A rumour was posted on the website last night that live SuperCoach stats will be available this year. That’s the good news. The bad news is that they’re going to cost you – $2.50 a week the purported price.
If that rumour was true, how would you feel about it?

Please say they’re not going to charge us for the 1/4 by 1/4 stats that they have on the HS website. That, would make me mad.
They know they have us over the barrel in that they know the general populous favours SC over DT due to it’s more realistic nature (ie, Joel Bowden isn’t the best player in the league!!). As a result they are going to slowly, slowly, eek out more and more money from each of us.
We’ve seen it with the little black book seemingly disappearing and us being drip fed this content over 18 newspapers. You do the maths, (18 x $1.50 or 1 x $1). Yes, it’s been freely available online at their own website but undoubtedly there’d be many people who would’ve bought the paper due to these articles.
Companies do what companies do and they try and make a large profit larger and obviously that is going to cost someone. Guess there’s more motivation to win the $50K now!! To stick it to the man.

Mark Robinson from the Herald Sun hinted on SEN yesterday that we will soon be charged for viewing all the Super Footy content online. Hence why we have to pay $2.99 for the new Supercoach app when the Dreamteam app is free

Yeah Paperboy, just read your other comment. That’s just madness and greed. At least we can continue to use these forums and others for FREE!! I’m just fed up with all money grabbing corners of the footy world.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect everything for free and I do contribute where fair and reasonable. I just think this will in the end drive more people away from Supercoach, which is not what we want to do.

Are they insane? $20 SCgold, $10 a month for live stats for say 6 months, $3 app, $40 prospectus, countless newspapers, internet bill, phone bill, possible divorce mid season but worst of all there’s no turning back now.

In all honesty, I’d be more inclined to pay motts for his advice and expertise since he actually cares about supercoach and shows some compassion and genuine interest in his followers unlike the HS, and SCGold geniuses. The fact he doesn’t just use stats smashed into a spreadsheet and uses some commonsense makes him leaps and bounds ahead of the SCGold muppets.
