J-Brown in Doubt

BRISBANE Lions skipper Jonathan Brown is no certainty to play his 200th game against Adelaide on Sunday after suffering a knock to his knee.

Lions coach Michael Voss said today Brown’s knee had swelled up during the flight home from Perth after he kicked the matchwinning goal against West Coast on Saturday night.

Brown kicked five goals against the Eagles in his best return since Round 3.

“He is in a little bit of doubt coming into the game,” Voss told the AFL website.

“He has … just tweaked his knee a little bit and we just need to make sure that’s OK.

“It just got a little bit swollen after the flight so we have just got to monitor it and make an assessment a little bit later in the week on how he is travelling.”

Voss said he would wait until Thursday to make a call on his skipper.

  1. FREMANTLE ruckman Aaron Sandilands is far from certain to prove his fitness ahead of Saturday’s crucial AFL clash with Sydney at Subiaco Oval.
