Well below par me thinks, will lose a few spots in the ranking after that performance. Thought I was flying in the top 2500 rankings and then have to endure a round like that!!! How cruel can this game be sometimes.

TU it enough to break into the Top 1000 ?
TD Or is it only a par score?

Was ranked 609 coming into the round, very disappointed this week, will likely drop a lot of places.

2200 looks about par this week after a pretty weird round. Still have managed to lose my first two rounds in LOEC3.

Forward rooks are killing me, with Setterfield, Drew and Parker all on field every week over Burgess and Petrecelle. Will be looking to get Kelly in cheap in the next couple weeks.

  6. 2123 Grundy
Lost 9/10 league games, one by a point & another by 5 points.
Only on field rookies with a decent score this week were Scrimshaw & Duursma. Hore & Collins on bench. 9 players under 70. I fear a big fall through the rankings.
Heroes – J Lloyd, Cripps, Grundy, Neale, Heeney & Whitfield
Villains – Danger, T Kelly, M Crouch, Oliver, Z Williams

Thankfully already qualified for SCT Cup.

Not a great week, but given I had all of Kelly, Parker, and Petruccuelle on the field, it could have been a whole lot worse.

I feel like an absolute mong for holding onto Dunkley. Crisp as well has been a pain when I’m lacking a Whitfield in my team.

    1. I’m way smarter than you Jov – I traded him last week………….. to Kelly!

Probably end up ok in the long run but I nearly choked when I saw Kelly’s score.

hopefully not a bad score, considering some unusual scores from a lot of players this round.
    Guns:
    Grundy
    Cripps
    Heeney
    Rockliff
    Walsh
    Sicily:
    Not so good:
    Dangerfield
    Oliver.
Nice rookie scores (if u fielded them)
    Hore 86
    Wilkie 110
    Scrimshaw 101

    1. Definitely up. 2199 looks comfortably above-par this week, and at this time of year, even a par score can get you up in the rankings, as the midprice-madness teams that tend to do well for the first few weeks start crashing back to earth.

      1. Having said that, I only scored 27 points less than that and dropped a bit over 1000 places, so I may have spoken too soon.

Even captain cripps couldn’t save this disaster! One of my worst rounds in memory. Every bad rookie on field with Kelly, Oliver and dunkley spudding it up for icing on the cake.

Need to think long and hard on trades this week to get me back in the game! Will likely fall below 20k rank which is not ideal

  11. 2316/ Cripps
    Win 9/10 leagues
Needed this score last week to get into SCT Cup but should increase rank from 14000 mark.

Dusty to Boak instead of Kelly worked out well.

      1. Thanks All Saints
Your mate Billings helped me as well Steele . Are u still confident in Steele being top midfielder. At 3 qtr time was thinking maybe Steele to Merrett but he came home strong.
Happy to be in some strong Sct leagues and in for long haul.
I am in a few other leagues with you so will match up again soon.
Slower start then last 2 years but at least only used 1 trade so far

        1. Was thinking the same thing. But I’m gonna keep him for now. Feel like it will click soon. Am actually happy with my entire MID and RUC lines up to respective byes I think, with Constable at M8 (Libba M6 and Walsh M7).
Am likely gonna make some aggressive moves the next few weeks to gain onfield points, build bank and snaffle some rookies.

    2. He may miss next week. Didn’t look good after his calf injury in Q2. Robbie Young has an excellent first-half (all I got to see) for Sandringham and may just be a seamless replacement. Poor JS though.

First good score and first round without Dusty and Dunkley. Think there’s something in that.

So glad i got Whitfield into my side now as he’s heading to top 10 overall. Bowes, the jury is still out on that crazy move. Andrews back in form was good to see.

Feel it’s about par. Weird round and some strange scores (both ways). Wrong rookies on the field and a regrettable non-trade coating me a lot.
Lost 2 League games, but won 8; 7 of them by less than 50pts.
Thanks Catta, TDA and Ben for the points in tight contests 😉

    1. Well Done All Saints!

Only 41pts but you always looked on top after Butters delivered a 23.
Look forward to our rematch later in the year in Looney Mooney’s and the SCT Contributor’s League, hopefully, when we are at full strength.

  15. 2124/Cripps/ was 3259 – post may hold as the score seems middle of the road
started the Sunday mini stretch thinking I wouldn’t make 1900 but thanks to a Crippa, Billings and Walsh super effort and a semi solid 160 ish by Collins and Potatofield, got me to where I can’t complain.

Congrats to the folks who had high 22’s and 2300s – great effort in a week like this.

  16. 2267/Grundy/ Am 12k-ish in the rankings before this week, after being ranked 88,000ish after round 1…..

Hopefully move up the ranks again.

