Very happy with that result. Powell-Pepper, Otten, Hoskin-elliott, Marchbank and Taranto all delivered great scores for rookies.

Disappointed in Laird, Kennedy and Sandi, but outside of roughy and omeara hitting their straps there’s not much more room for improvement.

Shoutout to Eddy and Preuss for getting a nice 77 and 111 on my bench too!

  2. 2257-Danger

Solid enough score for Round 2.

Won my 1st League match by in a q0 Team League due to McCarthy spudding it up for my opponent , and him not locking Danger in as Captain and running with Fyfe as Captain.

Only trade i am considering this week is Strnandica to Witts.

  3. 2255 last minute change of loop hole to fyfe from danger due to eddy playing in late change. Happy overall. Very happy

Thanks preuss for taking over Goldy’s spot, hopefully won’t get a week. Thanks Often for stepping up too.

Boy oh boy do I have story
First league matchup in a 10 team league ended up winning by 2 points, was using the loophole to get Taranto 75 but then eddy was a very late in & outscored taranto by 2 points which ended up getting me the victory, cannot believe it!!!

Rookies did exactly what I thought and a few were very serviceable, need a few of my premiums to lift their game

    2211 / Dangerfield

Very solid two Rounds from the TEAM. No injuries to speak of, probably won’t have any need for correctional trades. Extremely happy with that start!

      Not great but not terrible
Looks like I got Motts by 11 though in a 10 team league match.
Feel a little guilty though as he copped a donut thanks to Goldsteins out.

Overall pretty happy, Hannebery, Simpson, Laird, Sandy all stunk it up a bit, but good to see some of the midpricers and rookies turn it on a bit.

Thought it was a decent score but there seem to be some big scores out there….

Z Jones, Parker, Steele, Shaw & Sandi were no good.
Nank, Titch, Martin, Beams, Fyfe & Danger were excellent.

Laird,Steele,JPK & Sandi hampered my score a bit, but i can’t complain with anything over 2200. Thank you Otten!

Really happy with that. Mills is the only player I’ve forked out coin for that is underperforming. Hibberd and Eddy are likely to go and I’ll be looking at all rookie options before the price jump.

    1. Only just realised that Eddy played. Glad i didn’t have him on the field to loophole WHE. Sure that will catch some people out.

Shaw, Laird, Kennedy, Steel and Sandi all flopped for me and Im stuck looking at Preuss’ 111 on my bench. Also dont have Otten, WHE or Nankervis thinking I might need a trade.

I can’t believe Sam Powell-Pepper has only played 2 AFL games. The kids an absolute gun.

Big improvement this week. The only real disappointment was Laird’s second half blackout; brought in Nankervis for NRoo and that worked well. Big shout out to Brett Eddy for getting me over the line in my only league match this week!
Will use two trades this week to fix up some rookies, probably Marchbank and WHE to come in for Smith and Mountford.

  15. absolute train wreck week 2.. 2094 and I’ve only got myself to blame.. second year player but I’m only h2h anyway.. get the bad week outa the way nice and early.. probably should think about spending the 370k cap space might behoove me..

I’ll be asking you legends on here later this week, some trade questions.. some really nice scores by the rest of you lads..

Happy with this weeks performance, a few let downs (such as laird and Shaw) but really can’t complain 🙂

  17. 2317 not that happy, wanted more!

Let down by Howe (89), J Kennedy (Syd, 89), Laird (76), Sandilands (72) amongst others

I want Clayton Oliver from Melbourne, he is a bargain.. what do people think?

      1. I won’t trade him, but debating if I do any trades this week…. Might not … Maybe trade some rookies for ones who will.make big bucks next round. but that might be dumb

  18. 2425/Kelly VC looped to Danger

Suspect that this will be a really good score given my PODs hit the high notes. Sloane Ranger, Burn Man, Titch and Josh Kelly all 118 + and nine others to raise the bat.

Laird and Sandi only real disappointments and had all top scoring rookies on the field which was nice for a change. Pretty damned happy – should make the SCT Cup cut!!

  19. 2156 Danger and I don’t quite know how I got that many!!

Jones 55, Steele 65, Simpson 57, Sandi 71, Ryder 75 all need to take a long hard look at themselves!

    Only 8 players to score in excess of 100 (P Dangerfield, J Selwood, S Pendlebury, W Hoskin-Elliot, N Fyfe, M Priddis, A Otten, J Witts)
Uncharacteristic performances from J Kennedy and K Simpson coupled with sub par performances from H Shaw, R Laird, S Burgoyne and A Sandilands.

My strategy of trade preservation by not selecting speculative picks and injury prone players (S Higgins, D Beams, T Nankervis) so far hasn’t been successful but the only positive is it’s only 2 rounds in.

  21. I’m in a different league to everyone on this site……and it ain’t higher! (Shaw, Steven (I was warned), Simpson, Laird and the list goes on) 🙁

    1. Other codes:

      – AFL Fantasy:
      2131 | Treloar (loopholed) | 6101 (Top 4.7 %)

      – RDT:
      2029 | Treloar (loopholed) | 5237 (Top 37 % – I suppose I had to do badly at one of them…)

    2. As well as I did this week, I still didn’t beat the hindsight team I posted last week (http://supercoachtalk.com/trade-talk-rd2/#comment-684016).

Although it didn’t quite reach the heights of last round (a whopping 2407), with Dangerfield as captain it still (just) outscored my real team with 2269, taking its total score to 4676, which would give it an overall rank of 48th (slightly down from 45th last week, but still pretty damn good).

Some great scores around, looks like i will drop alot a spots this round.

Had to deal with NRoo and J. Smith injuries this week and went for double rookie downgrade. Backfired when i put the dud rookies on field.

Laird, Shaw, JPK, Sandi under performed.

Now to the trade table again (last 2 for awhile hopefully)

Most premos pumping out 100s. Witts and Nank looking like a good call. Only Sandi, Laird and Steele slightly underwhelming. Will look to get WHE in this week.

Good start to the season, currently 11th in the SCT group

Climbed the rankings a bit this week, should do better next week once the Pies start winning games.

    Yep … Eddy!

Was going for the Danger into Fyfe loophole option and missed the news on Eddy as a late inclusion. Wouldn’t of made too much difference anyway as all my other players were locked in already.

Could’ve ended up with 2400+ had I had Otten on the field. Preuss’ 111 would’ve been nice too!

Sitting at around 1200 rank overall and pretty confident I can climb back up as my team is pretty solid.

  26. 2281 / Danger / 475

Pumping out that score with 384K in the bank was more than unexpected. WHE in for Reiwoldt was a lucky call; Nank, Witts, SPP are great whilst Roughy, Sandi, Laird, Shaw and Steele all struggled to help the side

Got Gawn and Marchbank in for Goldy and Simmo this week it did pay off after Marchbank’s nice score and Simmo’s crap score. Needed cash to get Gawn in

Trades this week Rough – WHE, Smith to any defender under 560k

    Studs:
    Adams
    Otten
    Danger
    Pendels
    Selwood
    Beams
    SPP
    Gawn
    Nank!
    Houston

    Duds:
    Laird
    Sandi

  28. 2,169 | Dangerfield | 23,343

Not to fussed yet, my NRoo->Tuohy trade backfired as it pushed Otten to the bench and bought on Pickett. Lost points over just benching him for the week.

Small things cost a lot in the early rounds. Hopefully my team structure is benefited from the trade in the long run though and have 156k to work some magic this week.

Jumped from 40k to 9k in Rd3 last year, so hopefully a big week is on the cards otherwise I’ll be jumping off the overall ship and into the H2H one.
