  1. Head says loophole danger but so tempted to put the C on Macrae. Almost hoping Sweet plays so it forces my hand.

Am I being a greedy pig?

    TU: yes
    TD: yes

  2. Me being forgetful forget to put the VC on Danger in the tech team and now have no available loophole options for VC so:

T/U – Captain Bont vs Suns
T/D – Captain Treloar vs Eagles

  3. Play it safe and take Dangers 128 T/U

Macrae will beat score 130 minimum and should push 160 T/D

    1. Sydney is a side Setters should be more effective against, but I reckon anything around that 70 mark from a rookie should be banked unless you have someone scoring like Constable as an alternative.

  4. Hore to Rozee

Have all other rookies bar Moore (who may replace greene pending on Setterfield)

    T/U – Yes
    T/D – No

  5. Missed making the trade last night as I was working (hate Thursday night games) but do you think Dollhouse is the real deal and a top 6-8 fwd by years end?

      1. Dahl’s tackle count is the most impressive thing for me.

Dev Smith tackled his way to Top 6 forward last year proving himself at a new club.

Maybe Dahl can do the same thing.

I thought about him when I corrected Mundy.

I ended up going T Kelly based purely on midfield time.

Can you believe there could be five Cats in the top 10 forwards this year ?

  6. Lions supporter so want to take the rose tinted glasses off but same question with Rich as a top 10 defender by years end and keep his form going?

      1. Yes I do have the tag theory sitting in the back of my mind but surely zorko gets the first tag?

    1. Rich consistently excels with his inconsistency! His scoring history nearly always shows about six good games per year flanked by scores between 60-85. Bring him in at your own risk……

  7. Trade Hore or Hold?

    Up: Greene to worpel
Down: Greene to Rocky (setterfield fwd)
    Comment: other options?

    1. traded Heeney to Lloyd and Hore to Miers. Could have left side alone but had itchy fingers. Feel comfortable with this trade and now have only 1 rookie not on the bubble (Balta)

  8. What are people’s thoughts on Worpel? I want to get him in but only if he is a keeper. It seems that him and JOM are taking up the role left behind from Mitchell and started well these first two rounds. He is also priced at 390k so if he is a top 8 forward he is seriously under priced. My only concern is if he will keep going to finish with a 90+ average.
TU: Will finish Top 8 forwards and is a good trade in
TD: His high scoring will drop off and average below 90

    1. Thought this would be more even, I know its still his second season but looks like he could have a similar year to Oliver’s 2nd, with freedom of a midfield role. He also averaged 88 in the last 6 games of his first year. Some thoughts would be appreciated 🙂

      1. Luke .

For me it comes down to midfield minutes.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Scully and Wingard and where they line up.

He should be alright with Sheil and Shane missing for a few weeks.

I’m still not sure he plays enough Midfield when the Hawks best 22 are on the park.

I love the kids attack on the ball but his DS isn’t the greatest ( still young) If his ( contested) disposal count drops, he is more likely to average 80/90 later in the season.

I see him finishing just outside the top 10 forwards this year.

        Just my 2 cents worth.

  9. Getting last minute cold feet on my trades

    Thumbs up
Dusty – Rock which also allows
    Hore – Moore

    Or

    Thumbs down

Hold Dusty he’ll come good and you’ve got all every other rookie scoring reasonably well and two trades saved

  10. Hi lads
Not sure on whether to hold my trades this week or get a bit of coin for rookies as I only have $2,700 in the bank atm.
    Considering going

    Heeney – Worpel
    Hore – Rozee
Which leaves me with $64,200 in the bank

    T/U: Good idea
    T/D: Hold trades
    Thanks

    Dear Jordan Ridley
I know It was not your fault Essendon performed so poorly week 1. And that you were simply used as a scapegoat by your clearly clueless leader. But Supercoach is a serious sport and the possibility of you and your $233,100 sitting on the pine indefinitely just doesn’t cut the mustard. Yes this is not your fault but I feel compelled to warn you that have approximately 2 hours to magically be a late inclusion in tonights game or else!
    Your Sincerely a frustrated supercoacher

  12. Thinking in advance, can you do three moves for trades?

Eg next week, Aitkins out, Setterfield up to mid, Lobb down to fwd so then Grundy to ruck? Up yes down no will be fine.

    Thanks guys.

  13. Thoughts .. get rid of Goldie for Mumford – expect similar output and $200K for my troubles.

TU – seems like a plan
TD – hell no, he will be reported / injured / a spud / snorting by round 5

  14. Tu- Ridley to Moore & Hore to Scrimshaw
Td- Ridley to Scrimshaw & Hore to Wilkie
Playing in tough leagues . Like the thought of the extra money up my sleeve but mainly need security first then points and money third at this early stage. Rest of team is fine.

      1. Thanks, l didn’t know . Now I’m in a delima as he’s my D4 who must have job security as I have him Hore & Joyce as well. Hmm. I’m thinking he might only play this week and get dropped again. What’s your thinking keep and risk it or trade to Moore as I know he’s got job security .
        Tu- trade Ridley
Td – keep Ridley & trade Hore to either Moore or Scrimshaw

      2. Too late for me.
I traded him for Newman before last nights game, now I can’t reverse………..

  15. Is it worth trading Balta to Parker considering Balta has been named on field this week and Parker has had 2 easy teams and the first 2 rounds with a tough draw ahead?

T/U: Hold Balta he will play for at least a few weeks and make some cash and can be downgraded then.
    Or…
    T/D: Trade Balta to Parker

  16. I believe in trading aggressively.
Thoughts on Brodie smith and Sam Walsh out and a bubble rookie and premium in? Thinking either Taylor Adams or lachie Whitfield.
I have constable and butters for onfield rookies in the mids.
Is this trade to a premium worth it now or wait for more money for future trades?
Just considering due to Whitfield probable being top 4, and I had Adams all pre season until his injury and think he will be top 10(yes,even with games missed)

    1. Aggressive is one thing but it should at least make sense… Brodie Smith is averaging 89 for the year and was priced at 330k – that’s a reasonable start for a stepping stone / mid-pricer. I’m not sure what else you were expecting or what your intention was with having him in your starting line-up if it wasn’t as a mid-pricer / stepping stone.

I agree with pretty much everything else you said except for I can’t see Adams in top-1o total points (maybe based on average score) with only 21 games (or less) for the year – only Gazza / Danger have been able to manage that if I recall.

      1. I wasn’t sure which premium to get so I divided him into smith, ridley and cunningham. I now know I want Whitfield, and due to injury and ridly being dropped they went to rookies. So have cash to use on a premium I want. Better than starting Simpson. Sure down a couple of trades but now ALL my rookies are cash generators and I have no dud premiums. Can sit tight if I do this until proper cow culling begins.

  17. Had Crouch as my VC. Pretty good score last night, but I don’t trust his score enough to loophole. So who do you think I should put the C on?

    TU: Macrae
    TD: Neale
