  2. 5 trades & 15k

    TU – Hore (D6) & Logue (D7) > Stewart & Quaynor
    TD – Hore & Bewley > Sicily & I.Hill (for DPP link)

Can’t afford to get Hore up to anyone good with 1 trade

  3. Using one word, describe my possible trade.

O Baker out, Danger swings to mids to finish off mids, Simpkin at F6 until Daniel returns when he becomes a loophole at F6 with Westhoff.

Will leave me full(ish) premo with 4 trades and little funds in the bank.

  4. Reading this possibility that logue could be a late inclusion for Ryan.. what news am I missing?
    TU possible chance
    TD absolute bullshit
    Comment worthy news

    1. Twitter seems to be saying that Logue didn’t travel with the group. Looks like he won’t be a late in but there’s strong talk of Ryan being a late out.

      1. Cheers.. found the WA article. If logue didn’t travel that means goodbye.
Don’t have Ryan so all good
        Thanks guys

      1. He’s probably secretly on a separate flight.. 😛

Come to think of it, that sounds like exactly the kind of thing Chris Scott would pull.

  5. TU – Stewart ($486k, avg 100, safe consistent performer)
TD – LWeller ($474k, avg 92, DEF-MID swing with Lockhart)

  6. Current backline premiums are ZWilliams, Lloyd, Hurn, Laird and Sicily so need a D6 to finish it off. 6 trades currently left.

TU – two trades to get Whitfield
TD – one trade to get Stewart (GEE)

  7. Only have 445k for D6. This will mean I avoid a donut and finish off my team.
    I already have Sicily.
    T/U – Newman
    T/D – Sheppard

  8. T/U – Jelly > Simpkin (Via TKelly) + Logue to Laird to finish DEF

T/D – Jelly > JPK + $100k for a $470k DEF next week but cop the Logue Donut

  9. Logue to Crisp
    Or
    Begley to Hanrahan
This will allow me to have $$ for Logue to Hurn?
8 trades left currently before round starts.

Bassically, is it worth using extra trade for Hanrahan, to get Hurn!? Leaves me with 6 trades left.
    Thanks!

  10. Good news for Chol owners from Dimma’s presser today. When asked about Richmond’s run of upcoming games at the MCG, Dimma said:
“… Mabior Chol is obviously a player that’s played the last 3 games but hasn’t played a game at The G yet. So it will be his first time to debut at that ground.”

    1. Got to say I may be in the minority but I actually like him as a pick & have got him for Burgess this week to cover Logue.

Obviously the guy is as injury prone as they come however, he averages between 70-85 when playing. We only need 4-7 weeks out of him & most sides he will be a D7

      3

      1. I’d be trading Logue to him.

Friends have made me paranoid however, stating it might be a send off game in his home state of Tasmania but I doubt (hope) that’s not the case.

Surely no less of a risk than paying $150k for Quaynor.

      2. You’ve got a couple of weeks to decide whether to go with Birch or not. Patience is required. Those couple of weeks will give you more reliable data.

        2

        1. It’s to avoid a donut for me as I have no cover on the bench I don’t trust Quanors JS so I think birch is better option & experienced player

  11. Want to upgrade Toby Greene at f6,

Other forwards are danger, kelly, Marshall, boak, Dunkley.

Want j Kelly in the mids so could trade out bewley for

    Tu- heeney
    Td- ziebell

Swing one of the others into the mids and go Greene for Kelly when he returns….

  12. Trying to avoid a donut in defence.

    Have $59k in bank.
    4 trades left

    Is this a good idea?

    Thumbs Up:
    Trade Burgess to Quaynor
    =+$95k in bank.
Then pray that Logue plays more games so I can trade in a premo eventually.
Ending with 2 trades and a full team

    Thumbs Down:
    Take the donut.

    Comment:
    Any other suggestions?

  13. So who has the better job security:

    TU Quaynor
    TD Birchall

Need onfield this round to cover Logue, but both too expensive have on the bench if not playing as bench cover during the finals

Comment: Take a donut this week!

  14. With Duursma D6 dropped.

Going to hold Duursma this week and trade Burgess D7 to

    T / U Quaynor 153k

    T / D Birchall 205k

Bugger just noticed the exact same poll is posted above.

  15. Went for dinner with our neighbours and the kids last Friday.
Neighbour pulls out his phone before the bounce (he’s a Hawks fan) and starts looking at SuperCoach!

    * ears pricked up

    Wife: not you as well!
    Neighbour: huh? What?! Ah sorry
Wife: don’t worry about it, I’m bl00dy used to it!
    😉

So it turns out he’s in a big cash League at work and sitting just outside the eight … with 22 trades left!!!

Last week, we traded in Sicily for Duursma and Yeo for Libba.

    His team is now:

Hurn Laird Sicily Finlayson HORE Clark (Collins Crocker)

Cripps Neale Taranto Oliver Yeo Henderson Ross Walsh (Hately Answerth Scott)

    Grundy Goldstein (Bines)

Kelly Billings Heeney Rozee Blakey ? (Burgess Brander)

Can’t physically run out of trades. Obviously Hore goes with no cover, but to whom and what else?

