    1. Lol 2165 also. Had 2175 last week. So I think I’m happy with a seemingly stable team with a platform to work off.
Still going heeney to Lloyd though.

Not Happy, a mix of great scores and disappointing ones
Let down by: Martin, Heeney, Dunkley, Goldy, Scott on field hurt too

Heeney and Dunkley on thin ice

    Probably slip a little
Not unhappy with this score as I feel it could have been much worse.
Goldy Heeeney Martin & Coniglio &Scott all had shockers
Rescued by Libba, Lycett in particular.
Beat my score of last week so I am am going okay overall I reckon.

Ranked 9k last week, expect to drop significantly.

Plenty of 80’s and 90’s not enough big tons.

  5. 2255 for me. Dunks and Heeney only ones really below par for me. Have Scott but using him for $$$$ hopefully!

Losing patience with Heeney – Thinking Worpel maybe……or just hold lol

  6. 2235/Cripps/Should move up a little from 33,000

    STUDS:
    P. Cripps, L. Neale, B. Grundy, J. Lloyd, P. Dangerfield, C. Oliver, M. Gawn

    SPUDS:
    R. Laird (I know he was tagged but a poor score by his standards), I. Heeney

From what I’ve seen my score looks to be slightly above par, which is an improvement from last week. Could’ve scored more but a few mediocre scores and having Butters and Parker on the bench hurt me.

Also, I’m strongly considering trading Heeney either this week or the next. It’s not even a case of rage trading because of a few bad scores, he simply just doesn’t look like he’ll play midfield this year. Someone talk me out of it!

      1. Was tossing up a Kelly/Dahlhaus and a Rocky/Sheed…

But obviously rookies on the bubble go up more than higher priced players.

If I choose the right rookie, and Rocky, because Rocky will go up at 50k+, then it will set me up for both Newman and Dahlhaus as upgrades to (currently) non playing rookies in round 4 (Balta and Hore).

Or at worst, one non playing rookie and one not doing so great rookie.

So yeah, sideways trades = bad.

Subbing in 4 players in the top 8 or 10 of their positions, for 2 underperforming premiums who will lose $150k in 2 weeks, making $100k on a rookie and saving $100k on upgrades = good.

The only problem is stopping the trade addiction once it starts. 😛

    1. Current 49,444. Last week 54,784.

Mundy was one of my last in, had Kelly in that spot, but wasn’t sure about him with trade negotiations which affect a lot of players. Oh, what a difference that would have made.

Suspect the scoring updates have glitched.

Heeney, Goldy & Menegola the major let downs, and hoped for more from Setterfield too. Cost myself 30+ pts with my captain option both weeks now. Sigh.
Was ranked 40K…hope to climb a little

Only thing seperating me from the top teams over the first two weeks were my rookies on the field. Have managed to guess wrong with every rookie move. No complaints from my premos, they’re bringing the goods so far…….

  10. THE TEAM@SCT

    2280 / Cripps

I had a slight brain fade with the Captains Loophole (thought it could wait till after the Saturday night games) which cost us 11 pts but we performed admirably otherwise. Maybe the TEAM can sneak into the SCT Cup?

Massive improvement from the 1989 I got last week!

I think Yeo will be making way for Rockliff this week.

      1. Yeo was tagged by de Boar.
        23 possessions ( 12 kicks,11 handballs,15 Contested possessions)3 marks, 5 tackles and a goal.
10 clangers (7 free kicks against) hurt.
I feel your pain, I also was going to rage trade to Rocky but on reflection will keep him.

    Decisions this week
Give Martin and Heeney another go and keep all trades up my sleeve or go to Neale and Boak or Martin to Boak/ Kelly .

Having Scott on field instead of Butters cost me another 64 points.
Happy with Libba, Crisp and Boak though.

Finally!!! A decent start to a year! I can actually give the SCT cup a chance this year! I will surely make the cut!

Scott was pathetic for my team but was in many so not that bad.

Decent score considering I fielded Scott and Setterfield over Butters and Parker, plus Heeney put out a rubbish score. Aided by Oliver bouncing back.

  18. 2233/ B Grundy

Great return to form by P Dangerfield, C Oliver, Z Merrett and B Grundy and very happy with M Parker filling in for T Greene. Fielded B Scott over Z Butters which cost 64 points and a poor performance from the quartet of B Scott, T Goldstein, I Heeney, W Setterfield combining for 207 points in comparison to scoring 359 between them last week. Hopefully can manage a good score in RD3 to finally gain entry to the SCT Cup on my 3rd attempt.

