  2. Jolly and Tippett out for Seaby and JB. Not fussed about making trades between Rounds 2 & 3. And I’ve got heaps in the bank to upgrade Seaby to Sandi when the time is right

  6. Shady: You’ve really got it in for the Mountain of Brown haven’t you?

I traded Andrew Moore for Matt Maguire and Josh Hunt for Malceski. In DT though, instead of Hunt-Malceski I did a Pods -> Petersen trade. I’m into SC more than DT and not 100% convinced with Pods. Tried out at many different clubs and never made it, not even at the Dogs where we were SCREAMING for a forward, any forward.

  7. the only reason u should of traded this week is if the person that your playing in round 4 is averaging higher then u other then that i think it is a waste then later on u can make trades if u think your team isnt scoring enough

  9. With Ottens out I was thinking of making big Sandi captain this week, I reckon he’ll murder blake, or should I stick with GAJ?

  10. Two trades this week, first before the start of the season wasn’t sure if Goddard could maintain his form from last year, you proved me wrong Goddy, so his in for Mitchell. Mitchell had 30 posses on monday and the lazy prick didn’t put on one tackle, that’s weak in my book so your out.
Second trade, people talked me out of putting this guy in at the start of the season, but champions always delivery enter Adam Cooney, had not a bad game vs the pies, but showed me that he is over his injury with a BOG against the tiges, He replaces Luke No Balls everyone was raving about his form in the NAB and how he’ll get more game time at the pies, well that doesn’t help if you can’t kick a ball more than 5 effing meters, can’t kick, can’t mark your out.

    1. hey hey hey Slim, take it easy on the Blues. They only lost it in the 4th quarter. I wouldn’t describe that as “terrible”.

      1. slim meant terrible defence the best defender went to fev and now that he has been under performing and jono has been performing the best defender will go to jono u wait and see motts

I’m still weighing up the Tippy>JB trade but slim has a point – things may have been different if Bower had played and both games have been at the Gabba. Neither WC nor the Blues seemed to attempt a zoning off/third man up strategy. I know you’ve already decided but I’m not yet convinced – got 2 hrs!

    2. I got Brown in for one reason: his price is about to go up which means next week I should be able to trade him for Riewoldt who will maintain close to his average all year!!!

        1. No its not a waste of 2 trades as I didnt trade any1 after round 1 and my starting forward was Medhurst, have now upgraded him for Brown(at the cost(gain) of R.Shaw for Malceski and next week I get Riewoldt. The rest of my team is superb, only the forwards were letting me down. So now in 3 trades I have effectively improved my defence (shaw for malceski) and swapped Medhurst for Riewoldt.

      1. sorry to say Chino, but your going nowhere fast if your thinking of using Brown as a cash cow. That is what your saying, right?

        0
        1. I see it as a stepping stone to trading Medhurst for Riewoldt at the expense of an extra trade. As simply trading R shaw for Malceski didnt quite give me the cash I needed to bring ROO in. Plus I get Browns points this week instead of Medhursts

          1. This will be my team next week after i have used 3 trades and dont plan on any more barring injuries:

            GODDARD/ H. SHAW /L. HODGE
            H.OBRIEN/ N.MALCESKI /T.KENNELLY (MAGUIRE,SILVAGNI)

            ABLETT/ j.SELWOOD/ MITCHELL
            GIBBS/ COONEY /BARLOW (D.MARTIN, B.HOWLETT)

            D.HILLE /NATANUI /(WARNOCK, GRIMLEY)

            RIEWOLDT /HARVEY/HIGGINS
JA.ROUGHEAD/ HALL/ DANGERFIELD GUMBLETON (PODS, ROBERTS)

          2. Probably worth considering holding off on the Roo trade for a few extra weeks chino (luckily it happened this week – first SC rule never trade a premium)

    3. Jonathan Brown is a GUN!!! that’s why people are getting him….look at his averages over the last few years… he is a keeper who will score consistently throughout the year…

it doesnt matter who his opposition is, he racks up the numbers against anyone!!

      1. I wasn’t sure about Gram as in the last two games though he got about an average of 20 disposals he only averaged about 81 compared to Maguire’s 87 [And Im thinking he’ll get less as they’re vs;ing collingwood]. I’ll most likely go with Gram, whenever I think about this too much i always make the wrong decision

    1. It’s a good point. And will the lack of a quality ruck affect GAJ’s ability to get his hands on the ball from stoppages?

      1. Relax Max. I’ve still got GAJ as Captain. There’s no harm in discussing these things though . . . Isn’t that what this awesome site is about?

        1. Sorry I just think it is a no brainer that if u have GAJ in your team he should be captain, remeber last year when he scored 254 points! that could happen again at any stage this year no matter who is in the ruck for him

          0

          0
          1. The reason to question it for me is Geelong’s short week after a tough game and a trip to perth, plus GAJ was under an injury cloud going into last week. But you pick someone else as captain at your own peril.

Maybe you should apply for a possy on the Bombers match committee – Knighter may need some measured, positive perspective on selection considerations?

    1. Maybe he just had an off week? He scored 160’s the last few weeks anyways it was bound to happen. I reckon it would just be a waste of a trade
