I shall fall? Gravity shall take my mass and propel it quickly down the rankings. I highly doubt I’ll stay on the top 150. Lost my cash league prelim after being undefeated all year. Oh well

  2. 2171/P Cripps/ TBA (was 10159)

1st time post byes being able to play my best 22 due to J Kelly’s return relegating the Hoff to the bench but still yet to achieve a score in excess of 2400 and likely will not this season. Would usually bank a score like Gawn’s but with little to no finals of note decided to risk Cripps which is the 1st time I have ever captained him and he managed to deliver me my 1st captains score under 100 this season. 10 players over 100 with only 2 in excess of 120 with 5/12 below 80.

Decision to grab Westhoff over Dunkley in RD8 has now cost me 888 points with a round still to go and the trade of Goldy to Gawn in RD14 has now cost me roughly 140 points with 1 round remaining.

Eagerly looking forward to the NFL and BBL competitions over the SC off-season where I should comfortably achieve more success in comparison to this format.

Good luck to anyone involved in Grand Finals next week.

      1. In regards to which particular moves? Have been limited by poor cash gen and selections this season which meant trades were utilised early not allowing me to grab better bench depth or sideways in the remaining rounds. Also luck once again has played a pivotal part in regards to the trade of Goldy, selection of Andrews, Hoff over Dunkley, Daniel over Marshall, etc.

Still very pleased with what I’ve been able to muster this season considering the aforementioned situations.

        1. No, I was just trying to say that over analysis is harmful. Sometimes we must go with what we think will happen. Using our eyes and speculation. Going 100% either way doesn’t work. Also, dear namesake, I maybe not number 1. But 111 is decent enough to suggest I have some knowledge surrounding this game.

  3. 2450/Fyfe/2440 still in lock-out

Bungled C for the first time in a while and copped bum scores from Heeney, Sloane and Sicily. Those negatives were balanced out by the rest of my team firing, including PODs Cunnington and Simpson, and big efforts from Houli, Dunkley and Danger.

Through to the GF in all my leagues (thank f*ck Sicily wasn’t a POD). Still trying to crack that 2k mark, will require a monster score to finish the year.

    We’ll see…

    1. Brilliant GD … and you’ve overtaken me in the rankings!

      2330/Fyfe/now ranked 2233 (-352)

Some appalling scores but still managed to win 5/8 prelims!
The three losses were ALL to Sean’s Mob@SCT. Congrats.

I have to thank Treloar who I bought in as a POD rather than negating Bont or Sloane who all my opponents seemed to have at least one or more often the both of.

Commiseration to Cattta in SCT CONTRIBS LG. We were neck and neck for the entire GWSvWBD game with the lead changing hands in at least 4 occasions. I got up by a miserly 4pts. It could’ve gone either way.

Overall now the aim. One trade left. If Grawndy play, ZClarke via Bines to a DEF or MID depending on fixture analysis and the best loophole options.

Well done to so many in a tough week.

Good luck all who are still playing for overall or flags and cash next week 🙂

  4. 2434 / Fyfe / 211

Grand Final berths in 4/4 leagues (including LOEC2 which was super competitive) despite captaincy debacle with Fyfe.

Hoping to bump up ranking some, and pull off a few wins next week.

Had I taken Gawn VC score would’ve won rather than lost all 4 matchups. Supercoach in a nutshell! Appreciate all the input this season coaches, have a great summer legends!

shame I got kicked from finals in my main league last week as this score would of definitely put me into the grand final. But still have 2 grand final appearances to come.

No idea how that ranks seems to be around or maybe, maybe just above. Either way shouldn’t move to far. Good week one more to post my highest overall rank ever.

Am also in two GFs but finishing high in overall has been my goal

  8. 2528, Dunkley ( Yes,finally got Capt right! passed on VC Gawn)

Won 4 of my finals losing the other by 18 and I can’t blame Sicily as he had him too.
Best players Dunkley,Yeo,Worpel,Dangerfield ,Gaff and all who scored over 100.
Disapointed with Heeney,Lloyd,Cripps and the three deplorables- King Sicily,M Crouch and Robbie Gray. lol

Two trades left for GFs. I have never had trades left for GF before. Lot to ponder…looking at you Sicily, M Crouch and Robbie Gray.
Good luck to everyone who were lucky enough to make GFs and to all the others may next year be your best ever.

