    1. Update: now ranked 2,714.

I was ranked 9014 at the start of the byes, so this has been a very good few weeks for me to say the least.

  1. 1998/Kelly/was 727

A little disappointed as I fielded 21 players and still managed to lose 3 out of 9 leagues (including to the Salamander)

Hopefully I have done enough to get a win in the SCT Cup trailing by 12 after 2 rounds.

Been a slow start this year but have jumped from 25,000 overall before the bye and now have a full premium side with 8 trades.

Satisfactory given I had 6 x players on 60 or less, not counting the discarded Ainsworth and Ryan, my sensational bye coverage players!!

6 x blokes 110 + in Max, Simmo, Sic, Goldi, Zerrett and Yeo and a little unders from Boak, Rocky and McLean (who shall be forgiven due to playing sore).

The old Tech Team continues to outscore my classic team. Charged home today with 4 x players scoring 628 to get to 2067 (Crippa C. Pendles, Daisy and Simmo).

Had a real decent score for only 17 players. My recruit in Kelly was awesome Hurley, not so much. Had 1 extra player on the bench in the fwd line but found no way to make up that last player without trading and by trading, Redman would have come in, which may have not gone down too well.

Stars: Devon, Yeo, Zerrett, Gawn, Sicily, Kelly, Westhoff, Simpson and of course Cripps. Some massive scores in this lot and surprisingly after a good start my Sunday held up. Devon just continuing to keep his tackling game up which is a great sign that he will not need to be moved on. Zerrett is finally getting back to last year’s form which is all i want from him. Bringing in Kelly this week was perfect for this week, only small disappointment is that i wanted him to not do as well before his bye so i could save money. Can’t win everything! Just need him to stay out of injuries and it will be a ripper trade for me.

Spuds: Hurley, Stef, Mclean, Fritsch and Ahern. wasn’t too many that disappointed this week but i am hoping it doesnt become continuous like Hibberd or Billings, who caused enough greif this season. Hurley has been low on form so he may not have been the best target to bring in but i have faith he will bring it back. Mclean has dropped off too but he has had some luck issues by coping knocks early in games and he just went missing in the last quarter this week. Getting concerned with Stef as Mcinerny is inputting more as the weeks go on which may seriously effect Stef’s output and i don’t want to have to use a trade on Stef unless it is necessary.

Very happy with this week managed to claim 8/10 wins, with every game bar 2 that had at least 1 extra player than me and the 2 i lost, they had at least 20 playing

    7/10 league wins

In the 3 I lost all 3 coaches scored over 2000 points this week, they deserved the wins so well done to those coaches

Only my opinion but most having Cripps as captain, Iโ€™m guessing you stuffed up missing out putting the (V) on Gawn & went Mitchell to only get 106….leaving Cripps to hopefully score well.

If you meant to put the (C) on Cripps, bloody well done!

    1. Good call Catta,

Thought Ryder would nullify Gawn, and he did save for a 60 pts last qtr, and Touk might tag TMitch, which he also did. But I incorrectly chose Grundy over Cripps as Cripps burnt my VC selection last week! bit of a story there…

Was hoping I would go up a bit this week but then Cripps went bang and I dont have him, so I’m seeing some bigger scores (like in this post) in some leagues. He’s quite popular so he’s been a bit of the ‘anti-POD’ for me this year.

I figure I am around par, maybe a bit above. Hopefully I can boost the rank a bit. It’s been a pretty positive bye-fixture for me. I mean, it was a struggle for sure, but trades up my sleeve to burn saved me in the end…and the team is stronger than at the beginning of the byes, which is always the goal!

    1. Super Coach has opened. I finished the week in the Top 10%. Boosted the rank by 2759. Now ranked 16165. Top 8%. I went up about 5k spots over the byes.

Feeling pumped up. I’m inside my goal of Top 10% and I’m in shape to (hopefully) not burn out as we head into the home stretch.

