank and increased score by 385. Hoping to move back where I was?

Not enjoying the last two weeks of supercoach. Horrible. Traded in parsons and moved players around to avoid donut from Nank. Would have been better to stick to long term goals which hopefully are still salvagable. Roughy finally cracking the ton the only highlight

    Bont/ was 870 odd.
Expect to fall down a bit after a rough week.
Bontempelli on debut as captain was a win.
Roughy finally put out a big game. He was nearly traded out the last few weeks but I’ve had other priorities.
JPK and treloar are bringing me down.
    Parsons on field. Blah.

Buddy finally came good but I have a feeling we didn’t make the next round of the SCT Cup…….

It’s a very sad state of affairs when my SCTTL team scores higher than this team. Somehow managed to scrape 3 wins out of 6. 8 rookies on the field and only Marchbank’s score of 108 acceptable – Parsons 19 was very poor – wish I’d selected Black instead. Too many passengers – Pendles who I traded in this week was disappointing, as was Treloar, Shaw, Selwood, Fyfe, in fact, most premiums again this week were below standard. Thumbs up to Witts, Macrae, Danger & Mont. 2 trades won’t be enough next week.

What a shocking 2 weeks. And we haven’t even had the bye rounds yet….

After rd 5 I had 3 scores over 2300 and hadnt dropped below a score of 2100. Last two weeks the same team has scored 1944 and 2024 despite one less rookie on field.

Now I’ll return back to my corner and curl up again…

  15. 1925/Bont

Highlights: Bont on debut, Marchbank, Titch
Lowlights: Howe, Treloar, Stef Martin, JPK, Sandi, and all of my rookies especially parsons.

could have afforded to get Buddy in but decided cash generation was more important and got Parsons. cue 140 point difference

  16. 2,123/Bontempelli/2028 (+2100)

Team falling into place, 3 weeks in a row I’ve gone 10/10 league wins.

Buddy brilliant this week. New recruit Adams was neutralised by Parsons. 11 x 100+ this week. 2 trades again incoming, it’s culling season.

Up and about after Freo’s win but knocked out of SCT Cup by 8 points just to put a dampener on the evening.

Lost my cash league match by just ONE point. Not happy Hibberd, not happy at all. 56 off 27 disposals.. really?

  18. 2089/Bont/3750 rank last week

Pendles and Parsons on debut not the best

Franklin finally repaying the faith after trading him in 3 weeks ago

An averaged out week to be honest and no complaints really. Twelve tons with only the Budstar over 117. Six with 60 or less. Got home too late to trade Beams for Neale but can live with that as I saved the trade, kept some cash and won 7/8 leagues and finished basically top two or three in each league so should be placed well.

Hoping I can avoid slipping down the rankings. Either way, I’ll have to wait until after the lockout to find out.

Really struggling to get sny consistent scores time for Hampton to go i think with 350k in the bank maybe just the one upgrade this week

  22. 1974/ Bont

Pendles, JPK, Treloar all poor. Hampton, Houston, Butler, Balic and Parsons on the field killed me this week.

Captain Bont on debut was nice but otherwise pretty depressing all round performance.

    Looking forward to culling season.

  23. 2236/bont/ 1241

Compared to some of the carnage ive seen this weekend I am quite happy with this score (5 rookies including parson on the field).

Time to start culling a rookie or two this week to continue growing the war chest

  24. 2074/Bont/998

Surprisingly moved up 200 spots into top 1000.
Tossed up between Buddy & Heeney and went the wrong way although Heeney still great on debut. Buddy in this week for Butler and Hampton out to someone under $505k.

    1
  25. 2095/Danger/332

Heeney was in for Beams and that paid off. Parsons was disappointing, as was Dusty, Selwood, Fyfe, Treloar and Sloane. Premiums need to lift

NEVER been this high or consistent…..and I reckon so much of it is due to the info I have ‘bothered’ to read in full for the first time on this site….thanks to all the writers – haven’t dropped below 2k and won every league game so far (I know I’ve just jinxed it) but rapped to be having a good year for the first time

  27. 2042 / Bontempelli / 2608

It was one of those rounds again, but I managed to climb a couple of hundred spots in the rankings, so overall I can’t complain.

Of my new recruits, Heeney was fantastic, but Hibberd was disappointing. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that he will prove to be a good player for me for the rest of the season.

