  1. Sam Mitchell is in the gun…. unfortunately he is currently not offering any value might have to stick fat and hope he comes out the other side. Mind you the Hawks have an easier one against the Kangas this week down in Tassie where he traditionally plays well.
Shout out to my rookies who continue to clock up the cash…

  2. A big shout out to my bros Hodgey and Nicnat. Hodgey in a side that got killed was awesome and how exciting is it to watch Nicnat get the ball out of the center, he’s a freak.
No one on the block yet, but I might be looking at upgrading with the extra cash I got from the Rooey trade.

  4. I gotta throw some love the way of GAJ this week who snagged a 145 to justify him as my choice as captain. While I’m on the Cats I gotta give props to C Enright who has yet to score under 100 this year and is, as Grimmo described him to me yesterday, a weapon. Also loved the work of The Big Itch who I brought into the team on Friday. 139 big man hugs, Itch.

Blokes I’ll be having a stern talking to this week include The Waite, Zeebs and Martin in the Middle.

      1. Not a trade worth making I think Cam. I have faith that a trip to the 2’s will be what Waite needs to right his season.

  5. No trading for me, is my mantra this week.
My next trade will probably be to convert two of Bastinac/Trengove/Martin into a Montagna/Hayes/Cooney type. I am hoping that Barlow will develop into a keeper, or develop to the point that I can do a straight swap if he fades later in the year. I think I need to research the best time to make this trade and which rookie to bring in as a replacement. I have 100k in reserve to help massage the deal.
My only other concern is Cyril, but, with Rocky on the bench, I think it will all work out in the end.

  8. Chopping block – T Farkin Lockyer!, Ziebell, Selwood

Lockyer has been terrible this year! absolutely terrible. Ziebell is okay but looking like he will just average around the 60 all year and Selwood is not looking his usual self. Should have gone with Bartell at the start of the year but last minute changed to selwood.

Shout out – Hodgey, Rockliff, Pods, Kennelly, GAJ, Goddard, Enright

Was also good to see Melceski finally have a below par game!! Been cursing his name the last few weeks! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. i’ve been trying to be patient with tippett. i’ve been understanding of hiw poor form, knowing he *has* to come good eventually? doesn’t he?

oh, no, doesn’t look like it….. having said that, after already losing $125k on him, what have i got to lose? adelaide have to start winning some day, don’t they?

ball has been disappointing. selwood could be doing more for his money. he’s a champion though, so it will happen.

    1. yeah ive held onto tippett aswell…hes lost way too much money now to trade… i have ball aswell, i need him to lift!!! i will give him a few more weeks though, dont wanna trade him out yet…

    2. My patience has run out with Tippett. Out he goes, in comes Podsiadly, with a dual effect – his value is about to explode, and I recover some decent dosh from Tippett (even though I’m not impressed with his value dropping $125k).

  10. I’m confident enough in Rockliff’s form to say that he’ll play most games for the rest of the year. He’s scored very well in his first two games and is worthy of a spot in my starting line up. Therefore I’m trading Ziebell out for Troy Taylor (as a bench player only, hopefully to make mse some cashola).

This is where I run into a bit of a dilemma – Do I trade out Hille for Cox (who has dropped $111K since the start of the year and looks liek he’s about to make his run to great form, starting with 30 hit outs against the Dons). Leaving me $120k in the kitty.

Or do I trade out one of Barlow/Martin for Pavlich/Cross. Or make the bigger money trade of a Cousins/Davey for (insert name here) as I’ll have enough money to afford anyone and have at least $60k still in the bank, even if I went with the bloke I said I wouldn’t have in all year – GAJ.

I appreciate that my first trade won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but the money I’m freeing up by off loading Zeebibble is just too much to not do it, especially now that Taylor has played one game and looks like getting more throughout the year. So, looking for advice on my second trade only please!

    1. Mitchell for Judd’s a golden trade.

Guess the query is why you didn’t have Judd from the get go. Mitchell’s a proven dud at SC. Good player, but SC dud.

  12. Gilbert is a Star – but had a stinker, and is supposed to be one of my not-so-secret weapons.
Dangerfield gets another chance given there’s still fragments of his skull scattered around MGC.
JB got traded in Rooy, and scored like my gandmother down at the Tunnel

GAJ, Godard and Hodgey = Supercoach SUPERSTARS!!!!

P.S. Very glad i traded Kerr for Barlow after round 2.

  14. Not happy with Hitchcock’s 29, he only cost $100k though and I’m not gonna waste a trade on him. Can’t really sub him either with Gumbleton and big Relts on the pine.

Also a shout out to Benny Nase, still sitting on my pine but a decent 84 yesterday against the Demons increased his price by $52k yesterday. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Hi all, just a supercoach newbie here, but I’m wondering why trades are valued so much. I’ve used 6 trades already (don’t ask, it’s my first year , all random trades eg. medhurst for hall……), and I feel like I need to use more. (eg. get sam mitchell out for goddard or something)

    My team is atm:
DEF: Macelski, Hodge, Enright, Shaw, Hunt, Maguire and Waters ( Schoenmakers, Ladson)
MID: Boyd, Barlow, Stanton, Mitchell, Davenport (lulz pick), Martin (moles, shuey)
    Ruck: Sandilands, Natanui (warnock, bellchambers)
FOR: Chapman, Higgins, Harvey, Gias, Medhurst, Dangerfield, Buddy (gumby and rockliff)

Should I go for the plunge and trade mitchell out for ablett/goddard? (got 250k in the bank)
Go easy on me please, just a noob ๐Ÿ™‚

        2. do you think you’re going to win your game this week playing your bench players in Mitchell and Stanton’s place? If so, just go with that. If not, I’d probably trade Mitchell.

