Adelaide: 

Patrick Parnell (corked thigh) test “He’s pulled up pretty sore and he’ll be assessed, we’re fortunate that we have the extra week before he has to play.”
Fischer McAsey (leg) test. Fischer McAsey did not play in the SANFL game against Sturt on Saturday night due to a leg complaint and will be re-assessed after the break.
Josh Rachele (corked thigh) test. “Josh’s corked thigh has almost resolved, as we know he’s a first-year player who has been battling a few different issues but we are confident he’ll be able to train this week and next week and be available for the next game,”High Performance Manager Darren Burgess
Jordon Butts (concussion protocol)  is on track to return from the concussion protocol in Round 14

Luke Brown and Andrew McPherson both missed last week due to health and safety protocol but have resumed training and are expected to be available to take on the Suns.

Collingwood:

Jamie Elliott (Illness) Expected to available this weekend.

Reef McInnes (shoulder) Season. Will undergo a shoulder reconstruction later this week after consulting a surgeon.

Brody Mihocek (knee knock) Scans have cleared him of any structural damage and will be on light duties until the end of the week. High Performance Manager Jarrod Wade is hopeful he will fully train over the weekend and be available for selection.

Ash Johnson has been ticked off to play VFL on limited minutes on Sunday. Wade expects Johnson to play three quarters.

Charlie Dean edges closer to full training after completing a modified load last week. He is likely to play after the bye round. (2 weeks)

Jack Madgen (shoulder) 3 weeks is in a high strength phase and will begin falling to test the shoulder out.

Brodie Grundy (knee)  (4 weeks) is hitting personal bests in the gym (bench press and overhead press) while completing an upper body strength program. Grundy is now out of the knee brace and may begin running later this week.

Nathan Kreuger Season. has a week remaining in the sling after shoulder surgery and has a review with the surgeon in a fortnight.

Tom Wilson (back) After having back surgery a number of weeks ago has return to the club and is able to complete low level rehabilitation.

Essendon :

Andrew McGrath (Groin) Test. Head of high performance Sean Murphy said McGrath was giving himself every possibility to ensure he is fit and available, with a clearer selection picture to appear after Wednesday’s main session.

Jake Stringer (hamstring) 

“’String’s’ at the back of his rehab now,” Head of high performance Sean Murphy said.

“He’s ticked off some good sessions over the last few weeks. Over the bye, he had a couple of solid sessions so he’s ready to go.

“He’ll train fully at Wednesday’s main training, and he’ll be up for selection this weekend.”

Matt Guelfi (hamstring)   Guelfi will train fully this week and be available for selection barring any hiccups.

Michael Frederick – as been suspended for 1 week by the club after he consumed alcohol following the Dockers’ win over Brisbane on Sunday.

Geelong: 

Brandan Parfitt (broken hand) TBC:

“Brandan Parfitt sustained a broken hand during the match on Friday night,”  head of medical and conditioning services Harry Taylor said.

“After assessment and consultation, Brandan will have surgery on his hand in the coming days to ensure the best recovery for him – short and long term.

“Brandan’s status will be assessed post-surgery, however it is expected he will be unavailable for the short to medium term.”

Sam Menegola – “Sam Menegola played the VFL game v the Western Bulldogs and will continue his reconditioning program as specified by our Medical and Conditioning team,” Taylor says.

Tom Stewart (concussion) “Tom Stewart left the game under the concussion protocols in the 2nd quarter and will enter the mandatory AFL concussion guidelines,”

Gold Coast:

Lachie Weller (knee) Scans have confirmed that he has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will miss the rest of the 2022 season.

“It’s really unfortunate news for Lachie,” Gold Coast football manager Wayne Campbell said.

“Lachie will now meet with a surgeon later in the week before having an operation to repair the ligament.”

Levi Casboult (calf) is expected to be available for the Suns against Adelaide in round 14.

GWS: 

Callan Ward (concussion) Test. Is to go through the final stages of the concussion protocols after being subbed out of the round 11 match against the Lions.

Lachie Whitfield (ankle) Test. Has been managing an ongoing ankle injury but is expected to train fully on Friday and put his hand up for selection.

Phil Davis (hamstring) 1 week. Is nearing a return from his long-term hamstring injury after returning to full training on the weekend.

Tim Taranto (back) 1-3 weeks. Has resumed running and could return as early as next week.

Jacob Hopper (knee) 2-3 weeks. Will consult a knee specialist this week to clear him to return to full training as he nears a return from back-to-back knee injuries.

Brent Daniels (hamstring) 4 weeks. Is continuing rehab

Leek Aleer (calf) 4-5 weeks. Injured his calf in the last VFL match and will miss the next 4-5 weeks.

Conor Stone (hamstring) 4-6 weeks. Is continuing rehab

Jack Buckley (knee) 4-6 weeks. Is continuing his rehab from his long-term ACL injury and expected to return in the final rounds of the season.

Daniel Lloyd (arm) TBC. Will consult a specialist in two weeks as he continues his rehab from a fractured arm with a timeline on his return to be provided following the appointment.

Finn Callaghan (foot) is also managing a flare up of an ongoing foot injury and will consult further specialists in Melbourne this week. He’ll be sidelined for at least a month with a further timeline to be provided following the appointment.

Bobby Hill (Testicular cancer) Indefinite.  has undergone successful surgery after being diagnosed with testicular cancer. The 22-year-old will undergo further assessment in the following weeks and will be sidelined indefinitely.

Jack Gunston (ankle) – 2 weeks. The club will continue to assess him throughout this week after scans revealed some impingement on the outside of his ankle. The injury is not related to his previous ankle injury.

Ned Long  (hamstring) – 2 weeks

Steven May (suspension) 1 week. May’s ban came after he consumed alcohol while under the concussion protocols.

Harry Petty (Shoulder) Test. scans revealed a low-grade AC joint sprain. He will look to train with the group later in the week and aim to be available.

Fraser Rosman (Hamstring)  1 Week. Despite increasing his training loads this week, he will likely sit out one more game.

Joel Smith (Ankle)  4-6 Weeks

Blake Howes (Foot) 5-7 Weeks

Tom McDonald (Foot)  TBC Scans revealed a low-grade Lisfranc injury. After consulting with multiple surgeons, the club has decided the best course of action is for McDonald to have a small plate inserted across the joint in his foot. Later part of season to return.

North Melbourne :

Sam Skinner has cleared the AFL’s concussion protocols and is again available for selection

Orazio Fantasia – quad (3-4 weeks) has resumed running

Scott Lycett – shoulder (5-6 weeks) rehabilitation following shoulder surgery is progressing well and has increased his running load and work in the gym.

Trent McKenzie – knee (assess)

Josh Sinn – groin (8-10 weeks) has resumed running
