  1. 2211/Gawn

Was ranked 4500ish think I’ll make up a bit of ground on leaders as that seems to be above par this round

Danger, Libba & Heeney the disappointments but cant complain to much

  2. 2217/Gawn/3136th

Only real disappointments came from Libba and Danger. Dunkley finally delivered, thank god.

  3. 2057/Cripps was 7500, hopefully not going to far backwards. 500k in the bank so double upgrade time this week!

  4. 2174/Cripps/14593 still in lockout

Wrapped that Darling and Williams popped off. Absorbed abysmal scores from Heeney, Danger and mistakenly fielding Gibbons over Atkins- against the sage advice of FT.

Will I go up (T.U) or down (T.D) in the rankings?

    1. HOT DAMN! You guys are right, I went up 6870 places!

Now sitting 7723. I’ll take it!

Shocker. Messed up my trades and possibly my season.
Heroes: Dunkley! ZWilliams, O’Brien (on the bench)
Villains: New recruit Sicily, Liberatore, Heeney, Dangerfield

Liberatore and Butters out this week, not sure who for yet. Have to wait for the headache to go down a bit first.

    1. Hey Chillo
Sicily will still be good long term and Hayes will still generate cash for you.
2102 will still be above par score so hopefully you don’t drop too much .
Butters and Liberatore both disappointing this week but hindsight a wonderful thing.

      1. Yeah mate, just a bit frustrating when I was banging on avoiding the Dogs all week, and then decided to keep Libba “for one more week”. Getting him to Kelly is going to cost me $50K more than it would’ve last week, plus all the lost points. Ahh Supercoach, you’re a cruel beast.

Dropped 17 spots to 74. My ranks for the past four weeks are 57, 74, 57, 74, so I guess I’ll move up the rankings again next week????

In the fetal. Worst score in long long loooong time.

Was 2500 overall 2 weeks ago.

Nothing a few single malts can’t fix I guess.

    1. Damn. I remember you posting 2400~ a couple of weeks ago, Dihi!

Not a complete fall from grace through, you’ll still be right up there and can chip away over the remainder of the season.

and whitfield injured on the bench.
    Learning a lot at least.

Another terrible round, 2 on the trot now. Will see how far I slip this week.

On the positive I’ve made mostly correct decisions on rookies and I think I have my bye structure sorted.

If I can build a decent war chest and get a bit lucky again hopefully I can make the ground up again…

Have brought in Fyfe, T. Kelly & Sicily in the last 2 weeks…haven’t cracked 2100 since. I’m beginning to question the point of upgrading. Also, finding it very difficult to pick a good VC & C this season.

What else do you say , pissed right off, captains pick stuffs everything, everything.

I took a major risk of trading out Goldy (who I had planned to upgrade to Grundy during the byes anyway) and moving R. O’Brien (123) from the ruck bench onto the field. This saved me 400K and allowed me to upgrade a rookie to T. Kelly (120).

I also decided to hold Darling (132) as I figured (hoped) he could get out of his form slump against GC.

Only disappointments this week were Danger, Heeney and Collins (who will be traded out this week).

My cash league is quite competitive (ranked around the top #500 of leagues) and the average scores this week are 2,000-2,150. Nobody else in my league scored over 2,200.

Made same trades of Goldstein to T Kelly and my wife held Darling also which was a bit of a break.

A few underperforming premos and Clark and Petrucelle but the score feels par if not just above. Not too disappointed but still gotta get these rookies off field!

  14. 2137/gawn/ was 6600ish

Butters killed my week with the 30 as well as danger and Heeney, traded Atkins to Hayes which should of been butters to Hayes, at least I can upgrade butters this week with 350k in bank

Hopefully Whitfield back next week. Had to play Clark this week which really sucked

Ahhh everyone loves Sunday for SC, it usually kills off a massive score every week.. Somewhat happy with the score as it looks par due to many being blessed or ruined this week and then having Whitfield benched.

Studs: Dunkley, Gawn, Lockhart, Williams and Hore, plus some benched rookies.
Dunkley finally getting more time on ball and rewarding my faith in him. Williams doing great without Whitfield but I hope his scoring isn’t related to that.

Spuds: Crouch Zerrett Heeney Laird and Oliver.
Most of these players are getting the ball but are just so ineffective with it costing themselves so many points. Heeney with another horrible week with buddy out hurts. Many of the rookies were average and looks like they will be leaving the team this week.
Oh and how could I forget Danger! Everyone has him so means little but it is really frustrating.

    1. Up to 4021 in the rankings and after completley forgetting about it, I think I made the comeback in the SCT Cup! I was down by 23 and my opponent scored 2053. Its a small win but it’s something.

Then checking my Tech team it scored 2295 finishing 45th for the week!!! I am thrilled! That is my best ever score in the rankings

  17. 2097/Gawn VC’d

Studs over 110 were Max, Crippa, Goldi, Williams, Fyfe, Kelly and Sloane Dog. Unfortunately they were let down by a bunch of inadequate rookie scores and some seriously under in the form of Danger, Heeney, Libba and Billings.

