JLT Game Chat – Dockers v Blues

Written by Motts on March 10 2017

CARLTON has loaded up the big names for its trip to Domain Stadium for tonight’s JLT Community Series clash against Fremantle.

Coming off a mildly disappointing 92-point loss to St Kilda last Saturday, the Blues Membership Department will be overjoyed to know that Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs, Kade Simpson, Matthew Kreuzer and Jack Silvagni will all be returning.

This was the cunning masterplan of Bolts all along, given they faced a six-day turnaround – and a cross-country flight – between pre-season games.

Also named in Carlton’s squad is key defender Alex Silvagni – cousin of Jack and the remainder of the famous Carlton clan – who was rookie listed by the Blues this year after 53 games in seven seasons for the Dockers.

Dylan Buckley (hip) and Charlie Curnow (shoulder) both won’t make the trip.

Fremantle might get its first look at Griffin Logue, the Swan Districts backman selected with the eighth selection overall at last year’s NAB AFL Draft.

The Dockers have also named new spearhead Shane Kersten despite suffering a rib injury during the last-gasp win over Collingwood at Mandurah last Saturday.

  1. Fyfe leather poisoning – looking a tad sharp.

Sandi dominant in the ruck contest as well (not surprisingly against Kruizer)

    1. Ive been sold since January. Going to be plenty of Sandi hitout to Fyfe, Neale tackles, Fyfe tackles, Fyfe handballs out to Neal who kicks. 30 points in 12 seconds

      1. The only reason I haven’t taken much notice up until now is that I had assumed Fyfe’s return would cost him possessions. Suffice it to say that I am seriously reconsidering my position.

  4. Really hope both coaches let Fyfe/Danger go head-to-head like they did last time they matched up.

158 and 188 would be lovely first round. Shame we can’t loophole them.
