Hi SCT Community! When is it too early to start planning for the byes??
Therefore, with that in mind, please find enclosed the SCTalk Bye Planner
for 2018 (at end of post).
There is a small price / budget calculator shown in Cells H46 to H49 of the
PLANNER TAB that will let you know if your chosen side is within the
starting cap or not. The bye planner though will continue to work each week
showing how many players you have available over each of the bye rounds.
The workbook has four (4) tabs as follows:
. The key tab
. Shows 2018 starting data and 2017 final averages
. Bye rounds are shown in columns O to S
. The rows shaded black under each of the positions (D, M, R, F)
will indicate how many players ARE available, in each position, each bye
. Total players available for your team are shown in Row 42 columns
O to S and the cells will change colour depending how many players you have
available each week (colour legend shown below them!)
. Pictorial view of teams on the byes in Columns T to X
. Simply choose the players you want in each position in each of the
cells in Column B (choose from the drop down menu in each cell by alpha
order on surname)
BYES-DRAW & SEASON DRAW TABS
. Separate tabs are included to show the byes draw and the full
season draw if this helps your planning .
PLAYER DATA TAB
. This is a key tab with the data of all players and filters are
included on each column to allow you to search on just the positions or
. 2017 and 2016 averages are also included if this helps your
DON’T DELETE OR ALTER ANY OF THE DATA ON ANY OF THE TABS AS IT IS USED TO
MAKE THE WHOLE FILE WORK!!
To begin – (cash calculator on PLANNER TAB)
. You should begin by loading the players you want to start
with, in Column B of PLANNER TAB
. HINT – play around here with your combinations before using
the actual SC site … that way you wont inadvertently save or forget to
save on the SC site!!
. Check your bye structure in the relevant columns and also how
many GUNS you have available each week … this will help your initial
. I will send out another file with the “GUNS” parameter set to
an average (eg Def = 90) so you have two versions.
Thanks to Naths final stats from 2017 and also to some work prepared by
Hutta early this year!!
Let us know what you think and any errors please.
IMPORTANT – if anyone knows how to pull the data down off of the SC site and
can help out through the year, the lads would love to hear from you and get
your help! So please contact the site or Schwarzy!!
P.S. We will be putting out the call shortly for someone to take over ‘Nath’s Stats’. So if you’re computer savvy and can spare a couple hours a week, keep an eye out for the upcoming post. Thank you – Schwarzwalder.