Haven’t used any trades yet. Looked at my disastrous round 1 result and still thought my team was ok so stuck with the lads I had who have redeemed themselves since then….

Not sure I will need to trade this week but geez the rookies are disastrous and I can’t nail the onfield ones to save myself. Scrimshaw on the pine this week…

  17. 2104/Grundy/36k

Actually happy in the end after being 1620/18. Cripps, Walsh, Scrimshaw and Collins finished off a very ugly round in good fashion.
Villains: too many to name.. half my on field team scored 73 or less.

In good news. The Tigers are Back!!

  18. 2264 (Cripps) most rookies struggled and I had Scrimshaw on the bench. Kept Fyfe (hoping that is the right call) and had to take Atkins score instead. Hope he is back and scoring well next week. Happy with Rocky who proved he was over concussion.

One of my better scores this time if the year.

    Is Billings a keeper?
Will Fyfe be back (and cop the De Boer tag)?
Which rookies do I field next round?

    1. Possibly. If you already have him yes. For those that don’t, I’d just be wary of Steven’s imminent return and possible impact on set-up. Gresham fans/owners should be particularly concerned as he’s playing Stevo’s role a significant % of game time.
For what it’s worth, I also think his return will help Steele!

  26. 2214/Cripps/was 25k-ish

Solid effort considering there were several pox scores in there.
Carrying the team this week were Cripps, Zerrett, Whitfield & Heeney. Special mention to Libba & R Marshall who were traded in this week & were excellent value. Butters & Parker were spudtacular even for rookies and Danger, Menegola & Z Williams were dead weight for the more established players. Oliver testing my patience also….possibly the biggest regret so far in starting him over Neale.

  27. 2210/Grundy/ 15500 (was 21,907)

Good performances from T Atkins filling in for Fyfe as well as 9 players going over 100 (L Whitfield, S Walsh, B Grundy, I Heeney, B Smith, R Laird, T Goldstein, L Neale and Z Merrett). Poor performance from the trio of P Dangerfield, Z Williams and Z Butters combining for 149 but apart from that quite happy with my current side.

    1. Great score Pop’s Daughter.

      What a fantastic early rank.

Don’t feel like you have to trade just yet. If you have no real problems, read Cow Talk ( out wednesday ), make sure you get the best out of your rookies and you will be fine.

Pop really would be proud 🙂

8/10 league wins is pretty good, and pretty happy with a weekly rank withing the top 7k.

Spuds: Dunkley, Oliver, Crouch, Danger, Williams and my FWD rookies.
Oliver and Dunkley have started the season off poorly, especially Dunkley. Unsure whether i should back Dunkley or will he turn out to be Billings from last year? Only made the 1 trade and it was a bold one that payed off this week but still a season to see if it was worth going Fyfe to Zerrett.

Studs: Cripps, Grundy, Zerrett, Neale, Whitfield, Heeney, Walsh, Scrimshaw and Hore.
Great to see all these premiums going big, hoping they keep it reasonable and not be a flash in the pan and fall into the 90’s. Great to see Scrimshaw put in a decent performance as this should really boost his price. Hoping i can keep up a great season as i haven’t had this great of a start before

  32. 2178-Macrae. 6793. (3 weeks out of 4, been in this position while everyone is jumping over or falling back) so a pretty consistent season so far.
Not sure where to go from here lol. Cash generation is going to become difficult.
Almost thinking of trading in mid pricers as keepers just to replace the rookies.
I’m only missing Whitfield, Kelly and fyfe as the +600k guys.

    1. How frustrating is it ….. I had 9 under 70! Including Jones’s 9 on field.

Having Cripps as captain totally saved me from a horror show. 2134 surely isn’t unreal but considering the above, I see it as bullet dodged.

      Onward and upward.

  36. 2179 thanks to capt Cripps. Special thanks to c Bines who is having a great year… Cant use him this week though. Went Dusty to T Kelly over zerrett…and I’m a bombers fan!! Wanted the Kelly dpp for later.

  37. 2212 / Cripps / 17321 up 7512

All the usual suspects. Oliver, M Crouch and Dunkely not so good, Cripps good. Still have not traded, which is sort of bad since I could have maybe improved somewhere, but no clear moves I liked. But, still have trades to use.

I’m gonna have to run the Cow Talk numbers this week, because I need them! If I do then I am sure others do too!

  38. 2090/Grundy/30k

Horror year continuing to happen so many let down premiums and rookies yet again another week it’s hurting starting Oliver Neale but can’t do much about it now.

    Studs:
    Hurn
    B.Smith
    Crippa
    Walshy
    Grundy
    Gawn

    Duds:
    Williams
Nateo ( Fieled Clark over Scrimshaw)
    Oliver
    Crouch Bros
    Butters
    Danger
    Kelly
    Parker

Not sure on trades this week but spud rookies gotta go!
