Early prognosis

Jenkins is expected to miss up to six weeks after hyperextending his knee in the Crows’ round 13 win against Richmond at Adelaide Oval. Jenkins sustained a lateral ligament and capsular injury with bone bruising. Talia, Kelly and Murphy aren’t expected to miss any football and will be available for the Crows’ next game – their round 15 clash with Geelong. Lynch is also on track to return to face the Cats after missing the past two games with a calf strain. – Lee Gaskin

Grundy almost missed the Queen’s Birthday clash with Melbourne but should be fine to face the Western Bulldogs after the Pies’ round 13 bye, but Adams and Elliott aren’t yet ready to return. Wills has been sidelined with a calf problem, but Appleby is ready to resume in the VFL and he will be joined by mid-season draftee Noble, who will make his first appearance for the club. A timeframe on Langdon is expected to become clearer in coming weeks. Murphy‘s recovery has been slow and Kelly will also spend a considerable time on the sidelines. Beams and Wells face a race against time to return before season’s end, but the campaign seems over for fellow veteran Dunn after a second anterior cruciate ligament rupture in nine months. – Ben Collins
