If you need any help from the SCT Coaches, then here is your last chance before the first Rolling Lockout tonight.  Who to play at M8?  Can I use Darcy Fogarty as Emergency Loophole (yes, you can!)?  How does that Captains Loophole thingy work again?  Whatever you need, we’re all here to help 😉  Good luck this weekend, Coaches!

  1. Probably been asked already but who for Hibberd? Im running out of time

    TU – H.Shaw
    TD – K.Simpson

  2. Who to get as a forward rookie with so many options.

Have Bailey Fritsch and Liam Ryan so:

    Zac Langdon – > ?

Billy Gowers? Dan Venables? Tim English? Jarrod Garlett?

Ruled out Waterman with JJK tarnishing his job security but let me know below who out of the options above has best job security.

    Cheers, much appreciated.

  3. Coaches, in grave danger of a last minute rush trade, I need guidance. Currently have JOM at M5 to use as stepping stone for premo later in the season. Thinking of trading him for Taranto, thoughts?

    TU: Yep do it
TD: Hold you deadset battler, that’s a waste of a good ol trade.

Only thought is Taranto might be M9 or F7 keeper at season end, otherwise he’ll end up a stepping stone too.

    1. If u trade Omeara, make sure it’s to a definite keeper. Not saying Taranto isn’t but it’s highly unlikely. If u don’t have the funds either downgrade or hold

      1. Cheers wognuts you maddog, sound advice. Have got the funds (have a Danger kitty brewing) but you’re right, if he’s not a keeper no point burning the trade.

  4. I’m keen to hold Hibberd with the news of Frost’s return but turning him into HShaw gives me the funds to go Armitage-Cogs.

Then again, I have Greene and Langdon on my FWD bench meaning I’d have to play Fritsch-Ryan-Garlett on field if I do the above trades.

TU – Hibberd-HShaw & Armitage-Cogs, but three FWD rookies on field this week

TD – Langdon-English & Armitage-Christiansen/Fisher meaning two FWD rookies on field this week and a loophole option (Greene)

    1. Hibberd to Laird (will do Redden to Coniglio)- t/u

      or

Redden to Laird (keep Hibberd) and spend all the money in my kitty – t/d

  5. I have two forward spots that require rookie cover, but who to put on the field?!

    Fritsch is on the field
    Garlett is bench-cover

    For the second playing rookie?

    T/u Liam Ryan
    T/d Timothy English

    Thank you coaches!!!

    1. English to lead ruck duties this week, could post a solid number. I think Ryan’s tonne was a flash in the pan against a very average Bulldogs defence, will be a different game against Geelong.

  6. Not footy related, but I’m going to let the SCT coaches decide on this major parenting decision 😉

School holidays & Catta has Monday off, taking the kids out for a day of fun!

T/U …. Luna Park / fish & chips on the beachfront
T/D …. Melbourne Zoo & macca’s on the way home

    Cheers Catta

    1. I have an 11 year old girl and a 9 year old boy. Girl wants to go to zoo, boy, luna park. My 18 month old said something in japanese

      17

  7. TU :Naughton – >Bonner
    Zorko – > Cripps?
    (130k)

    TD: Hibberd – > Bonner
Langdon – > Cripps/Taranto/Value mid fwd (10-150k depending on the player)

    5

    17
  8. Since I still have Kreuzer and don’t trust him to stay healthy is it stupid to bring in Tim English and if so for Olango or Giles-Langdon

    TU: Bring in English

    TD: Don’t bring in English

    2

    29
      1. Who is your other ruckman??

If you want English for ruck cover then you will have to trade Olango because you can’t cover Kruezer with English on the Fwd bench unless you have another Fwd/Ruc,

        3

  9. In the fortunate position where I didn’t need to make a premo corrective/injury trade. Have 2 Mid Rookies and 1 Fwd rookie onfield. Considering trading Brayshaw to Liam Ryan (both on bench) for better cash generation. Might also need the extra 50-60k to help with any early defence rookie upgrades.

T/U – Worth it, better cash generation.
    T/D – Hold the trade.

  10. So the Crouch injury was unfortunate but it gives me a chance to grab Coniglio and use the cash to shore up my forward line (I contemplated going to an uber-premo like Dusty or Oliver but I think the money can be better spent elsewhere). I was hoping to be able to go ZGL-> Taranto (via Garlett into the mids to open up DPP) but was about 24k short.

