  1. Shai Bolton kept his spot this week.

Up – bring him in to replace Parsons
Dn – not worth it, save the trade

  2. Essentially:

    TU – Berry-Scharenberg & Barrett-Sloane
    TD – Williamson-Scharenberg & Barrett-Dusty

Williamson the bigger priority to get rid of over Berry but moving Berry on allows me to get Sloane…dilemmas, dilemmas.

    1. go with what works best with your bye structure. If you have a full team for round 13 then go sloane. If you need more players for round 13 and are struggling go Dusty as his round 12 bye will be key for you

  3. If I bring in Bolton that gives me 18 this week.

T/U – get bolton this week (18 playing this week)
T/D – miss Bolton and get Cousins next week (17 playing this week)

  4. Who will be the best defender of the rest of the year:

T/U: Alex Rance (bit of a roller coaster)
T/D: Zac Willams (fairly consistent w/out high ceiling)

Bye structure not a worry as I’m ok for Round 13.

  5. Bye structure not an issue with this one, only points from here on out.

    T/U: Jelwood
    T/D: Martin
    Comments: Pendles Or Zerrett

  6. Who will score more points between now and the end of the season?

    TU – JPK
    TD – Selwood

    I just cant split them!

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Toss a coin….. I’ve had both from the start. Both had their ups both their slump. Both season campaigners. Too hard to seperate. Paper scissors rock it

  7. Will JJK’s absence affect Yeo’s role in the team? If so, will this hurt his output?

For example, if a defender ends up playing forward, could Yeo be given a lockdown role?

    TU: Yeo will be fine
TD: You never know with Adam Simpson

    1. WCE fan at work reckon he could well be affected. Yeo/McGovern are the two swingbackman but if he goes forward, it will make their plays more predictable.

        1. Who knows, might get less of the ball but when he might get more 1%ers and intercept marks. Would be risky to grab him this week.

See how he plays, wait for his bye then get him in.

          1. I’m afraid waiting isn’t really an option. I need warm bodies on the field this week, and I only have one spot left in my forward line (and not a lot of spots anywhere else – there’s one more in my backline, but that’s reserved for Roberton next week).

      1. If so, will this be a regular occurrence?

        TU: Yes
TD: No, just a once-off (or a very occasional thing)

        16

          1. I reckon he will comfortably score 80s while tagging. My concern is more about whether his body will hold up.

          2. When with WC he scored 2012 ave 104(22),’13 103.8 (18) ’14 80 (12) ’15 57.4 (12) ’16 74 (3). He scored 112 tagging Bont. It depends on his roll if he a shut down player or a run with player. He usually runs with a leading mid and scores through tackles and being on the ball. He won’t maintain the tackle score of his first two games with Geelong. He is a classy player with a horrendous history of injuries. He is cheap and a bargain if his body stands up. That is the gamble. 80s average is feasible.

  8. Have traded Pickett for Greenwood

With 10k short of Fisher to Scott Selwood should i:

T/U – Trade Fisher for Bolton and Myers/Barrett for Selwood

T/D – Trade Fisher for Bolton or hold my trades (20 left)

  9. Bringing Jelwood in.
Myers and Parsons my two worst playing this week, so would lose one of their scores if I trade out Barrett, but lose a fair bit of cash that barrett will make in the following weeks due to his low BE compared to wills.

TU WHE out (18 playing this week)
TD Barrett out (19 playing this week)

  10. I’ve made two of 3 trades this week and have 18 on the field. But have copped a few low scores with Otten’s 36 being the lowest in the 2 games so far.

My question is should I use my 3rd trade to bring in Bolton for Pickett, who I was planning to previously pass on. If Bolton scores, say his average of 55, then it doesn’t seem worth it though, as the net benefit of getting rid of Otten’s mess, so to speak is only 19 points?

T/u – Stick to the original plan and save the trade.
T/d – bring him in, will be cash cow and could score 70+

  11. With Sandi a last minute confirmed out in typical FURL style, do I bring in Grundy with my 3rd trade this week or just cop the donut and save the trade? Ranked about 8K.

    Pros:

    – Cox not playing, so on paper Grundy should score well.
    – Cloud over whether Sandi will play next week as well.
    – Was thinking about upgrading Sandi to a premo anyway at some stage.

    Cons:

    – Bit of a sideways / knee-jerk trade
    – Grundy has the r13 bye as well

T/U – Yup pull the trigger.
T/D – Nah hold off, there are better Premo ruckmen out there.

    1. Given its ‘Best 18’, it doesn’t matter where you cop donuts.

Could you bring in S’Berg, Adams, Pendles or even Ryan instead?

      3

      1. Thanks Chillo (and Chips!) – yeah thought about S’berg, Ryan etc – but because this is the last game, virtually impossible to bring in anyone else (and I’ve already got my full quota of mids)..

        1. If you were originally planning to get Grundy to complete your rucks, go for it.

I’m in a similar boat re the donut, but I’ve gone Fisher to Adams instead. I was going to bite the bullet and get him eventually anyway. Now watch him get injured in the first quarter!

          1. Tbh – I’d much rather Gawn in a couple of weeks. Smart money may have been to trade Sandi out for a Premo MID/FWD earlier this week but then FURL happened again…

      2. Grundy is actually the fifth best ruck overall, and cheap as chips. Unless you plan on going McEvoy, Sauce or Mummy (who all have downside), he’s probably not the worst option. Keeping a spot for Gawn would be the only worry.

        1. Righto – I’ve decided to go with Grundy. Sandi’s made $150K+ and I would have gladly taken that at the start of the season. Also frees up $13K which is a lil bonus.

        2. Was thinking about Grundy for rd 14, so guess I’ll just save my doughnut feast for rd 13 now. Mmmm doughnuts… (0) (0) (0)
