Last Minute Queries R1

Written by Motts on March 23 2017

Carlton and Richmond players lock-in this evening. Do you have any last minute questions that must be answered before that happens?  Now’s the time to ask the tough questions of the SCT Coaches.  Who to start on the field?  On the bench?  Who do you think could cause an upset this weekend? Whatever the query, the Coaches will do their very best to answer your questions………

  1. How risky is the Nank-Sandi-Witts combo?

With Roughy/Steele in the forward line, adding Nank makes it seem too deep

    TU – Good idea
    TD – Too risky

  2. Hiya 🙂

What is with this rumour there will be a late Carlton out tonight?

I am hoping Pickett scores well as I can loophole him 🙂

    1. Macreadie has been informed that he’ll be getting a run. Talk is that Jed Lamb could be out with a minor knee injury.

  3. After tonight’s CarlvRich game, do we still have unlimited trades for players not on those teams? Does this extend for the weekend or do the two trades kick in from Friday night?

  4. Am I the only coach out there who hasn’t given up on Jobe Watson getting back to being a premium this year?

    1. Roughy is probably your safest bet there, but based of jlt series Steele could be a bargain. I don’t think Taranto has long term job sercurity, but could be good for a nice price rise early.

Having said all that I’ve gone Steele.

  5. TU – JPK, O’Maera and Witts
TD – T. Mitchell, Swallow and Grundy

can decide between these two versions. Huge risk with the rucks going Sandi-Witts but I feel like the risk may pay off

  6. If otten, Hampton and stewart are named they are locked in my backline, last backline spot is open though.

    T/U Smith from melbourne
    T/D Hibberd

  7. Got Gawn and Sandi in the Ruck with Nankervis in the FWDs and Strndica to rotate

TU – Stick with the plan
    TD -Witts for Strndica

  8. So I chose not to pick Nankervis at R1 and instead went Witts at R2 and I’m thinking that’s going to need to be my first corrective trade. If I downgrade the likes of Taranto and Turner to cheaper rookies now before the round starts I’ll earn back enough money to to acquire Nank. Added bonus if I pick a non playing forward rookie like Cameron, strnadica or T Miles I can loophole in Butlers score.

T/U – get Nank in at all costs, downgrade Taranto and Turner and take butlers score in a loop.

T/D – stick with current choices of Witts, Taranto, Turner. You picked them for a reason and they’re sure to make good cash anyway.

    1. You made your choice, now you’ve gotta live with it! Wait it out until post Rd 2 to get a gauge on form and potentially make a corrective trade then

TU: Out: Thurlow and Priddis, In: S Burgoyne and J O’Meara

  10. Anyone know why the Port/Syd & Saints/Dees games both appear to be scheduled at the identical time of 4.35pm today?

Could it be because of the women’s Grand Final? Seems odd they couldn’t find a better time-slot on Sunday even.