Still need to fill some holes and the team has a long way to go before it sorts itself out. However, I’m feeling far more positive after a result like this. Personal pre-season goals are at stake!

Was 3216 but will probably slide a bit with that score. 430k with 8 trades remaining with still 3 premo’s to complete the side. Looking seriously at either J.Kelly,D.Martin for mids De Goey Franklin for fwds and not sure for the backs.Currently have Laird, Simpson,Yeo,Sicily, Hurley and Savage. That may have to do.

  10. 1839/ T Mitchell/ Rank: 2928

Getting sick and tired of the luck I have to endure in this game. Apart from Round 1 I have had a premium injured or missing in just about every week (M Crouch injured in RD2, J Kelly injured in Rd 3 and missed RD4-RD9, Hurley missed RD9-10 and players dropped or injured during the byes).

Decided to bring in H Andrews for Doedee this week instead of Holman to Cripps due to Cripps’s high breakeven and select him in Rd15. It was a shame as my initial trade and plan was to keep Doedee at D7 and bring in Cripps. Andrews and Kreuzer suffer injuries and Cripps beats his breakeven by 30 and Holman misses his by 40. Now I have to replace Kreuzer and I will be unable to bring Cripps in unless I choose S Jacobs in the ruck over Goldstein/Grundy/etc.

Also was a shame as I had 20 playing this week and was looking forward to only having 1 rookie score to count in the 18 instead of all 3 rookies.

Another season over due to injuries but at least I’ll still enjoy providing stats regarding captains or trade options that will be beneficial to others.

  11. good on ya Adam. Very stiff. I think this is the first week since Rd2 where I haven’t suffered a premo injury/suspension, or both! Does mean I have very few trades left tho’.
Keep going mate, you never know. And your stats and insights are awesome. Sure the whole SCT community agrees on that one ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. 2071 / Cripps / 4000 n something

Only 17 players so very lucky. Did exactly what Catta suggested and missed Gawn because I VCโ€™d Mitchell – therefore Cripps was a lot of luck. Could have chosen Cogs instead I guess but thankfully went the right way.

Dropped about 140 places over the 3 bye rounds so reasonably happy with that

  14. 1990/titch/2513 overall. Sitting on top in 5/6 leagues..only one not on top is maul the salamander where Im 6th.

Got 253k, 9 trades after holman to battle this week, so looking at luxury moves or injuries only.

    Looking at…
    Heater to Lloyd or Howe
    Nank to Grundy
Cogs to J Kelly and/or Wines to Oliver
    Boak to Buddy

    Still got Robinson on bench.

  16. 2011 / Cripps / Now at 217

Overall: bad byes. Had expected them to work out as a plus, but nooooo, not even close. Only the R14 miracle of the goals and contested possessions kept things form being a total disaster. Went with Titch as VC because I expected him to go big, and prefer to have my VC be the guy I want so I have a backup. And wow did I need one, and I picked Cripps, and lucky, lucky, was I!

At least I’ll be able to face writing about Supercoach for the first time in several rounds…… Suuuuupercoach….slowly I turn…..

  17. Overall the bye rounds annoyed me, thought i was well set after round 11 ; 20 playing rd 12 ; 2 downgrades would pay for 3 up 1 down over rd 13 and 14; team nearly done . Then we had the 4 premos out in rd 12 and that changed everything.
Then rd 13 still no laird and macrae and mclean go down.
Then i realised after finishing 58k for rd12 l only dropped 240 spots to 5.2k so a lot of others copped the same and then i picked up 1000 spots over rd13 and 14 and i wondered what i was whingeing about!
    Funny game this.

  18. 1970/ Treloar/ 8726.

Cripps was incredible and I wish I’d captained him. looks like Treloar may be ok, fingers crossed

    9/9 league wins.

I moved up about 8000 places during the byes so pretty happy over all.

7 trades left and almost Full Premo with Hibberd / Doedee loopholed at D6.

Projected 2369 this week . Bring it on.
