Swallow and Harris for me … will be very interesting to see how they go. They could rack up 100pts a piece or 80pts total!!
I’m thinking 3.
Either Stanley or Toy in for Otten.
Maybe Swallow or Harris.
And Matera for Knights.
Stanley, Harris, Swallow, Smith, Matera.
I’ve gone one at the moment – Swallow – but if Selwood gets ruled out then in comes Harris. With Petrie coming back, I can’t find room for Matera. And I’ll give Duigan another crack while (E)’ing Stanley.

Matera would be the only other one i’d consider (of my 6) but i’m happy playing Darling ahead of him for this week. Will reassess after we see what Matera has to offer.
You stole my thunder. My comment was waiting for moderation lol
Is Smith going to get a game this week?
For how long, Cam? :D.
Thanks to both of you for being on the ball 🙂
No sweat, 44DD’s
I commented at 7:59pm lol it’s all good
i’ve got 4 Suns, but will probably only play Toy (in place of Otten) in the first 22. matera, smith and swallow on the bench though.
Maybe Swallow for libratore, not sure though yet….
Play toy or Stanley???
Thumbs up for toy
Thumbs down for Stanley
What do u think???
Swallow and Harris for me with Coad/Stanley maybe Def E over Pederson. Don’t have Matera ’cause he’ll find it hard to win the pill when its down the other end.
Swallow for Libba and Coad for Otten.
yeap going for 3X goldcoast players if picked for round 2 ..stanley ,harris and matera ..due to poor form for round 1 , yarran and buckley warming the pine and still not sure who to kick out of the backline ..
Second thoughts I might play them all given the opposition.
Motts
How about a poll on which rookies we think will make the GCS 22. Obviously Swallow/Harris are montys so the liost could look something like this:
Coad
Toy
Tape
Stanley
Hutchins
Bennell
Iles
Lock
Caddy
Smith
Gorringe
Matera
Dixon
Prestia
Day
Patrick
Of those 16, about 8-10 should play.
Hey hey hey!! Juddy’s 200th on Sat nite. The boys love a milestone game.
No Hunt? Bluey virtually guaranteed him a game yesterday.
good idea deano
I’ve therefore counted him in the certainties along with:
Harris
Swallow
Ablett
Bock
Brennan
Brown
Fraser
Harbrow
Krakouer
Rischitelli
Jeez – you analyse it like that and it highlights the predicament Bluey is in. That’s a very thin looking lineup. Lucky he played for the equal most successfull team (along with Brissy) in the history of the AFL when it comes to Premieships.
juddy,s due for a injury ….hehehe
God I’m tempted to put the big C on my boy (treachery aside) this week. I just think the outside seagulls (are there any of them at the Blues?) will tear it up against that opposition.
Most likely will start Stanley for Otten this week.
Swallow and Harris are fighting with Conca, Libba and Bewick for two spots and, despite the performance of the three who played last week, I don’t think that I can overlook the Suns boys.
Matera is up against Petrie, Darling and Richardson for the two spots with Knights on a bye, so he may make it.
Overall, at least two, likely three, small chance of four
currently got the C on Goddard vs the Tiges but Gibbs vs GC17 could be a good choice too
Brisbane flags don’t count due to them cheating.
At this stage, it’s only D.Swallow in the team. We’ll see what happens on the training track and @ selection.
Gibbs is a chance at being my captain this week I predict 35+ possies 2 goals and 150+ supercoach points
Stanley in for Otten/McKernan.
Swallow in for Selwood (if nec).
Two to choose from Petrie, Varcoe, Matera, Darling and Richardson. Any thoughts?
Best to wait for the team list before making final decisions.
Question for you Motts…
Swallow or Harris for the last spot on the field?
I’m a big fan of Swallow (pardon the pun) but are teams going to look at Ablett the same way as Swan and not tag him. Swallow did struggle a little when he got some close attention and this may sway teams to tag him knowing its much more likely to be successful then going after Ablett.
While this goes on Harris is free to roam around getting plenty of it???
Let’s hope Swallow doesn’t Choke.
*shakes head in disgust*
badoom…cha!
the usual 2, Harris and Swallow.
What odds Judd scores 150pt this week?
So far I have just got Swallow playing this week and Prestia as an Emergency. Explanation of tactics as follows:
FWDs:
* Tapscott onto the ground, was an E last week, benched Gamble.
* I’ve swapped Prestia from my mids bench to my fwd bench as an (*E).
* This is in exchange for Pavlich (moved from fwd line to midfield possie).
* Knights-bye also benched for Richardson (is this a stupid move- they are playing Collingwood, will he get smashed?)
Mids:
* Moved Sylvia to my FWD line, for I. Smith, then moved Smith to the bench (Sylvia playing of course- in Pav’s old spot)
* Ed Barlow (possible trade pending) on the bench for Swallow to get a run.
* Kept Conca as an E (Vs. Saints- have a feeling he could get a run on Milne, though Milne usually plays well against the tiges as has the experience. Therefore sticking to him as an E at this stage.)
Backs:
* Brought Lower on for Otten-bye. Just worry about having 2 Freo backmen on. They are playing at home but it’s against Geelong. ARGH!
* Listed Robbie Tarrant as an (*E) but not sure whether to have him (Vs. Collingwood) or Duigan as my 7th Back… Duigan at the moment.
Opinions much appreciated! 🙂
considering trading Barlow for:
* Liberatore and would have some spare $$ up my sleeve (same team)
* Andrew Gaff from WCE (would only leave me $200, lol)
* Curnow looks a tasty option but I have enough Carlton players.
Any other ideas??
All those moves look fair and reasonable to me, gg. Lets just wait for the teams to come out now. The best laid plans of mice and gimmeguitars can be laid waste by one selection broadside from a coach.
yes, just trying to think it all out logically before the teams… very busy next couple of days! Won’t be able to do trades on Fri I don’t think (working on School fete all day)
Only Fraser will ruck ahead of him.
Apparently not good enough Scatts! Oh well, we’ll find out with the teams tomorrow.