Still won 6/8 and lost one by a single point (PBuzz, you should have stayed at tennis this weekend LoL)

  18. 2098/ Cripps/ was 7880
Good considering could have been a lot worse.
Cripps was in single digits at qtr time.
Traded in T Kelly by trading Goldstein and placing rob on field gave me additional 9 points. Happy with that outcome.
Held on to Whitfield which gave me j Clark’s score but happy I kept Whitfield long term despite initially trading for Fyfe and reversing.
Besides underscoring premiums that everyone has biggest disappointment were
Premiums who are just hovering around 100 or below – M Crouch, Oliver, Steele, Billings.
5 dnp limited bench options with Lockhart a pleasant surprise but on bench

Won 7/10 leagues and 5 less then 20 points.

    Big trade decisions this week.
Have funds to get premium mid or defender for Clarke, Butters however will monitor Answerth and Hately this week.
    If both named ?????

Have a great week and hope to see a few scters at Free Tennis tomorrow; that includes you Tom:)

I’m ranked 17k, will make up some ground but still have work to do. Brought in crisp and Hayes this week. Fielded darling every week this season- this score does make me happy however he didn’t hit his BE! could of fielded Atkins over gibbons. Besides that fairly solid week considering the poor scores

Too many dud premo’s to mention

  21. 2148 / Cripps/ IDK

Focusing on Leagues rather than overall results so I’m pretty happy, undefeated and top of all 3.

Williams, Stack, Gawn, Kelly, Cripps, Fyfe all starred

Danger, Heeney, Oliver were the disappointments.

Only trade I’m locked in for is Butters to Hately. Although another might have to happen depending on Danger’s knee

  22. 1975 / Gawn
Pretty terrible, but it was a double downgrade week for me, to build the warchest.

Slightly better news in the Tech league:
    2242 / Gawn
Took the C off Gaff after Gawn posted his 127. Not a move I regret in any sensible moments, but the ‘what if’s will always get ya…

  23. 2047/ L Neale/ 24281 (from 25987)

Fielded M Gibbons and new recruit W Hayes over T Atkins as well as having to field J Clark over L Whitfield. 1st week with a captain under 125 due to VC Grundy not scoring sufficient and leaning towards L Neale instead of N Fyfe. Have 290,000 remaining so likely 1 of J Macrae/J Westhoff will be selected with 1 of M Gibbons/J Clark leaving for 1 of J Hately/ N Answerth. Disappointed that Darling finally delivered after trading him for T Kelly but fairly confident that T Kelly will outscore him from here on out.

  24. 2182/Gawn/6!! (up from 16)

Can’t believe I moved up with that score but it looks like the carnage was widespread.
    9 @ 100+ and 6 below 80.
Studs – Williams, Gawn, Cripps, Kelly and Stack
Duds – Danger, Libba, Heeney,B Crouch
Still leading the SCT group and it looks like I’m still in the SCT Cup.
    Roll on round 8.

Hey Stewy, well done. Top 10 ranking at any stage of the season is an awesome effort. I have moved into 2nd just behind you in the SCT Group. Lets hope our luck continues and we can fight it out.

  25. 2198 / Danger! (SCT Tech League)
VC on Gawn but left it too late to Captain Bines, so rolled the dice and picked Dangerfield!
Managed 7th overall for the week in this group, last 2 weeks have had a weekly group ranking of 2nd and 3rd overall… before that was almost last, have moved to 22nd.

Highest ranking I’ve ever had and can’t wait to bring in Fyfe. Oliver is killing me whilst Dunkley finally rewarded me.

  27. 1980 / Danger / too crap to mention

Taking the chance of Danger as Captain backfired, but needed to take that chance as wasn’t going to win any matches following the pack with Cripps. If only I’d decided on Gawn as VC instead of Grundy. Dropped a further 5000 points this week, & out of the SCT Cup. Disappointing weekend. At least my two trade ins worked out – C Daniel & Answerth. Will re-group for next week, hopefully.

Happy with the rank too, slowly climbing.

  30. 2081 / Gawn / 7770 up 632.

    7/10 league wins.

Not too bad with Whitfield on the bench.

Could of been a whole lot worse really.

  31. 2,177 / Cripps / 5,948 (up 5855)

I clearly benefited from people who had bad luck with captains. Zac W and Dunkley did well, although Libba and Heeney did not. Baker is making me happy. Mostly the guys who had bad weeks were highly owned, and the ones who did well are less highly owned. Some of them people have even traded out.

I came very close to not trading Atkins to Hayes. Still not sure if it was right, but I followed my own rules, which I made for a reason. One being not wasting downgrade targets, and the other being not to make changes to my plans late at night. Of course my not having yet pulled the trigger when it had gotten to be late at night was a sign I was wavering. Now I just hope Bevo keeping Hayes playing. Seemed to do ok this week!
