Currently got spangher but Js dosen’t look good

Ive got Rowe on my Ruck bench and im thinking of keeping him but not sure yet.I can see him getting a game soon.

Thumbs Up – Start with Buddy and hope that he plays well for a really tough draw the Hawks have at the start of the season

Geez, this opening split round has been frustrating. So many selections of mine depend on others, particularly rookies, get named. Just name the bloody teams and let’s get on with it!

Concerned about Roughhead’s SC output dropping with less time in the Ruck but then again the DPP could be gold with Cox.
Stevie J being out has made me have to rethink my structure.

If Docherty doesn’t get a start for Brisbane i need another defender, i have to hold my hand up, i haven’t got a clue. I would rather put a contingency plan in place now rather than a last minute rush.
My defence is currently as follows

Morris, Goodes, Docherty (Terlich)
Money is actually no problem. Price doesn’t matter, just the best value defender yet to play.

His name hasn’t been mentioned much over preseason, but Jordan Russell is mounting a case for himself with 1 day to go. With the unexpected dilemma of Terlich and Vlastuin being left out of their respective Rd 1 sides, my 4 starting rookies in defence is looking shaky at best. Is Jordan Russell ($266k) a solution to my defensive problems? Named on the bench for the Pies and played all preseason games (2nd most minutes played for Collingwood). Scored fairly well, ranking 10th in the comp for DT points scored by defenders over preseason.
Dropping Varcoe to Dwyer would facilitate the move from either Terlich/Heath > Russell. He averaged 86.6 back in 2010 with Carlton which included 8 100s.
