Mattner v Gram

Written by Motts on July 9 2010

With Jason Gram in the mix for St Kilda again this week its time to ask the question about these two. Remarkably similar stats: both averaging 76 ppg, both priced at $406k. But Mattner has played every game this year while Gram hasn’t played since R8. Does Gram’s DPP status and freshness make you overlook a dodgy hammy/groin?

Which premium FWD comes onto the TEAM this week? (four choices)

    1. Motts – Could you start a discussion on players who may be put out to pasture before the end of the season. Would be a help to everyone thinking about the upcoming finals. A few that spring to mind would be Maguire, J Brown and Big Cox. Thanks

      1. Coops, Brownie has been put out to pasture already, so I don;t think it’ll happen to him come finals time – I have been wrong before however…

        1. Yeah i’m just concerned that if Voss sees that finals is not achieveable than he may just let him rest up and get right for next year

  1. Have stuck by Gram since the start . . . his DPP status has been handy as he has rotated from mid to def bench. He’d be even more handy if he could get on the park though! I see him as my backline equivalent to Higgins – when he’s fit he can give me consistent 80 – 100 scores.

  2. I got rid of Gram as soon as he did his hammy, and I’m glad I did. He’s missed like 8 weeks or something. so it wil take a few weeks to get his match fitness up. He can be inconsistent, but i might look into getting him in a few weeks if i have any trades left, but he will drop heaps because of his 17…. so he will drop below 400k, which is too good to ignore IMO.

          1. The word on the street is he wasn’t on the flight with the team to Brisvegas, that’s why I said what flight.
