Lake v Hargrave

Written by Motts on March 9 2012

I don’t have to tell you about these blokes. They’re cheap, they’ve been good in the past, they were rubbish last year. Got ’em?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. BLeeDiN’ ReD & BlaCk has put a post together on the M/F DPP’s this year. Just read thru it and its gold. Seriously. Gold.

It’ll be on the site at 7am tmrw.

  2. Far too risky. Would go against my decision last year to never have a mid-pricer again. The cost of these two is similiar to say broughton and Morris for example. I know which pair I would choose.

  3. Hargrave is the first player picked this year….simple. Sasha he is nearly half the price of broughton so not sure what you are talking about.

  4. Hey SCT coaches,
I know it’s risky and i’ll probably cop some flak for it but i’d love to know what everyone thinks about Courtenay Dempsey. I know he is coming off a serious knee injury but Lake and Hargraeve are both coming off there own troubles as well. He seems to be running around the Essendon half-back line picking up kicks at will. He is cheaper than both Lake and Hargrave at $273,000 and just might be the cash cow that sneaks under everyone elses radar.

Thumbs Up – Worth a punt, looks good at this stage.
Thumbs Down – Better off with Lake or Hargrave.

    Cheers.

  5. Im a bombers fan and Dempsey usually tears it up first up. He will taper off and be a bit inconsistent as the year progresses. I really hope he sustains his form through the year. I personally think hargrave will give you consistently higher numbers. Hargraves style of more chip kicks to players in the clear will also ensure less clangers than Dempsey who will attack and penetrate more with potentially more turnovers/clangers.

  6. O I see. I would be surprised if Hargrave didn’t average within 10-15 points of broughton if he plays all games.

  7. Hargraves has been impressive but with Williams going down I am concerned he will now need to take a more defensive role. He is an outside chance, I will watch the last two NAB games closely.

  8. This will be a key decision for me. Hargrave or Lake? There is only room for one in my team. Much like the Boyd or Murphy dilemma, I am not sure that it makes a difference which one I choose.

No one seems to have a strong opinion either way.

BTW, Hargrave and Murphy are currently winning their respective contests in my team.
