Macca’s 2020 Bye Planner

Written by Motts on February 4 2020

Every year, Macca puts in a TON of work to put his bye planner together for the benefit of the community. Show him some SCT love in Comments when you get a chance.

Now before you access the spreadsheets, take a read of the instructions.

OK you’re all set. Here’s the good stuff:

SCT 2020 AFL Bye Planner – Average = Gun

SCT 2020 AFL Bye Planner – $dollars = Gun

Macca, you’re a legend mate. Thanks so much for doing this!

  1. Hey all! Thanks Mottsy – too kind with your words!

Hopefully this is easy enough for all to follow / use – if you’ve been here for oh, I dunno, a long time now, you’re probably used to using the sheets!!

I have kept it in ‘more basic’ excel, for ease of many to use, without resorting to the more fancy uses of macros and pivot tables etc … they tend to get a bit messy to use, not always workable if using old excel versions etc … but may look to ‘upgrade’ in years to come!

Basically, use the files as your main planning tool! You wont have to keep jumping on the SC official site to look players up etc … hopefully their key stats are all showing in the various tabs here!
Save different versions for different scenarios if you are planning for different setups (surely Gawn will be ok … right?/!!)

A bit more ‘info’ in here this year, with showing the positional changes for players – may be useful if you look at that in combination with a club change as well etc …
Also – tried to list those returning players from long period off and ‘discounted’ – this may or may not have been included for AllSaints – he loves a bargain!! *wink*!

OK – I’ll try to stay on line here for a few hours to answer any queries if you have any (time difference here in Brisvegas is annoying! – I’m at work still!)

Cheers all and happy planning!! (this is not just for your byes – but helps with your general team planning as well – also use it when the first round is about to commence! Saves inadvertently locking in a bad choice!!)

    1. Good on ya Macca. That is a heap of work so thanks heaps!

Downloaded and saved. Will be using it this year for sure.

Thanks again mate. I’m more interested in gift-horses than bargains, but hey … semantics 😉