    My dilemma is this:

    TU – ZGL-> Fisher
TD – ZGL -> Rookie (Venables or Waterman as I already have Ryan, Fritsch, and Garlett).

    Or hold (comment).

    11

    10
      1. Daniel Z.

If you go the T/D option you can afford Dusty.

Dusty is a Captain option every week.

My choice would be Crouch for Dusty

English is another option for ZGL.

But I would hold and see how Higgins goes. His DPP status makes him a much more attractive rookie.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

Ps If you already have Titch and Danger go Cogs for value.

        1. Cheers for the votes (and Freo for the comment).

I was seriously considering Dusty but I have a pretty full midfield (including Titch and Danger) and want to give myself opportunities to pick up some fallen premiums in the midfield when they arrive.

  11. TU: out crouch&lambert, in mitchell&curnow
TD: out crouch&naughton, in mitchell&ryan (via swing keefe back losing my Sicily/Keefe swing pair for now)

Keen on crouch to Mitchell and need the 50k from one of those other trades.

  12. Should I bring in cripps over oliver and save enough cash to bring in danger next week when his price falls?

    14

    7
      1. @Quick it would be someone cheap like Bonner or value like Ryan. Laird would definitely be a must have this year I reckon. He’s racking the ball up like no tomorrow

        2

        0
    1. Only trade if you reckon it can help you make a clear improvement to your team. There’s not enough certainty of his scoring dropping off to make a risky play at Hibberd’s expense.

      2

      0
  13. Libba out – enough cash for option 1 and only using 1 trade or use two trades and get a more expensive mid

Option 1 – Libba Straight swap > Coniglio

    Option 2 – Libba & Hibbert > Simpson & Oliver

    12

    16
  14. Ranked 138 but in a world of hurt this week. (Not too worried about rank-byes I’m sure will kill me)

Going to keep Hibberd – I’m backing the players back to help free him up.

Stuck with Greene and Sicily forward so gotta play all three rookies (Garlett/Ryan/Fritch)

TU – Trade Greene – Heeney
TD – Leave as is and don’t burn a trade

    8

    25
    1. Be careful with Fritsch, apparently pulled up sore last week so just watch and make sure he’s not a late out.

  15. Need to trade to avoid a donut up forward; thinking either

T/U: ZGL to another rookie (probably English)

T/D: Hibberd to a forward premo (probably Bob Gray)

  16. Season in ruins already….Hibberd, Daniher & Dahlhaus to deal with
    Also Hunter Clark.
Corrective trades in order or have some faith?

    6

    3
    1. Spoon De Wood.

Hunter Clark and Dollhouse your biggest issues.

Daniher may go BIG this weekend Vs the Dogs. They don’t have a big defender that can go with him. I picked him as my Perfect 9 for this game. HOLD!

If Hibberd stinks it up again I may bite the bullet and rage trade him to Heater.

Dump Hunter Clark and get in a Mid you don’t have.

Kelly, Finlayson , Holman, Barry, Banfield , Brayshaw, Garlett, LDU or DOW in that order.

Dollhouse , If you really don’t think he can get back to his best you could move him on for Mclean or Taranto if you want to hold back a little cash.

      Best of luck this weekend.

      1. Cheers FT, I kinda share your optimism re Daniher. I feel like the damage has been done with him & I’ve already copped his worst.
I always run out of trades too early (no wonder with some of my initial selections) so I’m trying to believe Dollhouse can return to form. Haven’t seen too much of the Doggies so his supposed role change has caught me out.
Likewise Hibberd. But I don’t want to endure another Heath Shaw 2017 episode. Hmmm…Taranto has looked good…
With Clark, I’ve got all the main cash cows, other than L Ryan, so I may do that trade via dpp.

  17. Last thing
I need to trade out a Fogarty
    Do I

T/U:Wait 2weeks and get in Higgins

T/D Get in Ryan or Waterman this week

  18. Hey fellow coaches am in stress central over here.

Have Ryder still (as im playing league) and $46,400k in bank. Initially was thinking about trading Ryder to Goldy and Naughton to Bonnar.

Although i also have Greene, Sicily and Langdon, so am one down in my fwd line.

