  1. Whitfield estimated “2 – 3 weeks”.

Worth considering a hold or is 2 – 3 too generous an estimate?

    1. Yes is worth consideration. Initially I was going to hold but traded to H Andrews to free up cash to help allow future trades.

Precedence by players in the competition over the past 1-2 years suffering the same or similar injury is between the 2 to 4 week period.

Unsure on the severity as the initial diagnosis at the time of occurrence was a stinger and he was rested for the remainder of the match as a precautionary measure as it was nonsensical to allow him to return to the field.

Also was mentioned on the GWS website in 1 of the articles that the doctor struggled to get a read/diagnose as it wasn’t a traditional clavicle and was in a weird spot.

Surprised last week with everyone insinuating or suggesting that it would 6-8 weeks. Whilst they’ve displayed a tendency to be conservative and patient with injuries in recent time I’d assume it’s more likely he returns between the RD15-Rd17 period rather than the Rd18-20 others were suggesting.

  2. Giving some thought to keeping one of Lockhart or Answerth so I can use Duursma as a D7/M9.

Lockhart currently out of the Dees team but was BOG for Casey on the weekend. Answerth currently in Lions team but I see above that Bailey is only one week away.

Which one should I trade this week?

    TU – Lockhart
    TD – Answerth
    Comment – trade both

    1. Definitely Answerth as he likely won’t make more than $12k now before Rd17. There are better options if you didn’t go early.

Both, if you need the numbers onfield this week and again you can replace one of them with a genuine premo who had the R12 bye, or have another playing rookie option and build your bank for a double upgrade next week.

      Good luck

      1. Thanks AS. But looks like I’ll need to do both now with the news about Stocker. Only way I’ll be able to field 18.

      2. G’day all. First timer on here. Great site!

Don’t think it’s that cut and dried, personally. Both averaging the same, Lockhart BE 71, Answerth 37.
You’re relying on Lockhart to get named and Answerth to get dropped. Bird in the hand (player already in the side)?

        1. I hear you DD, but if there’s a rookie available with decent JS, eg Bewley, then there’ll likely make more money in a week than Answerth will in a month.
Cash generation remains a critical aspect when it comes to covering injured premos later on in the piece.

          1. Yeah understand that, just comparing them if only trading one, as I am. Got to punt Clark and want to keep one of Answerth and Lockhart to DPP with Duursma.

  3. If Carlisle is back playing VFL for Sandringham this week (likely) then that’s great news for the Saints second half of the season. Jack Steven was at training this week too.
Not SC-relevant, but had to share 😉