  28. 1919 / Fyfe / dropped 4755 places…. was not going all that well to begin with.

Other commitments prevented me from loop holing bont……….. but the issue is not with the team i fielded… the issue is the fact that i had no rookies making any decent cash. They either played just average/poorly or not at all. How are teams upgrading – i’m broke and bleeding funds week to week with poor performances.

    1. That’s a problem that a lot of teams are facing. Of those of us who are not, some of us made a conscious decision to burn a few trades early to get the better rookies into our teams, whilst a handful of others managed to pick the right rookies to begin with. Others have probably taken more drastic action, such as downgrading an under-performing premium or mid-pricer to free up funds.

Don’t be too disheartened – most people are in your position, and even those of us who are in a better position are still worried about our long-term cash generation prospects. The rookie stocks this year are simply not very good. If ever there was a year to start a lot of mid-pricers, this was it.

      1
      1. Even that wasn’t fool proof, Whilst i’ve had success with Jones, Tuohy, Steele and Nankervis, The likes of O’Meara, Swallow (sold swallow this week) and Beams are/have given me headaches.

  29. Score: 1867/21
    Weekly Ranking: 98734
    Overall Ranking: 25488 (16149)
Heroes: Bontempelli (C), Macrae, Witts, Adams, Myself for saving a trade rather than getting Parson’s 19.
Villains: Treloar, Myself for not trading Parfitt and ending up with a doughnut; Myself for planning to get Parsons over Black. (Not that I would’ve hit 2000 with Black anyway.
    Trades Made:Pickett-Vickers-Willis
Trades Planned:Hampton and Parfitt out; one up; one down.
    Trades Left:25

Trades: 2.5/10. 35 points over a doughnut. Meh.

    Defence: 4.5/10

A good score from Adams, and decent scores from Laird and Shaw, but the rookies weren’t prolific.

    Midfield 2.5/10

When only 2 players out of 6 premiums score over 100; it’s a bad day. Marcus Bontempelli led from the front, his 128 the highest score of my team this week. Dangerfield managed 110, and rookies SPP and Barrett chipped in with 60 each, but Treloar was again disappointing; Pendlebury was below his high standards; Fyfe hasn’t reached his level this year, and Zorko, although improved on last week, couldn’t break the ton.

    Ruck: 6.5/10

Witts was great with 115, but Sandilands only managed 77.

    Forwards: 3/10

Macrae great with 117, Dahlhaus tonned up and JJK came close, but Balic and Florent contributed 74 between them and the doughnut ended up being up forward.

    Overall:

    Comments:

Another disastrous week. I’ve just got to power through and hope my ‘Premium Picks’ come good very soon. Also, after I traded SPS to Balic last week, he’s gone 78 (just beating his B/E, then followed it up with 134, sending his B/E down to -15 and giving himself a real possibility of generating another $100k cash – and I haven’t even made use of the generated cash yet.

  30. 1862/Stef Martin

If I could sum up my season in one player, it would be Treloar.
I’m struggling to envisage my team cracking the 2000 point barrier in the forseeable future.
It’s times like this I wish I had something else in my life.

    1. Treloar is seriously on the chopping list.

Traded out Roughy this week. Parsons in.

      Nuff said.

  31. 1997/Oliver/9888 Down 293

Just 1 ton from midfield, Titch, The rest need to lift, Danger, Ablett, Oliver, Fyfe, Treloar, Steele (borrowed from Fdw’s due to Beams out) and SPP.

Zak Jones 143 and Paddy Ryder 139 the stars that kept it respectable.

    3

    1
    1. Said at the start of the season Zak Jones was a gun. Bargain of the year for yhose who started with him.

Him and clayton Oliver would have been a much better starting pair than Treloar and a rookie.

This season is ridiculous. My ranking is the highest it has ever been but I have one only one game in my money league. This week was the third time I have had the third highest score in the league for the week but lost !!!!!!

I have scored over 200 points more than anyone else in the league but have 800 points more against me than most of them.

Luckily I have got the SCT comps to keep me going.

  33. 2000 / The Bont / 2898

Amazed I only went down 599 places.

Like last week, I had pretty much the same spuds. Unlike last week, I had very players not-spud to make up for it. I even added the Pendespud this week. Looks like I would have been better off with my original plan of a double downgrade.