Think he has about $120k ITB.

Thanks all. We’re going out again tonight … might become a weekly thing 😉

      1. With 22 trades left, I’m not sure I’m able to give credible advice. Just outside the 8 in a big cash league you say, happy to be in that league next year!!

  16. 3 trades remaining.

TU Trade Logue to Silvagni. Avoid Zero.

TD Downgrade ROB this week. Take Logues Zero.

  17. TU: Take the donut in defence, wait for Whitfield to come down in value and D Clarke to fatten further

TD: Duursma and D Clarke out for Crisp and Curtis Taylor / Ian Hill (for DPP). $51,700 and 6 trades remaining

Rest of starting backline is Williams, Lloyd, Hurn. Sicily, Andrews

  18. With Australia knocked out of the World Cup, who are we going for in the final?

    TU: New Zealand
    TD: England

Comment: I’m hoping the whole thing gets rained-out.

    1. I’d like to see NZ win it. They seem like a good bunch of blokes, and Kane Williamson is a beast.
On the other hand, England are captained by that Irish **** and have that ranga allrounder who punched that bloke that time.
      Yeah, go New Zealand!

      18

      9
      1. Under normal circumstances I’d barrack for the Poms over the Kiwis, but given that they’re the ones who knocked us out, I’m not quite sure I can bring myself to do so this time around.

        1

        0
        1. If you barrack for the Poms over anyone, then you should have your citizenship revoked and be deported back to the motherland!

          17

          100
          1. Haha… I’ve actually been to the Motherland, and really, really liked it, so sometimes I think I wouldn’t mind if I got transported back!

            1. Fair enough…

Sitting up here in Darwin on the porch in a pair of shorts at 730 pm, I know where I’d rather be!

  19. 7 trades, lots of cash.

TU: Upgrade D. Clarke and X. Duursma ($150K remaining)
TD: Upgrade J. Hately and G. Logue ($50K remaining)

Option 2 leaves me with less cash but arguably better bench cover. Also means though that I am 2 trades away from upgrading M. Lewis instead of 1. Would mean 3 trades after full premo…

  20. I have Logue and Garner on the field and need to trade one of them to Quaynor but not sure which one. Who is more likely to get brought back into the senior side? Because I may need to keep one of them on the field for at least 2 more weeks.

    1

    1. I think Logue will be back soon, Hawks have named a small team so I think match-ups might also be at play…although that would be giving FURL too much credit.

  21. Anyone know Birchall numbers in reserves or hasn’t he played at all? Limited trades left thinking of taking the punt on him?

      13disposals
      6marks and

Probably more stats available but that’s all I have to hand.

  22. Some weeks I wish that I could do three trades…. but in the not too distant future I will be wishing that I had three trades period.

  23. So learned community (and those in my leagues, look away now / no ‘dodgy’ advice!!) a couple of queries if you please:
What chance is ROB of getting his BE or close to?
How much will Whitfield lose do we fell – (Gold has about $28K) AND will he get to below $500K and ROB hold about parity at $500K??

    0

    1. I’m a lunatic, grabbed Westhoff last week and thinking of getting Simpkin tomorrow afternoon.

As for you, depends if you’ve got Lycett/Bines or not. Having a fwd that can swing into the rucks for coverage then getting your F7 up and onto the field is super useful this time of the year.

      0

      0
  24. And with that query, what do people think of these possible trade scenarios:

    1. T/U – ROB to Mundy (Danger to mids) to fund Logue to Whitfield this round. Mundy will stay D6 …
    2. T/D – ROB to Heeney and Logue to Stewart – miss Whitfiled for the year? (ie is Stewart a viable cover over Whitfield with Smith as D7?)

    6
  25. With both Logue & Hately dropped this week, will be trading out one….but can’t decide which one is better to keep

    TU Keep Logue
    TD Keep Hately

    7

    2
    1. Kelly is out and Hately still couldn’t keep his spot in the team. Unfortunately I think he’s the one to trade.

      1

      0
    2. really depends on coverage on the lines – if you have other coverage on mid line, then trade Hately … and vice versa … have to try and make sure you have at least one coverage player on the lines – so a chance Logue will be back … not sure on Hately – he’s clearly not favoured with being in and out a few times …

      0

      0
      1. Yeah, think I’ll trade out Hately. So can either trade in Hurn to finish off my DEF or Treloar to finish off my MIDS

TU – Trade in Hurn (BE of 111) as may not have enough cash to get him next week
TD – Trade in Treloar (BE of 88) final mid can wait another week or two

        3

        2
  26. Simple one:

Tu: JKelly> Neale( May be tagged)

    Td: JKelly> Sloane

    Current mid field:

Fyfe, JKelly, Macrae, Bont, Cripps, Oliver, Coniglio, DClarke.
    Hind, Hately, Setters.