  17. luke ball is an interesting one not that i have him in my team. i saw in todays paper his time on ground was 65%. i thought that was why he left st kilda. signs are not good if youve got him. the game against the hawks was over at half time and they still didnt put him on and let him run into some form. with all this talk about how fast the game is, perhaps its gone past him. my problem is sambo mitchell although i dont think ill trade him out just yet. he’s gotta come good. he’s just as likely to pull out a 130 the week after i trade him.
gotta give a shout out to podsi who got me over the line in my matches on the weekend!!

  18. Don’t have to trade this week, though i am pondering about what i’m going to do with Mitchell and Gray [Hopefully he does better]. What happened to Selwood?

    0

    0
      1. Definitely not. Pods’ price hasn’t gone up yet meaning you’ve made absolutely nothing on him yet. Hold until him at least until after he’s played his 3rd game. With the scores he’s been getting he should increase in value quite nicely.

  19. Hey everybody,

As some of you may be aware, this week is a huge week for me. I face off against my arrogant football minded boss, and I really, really want to beat him!

To do so I am looking to upgrade either in my midfield or in my forward line. My team is as follows:

    Goddard / Enright / Hodge / Kennelley / Waters / Maguire
    (Emerg. Nason / Silvagni)

    Abblett / Swan / Gibbs / Cooney / Barlow / Trengove
    (Emerg. Martin / Banner)

    Sandilands / Natanui
    (Emerg. Warnock / Lobbe)

    O’Keefe / Pavlich / Higgins / Rioli / Dangerfield / Medhurst / Ziebell
    (Emerg. Rockliff / J.Pod)

I have $127,500 in the bank (not $123,000 as previously mentioned).

    My first ideas were:
    1. Upgrade Gibbs to either Judd / Montagna / Dal-Santo
    2. Upgrade Ziebell to Harvey. This would cost me 2 trades. I would trade out Ziebell and maybe Banner, and pick up another rookie around $83,400. Hopefully you guys could give me some ideas here.
    3. Bank the cash for now and save trades.

Hopefully you all can give me some ideas.

    See ya later,
    Leesa.

    1. gibbs to judd sounds good. not convinced gibbs is gonna have that great a year. however the blues have the cats this week so maybe the paddle-pop lion is waiting for judd!! sorry, i know that doesnt help much. depending on how many trades youve used so far, maybe you should just keep the trade up your sleeve and get your boss in the finals when it really hurts.

      0

      0
    2. Hey good luck in the coming week, here are my thoughts based on what you’ve been saying you are travelling quite nicely so for
      1) I’d look at Gibbs as a keeper, at the start of season you’d look at him as someone who plays every week. I’d keep your kids ticking over and eventually you’ll have enough to massage a Judd in without losing a Gibbs.
      2) Is a better option than 1) and could be the way to go
but I’d personally go with 3) and save your trades as you’ll need them later in the year however if you are determined to beat your boss I’d run with 2) but one other thing to consider is that it would be sweeter to beat him in the finals then during the season… it’s a marathon not a sprint!
Good luck I hope it works well for you.

        1. There should be 7 in the backline on the field, you only have 6, who’s your 7th? I don’t care who or what you are, if anything you should be giving us tips with your great performances thus far.

          0

          0
          1. My 7th is actually hunt – Bit of a typo there. Am a little taken back by your comments Paul. I have not, once, ever, pretended to be anything that I am not.

          2. There is only 1 team in the whole Supercoach competition that scored 2317 in round 4 and has that exact side above and that is The Pus Nuts Coach Eric. So who’s telling the truth and how did I know that Hunt was missing from your backline.

  20. Hey guys need help. I currently have Pods on the feild and Waite on the bench, now my prob is i have mastern in the mid and he is not really getting me points so what i was thinking was pods is doing better then waite and he is sure to get most games this year, so was gonna trade waite to rockliff ( who if pods dont play he will) and get 273k and i have 75k spare so that leaves me with around 350k and then swap Mastern (437k) which i will then have around 687k, so i was thinking of getting goddard for Mastern or some one around Goddards price, ANy thoughts will be awesome thanks

  21. heres the plan: trade out ladson for schmitt. then use the cash to swap either mitchell or ball (most likely ball) for riscitelli. then the following week use the remianing cash to upgrade mitchell…at the end it will leave me with 13 trades but desperate times mean desperate measures!

  22. whats everyones thoughts on J.Selwood i love him as a player and he’s doing ok (averaging around 101). But there are alot of other players around his price range or cheaper that are scroring better.
i’m probably not going to trade him but have you guys got any suggestions on who would take his place if i did get rid of him.

i have 40k in the bank and already have GAJ, NDS, Swan, Barlow, Martin in the mids.

      1. Apparently it was reported on the news that he had a back spasm at training, maybe it was only shown over in the west. Anyway Woosh says he’ll play but I’ve read that it looked pretty bad.

  23. People posting on this site are too trade happy for this little black ducks liking. Trade when required and if in doubt don’t trade.