Think everyone besides you butchered the C this week lol.

      1. Thanks GD, I am the one who usually butchers the captain selection. I had to try something different if I was going to win and it came off. Next week is going to be tough though but I am in the finals , cracked 10000 and uniquely have 2 trades left. So got to be happy.

  9. 2388/Cripps/1199 (-26)

Made 3/5 GFs. Going Cripps instead of taking Gawn cost me 34 points and lost one of my prelims by 23.
This is by far my best year of Supercoach ever. From the heady heights of 6th overall after R7 to my current position I’m very happy. Previous highest finish of approx 15k.
My success this year has everything to do with the multitude of great advice on this site from all contributers. Thank you all.
Also got lucky with nailing some starting picks such as Boak and Neale.
I have never won a Supercoach GF so fingers crossed this year’s the year. Good luck to all still playing next week (unless you’re playing me )

Went to bed last night fairly satisfied after benching Gray to take Murphy’s 122. So you can imagine my horror this morning when I checked the final scores and saw Robbie’s 55 stinking up my forward line. Throw in a poor captaincy choice and it was another weekend to forget – only managed to make one GF in one of my lesser leagues.
All trades have now been used, so it’ll just be fingers crossed and hope my ranking is good enough for LoECs in 2020, which was my pre-season goal. All the best to everyone next week!

    1. Fantastic year Chillo. Well done.
And given your ranking, you’d have to be a shoe-in for LoECs next year.
      Good luck 😉

      1. Yep,I think this year you had to be top 2.5 K or thereabouts, judging on the SCT group rankings, are there 5 LOEC league’s. ? That’s around top 100, add 20% for those that don’t enter and I’m guessing that’ll be the cut off point. Need to top 2k to get in next year, I’ll need a miracle this week! Goes to show how well as a group we performed this year with many in the overall top 500! Excellent effort.

  13. 2329/Dunkley/2718 (down 433)
Happy with the coaching effort on the weekend, used all the guile I had in me but alas went down in 2/3 prelims. The finished product wasn’t up to it and lot’s to learn for next year. Traded Goldy after the byes , who was averaging an about 95,instead of ROB. Sliding doors moment right there, that one trade has probably cost me 500-600 points.Ranking has dropped from 330 to 2718 in that time.
The one good point from the weekend is I made the GF in SCT 3, which was one of the leading comps ranked just outside the top 100.

    1. Having a great year Nateo.
If the Crows beat the Dogs, there’ll be in the 8. That’s a huge incentive for Sloane and Crouch!?

I’m looking at a Wildcard loophole option with my last trade. Thinking Howe v ESS or Rampe v our mob, or the like. You’ll need cash for that sort of move tho’. Got any?!?

      Good luck 😉

      1. Thought this week would of been the week for Crouch and Sloane to go huge for that very reason yet failed to have any kind of impact. If Gawn misses he Becomes Goldy if he stays Sloane/Matt will become a pod 😉

  15. Won 3 out of 4 leagues…despite making my worst trading decision all year: Sat morning I traded out Hurn (thought he was undeeperforming) for D Byrne-Jones (scored 7 – now THAT’S underscoring).

Yes I know its nowhere near top 10, 100 or even 5000, but pretty happy with my first year of SC thanks mainly to the advice in here.

In the GF and still have 2 trades, one will be Gawn->Goldstein if out, the other , maybe a sideways move to ???

Williams Whitfield Lloyd Liard BrSmith Sicily (Answerth Young)
McRae Fyfe Oliver Cripps Neale Merrett BCrouch Taranto (Hind Hill Bewley)
    Grundy Gawn (Fort)
Dunkley Worpel MarshallDanger TKelly Boak (Corbett Young)

Thanks for an awesome web site
