Which players are already on your radar for 2012?
I’ve run an eye over each team’s list and the ones I’m thinking about, in no particular order, are:
- Tom Hawkins – $359,600
- Tom Rockliff – $554,700
- Josh Kennedy (Syd) – $418,000
- Luke Shuey – $458,000
- Rory Sloane – $415,800
- Matthew Leuenberger – $530,800
- Hamish McIntosh – $396,800
- Paul Johnson – $207,400
- David Mundy – $391,900
- Patrick Veszpremi – $212,200
- Stefan Martin – $316,600
- Jack Grimes – $382,700
- David Swallow – $298,300
- Sam Fisher – $353,600
- Marc Murphy – $508,700
- Mitch Robinson – $385,400
- Heath Shaw – $411,200
- Shaun Burgoyne – $328,800 (if it looks like he’ll be back in the midfield)
- Travis Boak – $359,700
- Isaac Smith – $350,000
- John Butcher – $201,100
- Reece Conca – $202,900
- David Zaharakis – $415,000
These are all blokes that I think will either continue their winning way, take the next step or represent good value at their current price. I’ll also be keeping a keen eye out for Levi Casboult who played some great games for the Bullants this year.
Whaddya think? Do you agree with any of my selections? Who have I missed? Put their final 2011 price next to them so we can refer back to this post next year to see how it changed.

Hmmn – some of these prices just seem waay off to me … for instance, if I could pick up Sam Fisher (who averaged 99.2 points) for $353,600 I would be over the moon and would certainly do it – at an average of 100 his starting price will be closer to $500,000.
I see many cheapies there.
Never putting Grimes in my team again.
These prices r way way off what they will b. The finishing prices of players this year mean jack to next year. And goes by there averages
these look like the ending price for the year. it won’t be the starting price for next year. it should be 2011 season avg multiply by 5.13. then discount maybe applied for injuries.

Good topic Motts.
On my radar:
Sloane – $400K+ (my estimate)
HAYES – <$400K
Lake – <$300K
Roo – $400K+ (a new coach may be a fresh start)
Barlow – $400K
Cooney – $400K
Tuck – $400K (depending upon team/role)
McIntosh – $?
Gaff – $300K
Conca – $250K+
It would have been nice to have J.Tippett in again but he has been delisted.
The fanplanner is up btw on fanfooty to plan your teams guys.
Higgins will be really cheap …. might snaffle him up just so i can have the fun of hating him all season long while he’s out injured / underperforming / generally being a waste of space in my SuperCoach team.
If McIntosh is traded elsewhere he could be a nicely discounted to play at R2.

Anyone I missed? What do you think?
Hey guys everyone keeps talking about Marty Clark from the pies. Never heard of him but! Anyone no anything about him
Heard from a very reliable source who has connections at Champion Data what the plan is in those three consecutive weeks of byes mid-season.
Apparently you will only have to field a team of 15 players in these rounds. Not sure what the breakdown would be, but that’s where Champion Data and by extension SuperCoach, is at the moment with their thinking on the three consecutive weeks of byes.
