Its So Close…

Written by Motts on February 13 2012

I just turned to Richo and said “why don’t we head along and watch your boys take on the Tiges and the Roos this Friday night?”. And she said yes. How excited d’ya reckon I am to be going to the footy again this Friday night?

Sure its only the nab Cup but I will have my sights firmly set on Morris, Ellis, Derickx, Urquhart, Warren, Atley, Shiels, Franklin, Rioli and many more – feel free to suggest some names to me in Comments.

Otherwise, after the intraclub games over the weekend, what else is on your mind?

  1. Urquhart’s only chance of regular game time would be if Brad Scott sees him slotting into the spot vacated by Rawlings across half back. And heaven help us if he does play in the role as he’s prone to butchering the ball by foot. I’d look elsewhere for SC cheapies.

  2. Question…Pendies price is too high obv (700k), so assuming his first 5-6 scores are only fair by his standards/history.

eg: 99, 145, 94, 155, 89, 94…… his BE at this point will be high and his price will drop, astute punters have plans to get him in anywhere from this point onwards at or around 600k, thus saving 100k….

He will start in my side, I will not be wasting a trade to save merely 100k on a player that would have at this point still avg’d 112 in what we have already deemed to be a fair period…trades are gold..make your money elsewhere…..make sense?

  3. A little off topic but I certainly haven’t seen a thread for it but..Is there an Android App for Supercoach or Dreamteam. Just got a Galaxys2 and have no idea about smartphones yet but would like to know from the SCworld what stuff I can get that helps me win this years grand prize.

  4. Is there anywhere that will be doing live SC score updates. No NAB on free to air TV and My Austar hasn’t been reconnected yet.

  8. My midfield as it stands is:
Ablett, Swan, Murphy, Sam Mitchell, Hayes, Morabito, Tom Mitchell and Pfeiffer.

I have enough money left over to upgrade Swan to Pendlebury.

Please comment whether or not you think you will eventually need both Swan and Pedders in your side to be competitive.

Thumbs up if you would make the upgrade now

  10. Hi guys. Only 39 days to go. I’m not counting!! Unsure if correct place to post this but people mention this year the guns you MUST have are Gaj, Buddy, murphy etc. Is Goddard included in that must have list or would u choose a different dpp player over him. I already pencilled in Dids,Scotland and Broughton. Thanks

  13. Lol Motts you are so excited it sounds like you proposed
“and she said yes” ! Why wouldn’t the Richo wanna go and see her boys?! Have fun lovelies. Read: have a drink for me. Working until 7 every Friday night so if I go to fri games I will miss the first half or at least the first 1/4. I’ll still go though. Sucker for punishment. I still remember a hawks game at artic park I got there at 1/4 time we were up by over 50 pts… We went on to be smashed, lol.

  14. Tom Scully?
Will have plenty of opportunity as the Giants number one midfielder and most teams won’t bother tagging him as they’ll win by 20 goals either way. Is he value? Could hit 600K by round 8.

  15. Gee Collingwood’s 2012 campagne has started well hasn’t it? First Alan Didak goes down with an adductor, then Ben Johnson with a hamstring, then Krakouer with depression, then Jamie Elliott with a hammy, then Marty Clarke with a leg (PA reported this on Buntine V Clarke. Havent heard anything myself) and now newly appointed leadership group member Travis Cloke gets caught driving whilst his license was disqualified.

    GO PIES!

  16. Since there are no rounds where a single team has a bye, what are people’s thoughts on having 3 or so players from the one team. I am considering have Deledio, Ellis and Morris all in my backline with the intention of upgrading Ellis and Morris before Richmond’s Round 13 bye.
Is that too many players from the one team in the one position??