Playing for league, any thoughts appreciated.

  19. Dow 196K + Rayner 202K out,
Coniglio + any other <130K in,

Possible points + a cash generating rookie in return for 2 overpriced underachievers?

    7

    1
  20. For the captains loophole, can you put the C on an emergency such as GWS Keefe? Or does the player nominated need to be not named at all?

    3

    0
      1. Ben you actually need a player that you can garantee WILL NOT PLAY. Yes you can do it but if Your emergency comes on in the 4th quarter and gets 14points and you for whatever reason didnt get the chance to change it…..24pts genius..just saying

        0

        1
  21. Started Cole at d3 in the hope he’d play rnd 2 but that backfired. Don’t have enough cash to trade him straight to Bonner so

    T/U Cole to Guthrie
T/D Cole to Bonner + Brayshaw to Ryan/Waterman/Fogarty/Fisher

    1

    1
  22. Thoughts on Zac Fisher as a stepping stone. Have Greene, Sicily and Langdon so one down in fwd line

TU – Ryder to goldy or nic nat, and Naughton to Bonnar (one down)

TD – Ryder to Nic nat, and Langdon to Fisher

    2

  23. who is the better forward option??

T/U – Gowers $117K (BE -37) – seems to have ok JS with all the changes at The Doggies this week… has scored a 49 & 57 so far.

T/D – Marshall $194K (BE -38) – seems also to have good JS given Dixon has been swung into the ruck & he remains as a tall target in the forward line… has scored 59 & 93 so far (inc 7 goals).. should kick a few this week also against the Lions after recent swags by Hogan & Membrey…

  24. Was set on crouch to Danger. (Thumbs up)

Other option I’m looking at is Crouch + Naughton —> Coniglio + Heater Shaw (thumbs down)

    Any advice appreciated

  25. Took a punt on Cyril and am ready to jump off
T/up Libba and Cyril -> Fogarty and Venables (cash generation)
T/down Libba and Cyril -> Dusty/Mitchell and Venables

Comments if you think Cyril might come good – he didn’t play any JLT so just warming up!

  26. TU: bont to dangerfield. Do it now don’t bank on him being cheaper later on.
TD: bont to dusty. Dangerfield will be cheaper but dusty might be too expensive soon.

  27. Need an opinion please.

already traded out crouch so have one trade left that i feel i need to utilise this week. i made no trades last week.

T/U trade francis watson (non playing rookie who was emerg in round 1) to bonner which will allow me to leave naughton and murphy on the bench

T/D trade menegola to heeney/petracca/buddy other (i already have smith, mclean and billings in fwd line and need another premium as menegola not performing as i expected)

  28. Hey everyone! I need some help with my team, currently have Giles-Langdon and have Naughton with both trades still available.

TU- Naughton and Langdon > Bonner and Mirra via Sicily DPP
    TD- Hold Trades

  29. I’ve played for years and some reason I don’t know the answer to this question.. Can you not reverse trades after the first match is played? None of the played teams players are involved in the reversal.

I can push reverse but then nothing happens. Accidentally forgot to set my team and have a donut in the forward line with Garlett not marked as an emg!

    0

    0
    1. Nope, you can not reverse trades after the first bounce of the round. Just about everyone falls into that trap once, unfortunately today is your turn! Bad luck Manbeast.

  30. I have Naughton at D6, with Sicily and O’Connor on the bench. Is it worth trading Darcy Fogarty to LMurphy (via O’Connor), to grab some cash and allow me to loop Murphy with Naughton at D6?

Obviously I have very little faith in Naughton, but I’m not sure it’s worth a trade. Help?

    1

    0
    1. How many other trades have you made? You’d be wasting a trade for many 30-40 points this week + faster cash generation. Tough one.

      0

      0
      1. Yeah, that’s why I’m having trouble deciding. I also have ZGL, so only 26 fit players this week.

I might just roll the dice with Naughton this week and re-assess next week.

        0

        0
        1. I like the hold. Murphy has shaky JS and is doing just enough to hang around for now. Naughton has decent JS and will eventually get moving.

          1

          0
        2. Hi Chillo
actually think against you 5 in one of leagues this week.
          Same dilemma with Naughton
Used cash to upgrade z Langdon to Taranto which didn’t work , but still having relativity good week and our battle will be close.
