  1. Am I going to have to wait another 5 hours before I get a comment on this post?

C’mon people! Surely some of you are bringing these guys into your Draft teams! I traded in McGuane to mine just this week.

  2. Some real value here, top work Mottsy.

Noticed you grabbed McGuane in the Draft league.

JJK i think will be in 60+% of teams after this week and for good reason too. His old mate Lynch could be relevant too playing some pretty decent footy against quality opposition and scoring quite well, Id take Monfries before him though i think.

You really should trade Shauny Dempster to me though.

  3. Claye Beams torn his ACL at training today , might be a good opportunity for Karnezis to step up, hold fire people.

  4. Dropped Karnezis for JJK. Wanted to go Westhoff but I am not convinced he will sustain his form. Does anyone know something I don’t? Happy to get advice on this one

  6. Hey Mottsy,

    FWDs are currently

Big Cox, Rocky, JJK, Dusty, Ryder, Karnezis and then Neade and Macaffer on the pine.

After a crap week 1, Ryder only scored 88 in a massive shellacking of the Dees so I’ve had enough and he’s out and bringing in Dwyer for the cash.

So no more mid pricers for me!

  7. JJ Kennedy pick of the bunch value wise for me. Hope it is the lads year, he was dealt a harsh hand when the Blue Baggers moved him on to get Judd & he was happy at the club / Melbourne. Next few games should be good for him.

  8. Keep Karnezies or trade him Josh J Kennedy?

With Beams out does that mean Karni will not be the sub and be playing for full games?
Will Kennedy keep up his scoring efforts and produce tons most weeks?

  9. Really wishing i had kept Kennedy in my starting lineup, He will go up pots O cash this week with that breakeven and playing the rabble. Ive been tossing up all week whether to bring him in this week or get Dwyer who will make some fast cash.
Questions are will Kennedy be a keeper?
Is Dwyer a must have rookie? I missed Zorko last year and feel this may be clouding my judgement.
Ive got the Karney and Varcoe as potential forwards to trade, but also have to move Watts this week(unless he is dropped then he could wait a week). I don,t feel compulsed to dump Karnesis as his BE isn,t too high and he didn’t get much of a shot last week. Varcoe has been playing OK but not scoring much more than we should expect for a midpricer.
    Assuming Watts plays..
    thumbs up
Watts to Birchall and Karnesis to Dwyer
td Watts to Heppell and Varcoe to Kennedy
    Would love any advice, Cheers

  10. everyone getting rid of karnezis, but he got a 60 and then he had an 8 from being a sub- surely as low midpricer he deserves a bit of perseverance…. or is he gonna be a a serial sub? thinking to trade him or T.Lee for dwyer, thoughts?

  11. Had not thought about Watts getting dropped. Saw him first hand on the weekend, if I was Neeld I would drop him (and Neeld should drop himself while he is at it). The only issue is missing the price jump. I wanted to get Neade for Watts. Have Dwyer and Karnz. What do you think of Neades security and vest chances? Cheers.

  12. Just pulled the trigger on:

    Kane Mitchell -> Sam Dwyer
Patrick Karnezis -> Josh J Kennedy

Still sitting on Zach Smith, unfortunately, but I lose less cash trading him out for Luey next week rather than holding off on Dwyer/JJK. Hopefully the one trade next week is all I’ll need, then I can sit pretty for a month or so while waiting for the first $$$-cow cull.

Possible that Beams going down may help Karnezis, but it could have the opposite effect – Beams was the only other regular vest option I’ve seen Brisbane use, so his injury may actually condemn Karne to the green vest for an extended run. Don’t think I can chance it, especially with JJK performing like he is.

  13. JJK in for the K-man at this stage. If the K-man get named on the ground though, might rethink who to trade out.

  14. Thinking of starting Dwyer & Neade on field and Varcoe/Macaffer on the pine.
    Have I got this right?