Lucky to miss the carnage of Heeney and even luckier with my rookies on field (I feel like that was the clincher this round!). Was roughly 50k after the first round but stoked with a big jump.

Now time for the big decisions before prices change and cows start fattening!

Otherwise pretty happy with my teams performance.

    1. Gutted about Goldy and Scott (after bringing him on for Butters). Nature of the rookie game in the early rounds – not knowing who to field!

For me sights are set on Gawn as Goldy replacement… Gawn will drop a little in price and hopefully Goldy can string a few better games together cove minimise the exchange shortfall.

      Well done!

Unhappy with dunks and heeney and fielding Scott hurt also

    1. You’ll tend to find the coaches posting results have done better than average. It’s easier to post when you’re pumped from a good weekend. 2220 is just above average this week I reckon.

  26. 2137/Danger/4359

Was feeling great after last week – top 2000 rank w a score of 2222. A lot of bombs this week: Cogs, Goldy, Walters, Scott, Laird & Heeney.

Walters was a risk but has a high ceiling if he can get consistency. Heeney I am considering moving on and you can never tell with rookies – always pot luck from week to week (esp in the early rounds). Thankfully Collins repaid the favour of fielding him again by punching out an 86.

What are people thinking of Heeney replacements? Also, thoughts on Walters?

Goldy and Scott (didn’t loophole Butters in quick enough) stopped me going a bit higher.

Have not been this high before, now there is so much more pressure on my decisions haha

After the last 2 weeks I wouldn’t have been expecting to have the 2 highest scoring rucks in Lycett and Grundy.
Collins did well to cover Ridley
    Coniglio and Heeney disappointing.
Probably just corrective rookie trades this week in Balta and burgess

Scott for Butters the big killer and left another 30pts out there playing Petruccelle up Fwd instead of Collins as I swung Moore back. Great to see Grundy, Gawn, and Oliver back on song.

Only 1 correction trade this week Collins to Parker.

  32. Screwed up big time having dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Thought Rocky had gone big and he hadn’t and I realized I needed to put the C on Danger and not Bines. Missed it by one minute and decided to roll the dice on Darling. Got 180 should have got 308. Doh! Scored 2199.

  35. 2220/Fyfe/6613

Mixed bunch, but punting on Scott not backing up worked, and great strategy playing Collins,,, oh wait, Hore and Ridley out, can’t claim that.
Good blokes were Danger, Jack, Libba, Fyfe, Crippa, Max and old mate Lloydy.
Not such good blokes; Heeney, Goldi and the rooks Setters and Clark.
Big hope this week is for a score of stability to qualify for the Cup after sadly missing last year.

  36. 2262/Macrae/37882 (up 39510)

Most of those who did blah last week did well this week. Heeney the exception of course. Hoping next week goes well enough I can get into the SCT Cup.

Holding Balta and Collins, and while I want to trade out Heeney I suspect it is a bad idea. Can’t say I have decided 100%.

I am happy that I am having to decide between using 0 or 1 trade, and that with injury as a factor.

  37. 2341 / Grundy / 12529

Round 1 was a blowout – didn’t make any rage trades and gained a comfortable 54k spots after round 2.

Current PODs of Sloane – Gray and Crisp are serving well!

    Bring on round 3!

happy enough to take vc Grundy score over Dangers bigger score, any vc score over 125 is good enough for me, some of my bench rookies could have given me another 82 pts – really happy with Boak and Crisp POD’s, overall moving smoothly along

  39. 2188/Neale

Can anyone say doughnut? *Sigh* It’s bad when you make such a rookie error only two weeks in.
With Ridley and Hore being demoted I was left with Collins on the field and Burgess as loophole. I was hoping for a late in of Ridley or Hore (both on extended bench) to avoid having to risk Burgess. I left Ridley on field and the E on Hore (Intending on putting an E on Burgess only if the other two didn’t play), But I didn’t check my team in time…By the time I looked all my other emergencies had just started playing, maxing out and preventing me putting an E on Burgess.
Thought Owell he did terribly in the first week what’s 20 odd points, but nope he pulled his finger out and got 61 points.
Also did what everyone else did and fielded Scott instead of Butters. Also Setterfeild instead of Parker
    Little bit of maths:
    61+64+39=164 points lost!
Add to that the Heeney and Dunkley poor performances Goodbye season and Goodbye SCT Cup.
Ah well at least there’s still league wins to aim for.
    Goodluck everyone!
