Motts Movers R17 – The Forwards

by Motts on July 27, 2010

Everyone knows about Goodes, Didak and Riewoldt (of the N variety). Here’s some blokes that will set you apart from the pack:

C Sylvia ($435,300 $+28,900 ($-45,500), 85.27) – Last 3 round average: 107.33.

M LeCras ($501,200 $+68,200 ($+52,800), 85.94) – Last 3 round average: 143.33. Has gone up $128k in the last 2 weeks.

S Stevens ($415,600 $+36,700 ($+54,700), 72.38) – Last 3 round average: 107.67 – tons in all 3 games.

And a couple that a lot of teams have that are performing well right now:

T Rockliff ($445,200 $+17,000 ($+336,000), 83.71) – Last 3 round average: 102.67. Has been getting a ton every second week since R11.

J Waite ($470,200 $-1,200 ($+62,700), 93.40) – Hasn’t scored less than 91 since R7. The only issue you have is: will he get reported?

I figure Riewoldt would be due for a price rise this week with another ton?

Still has a b/e of 105, so you could still wait another week, without a massive price rise.

Nds – tbc on injury list, any chance he will miss?

Always a chance however it may be Joey’s turn to miss after his ankle “injury” last week. That would leave Lenny as the last Saint premium left to be rested before finals.

Yeah these “injuries” this time of the year can just come out of nowhere! Still waiting for geelongs to start gaj, chappy, pods even. Least the top of table is closer this yr So wins r more important.

Unless you are scrambling for a finals spot you are insane!! 3 trades left for me and unless things are going pear shaped i want to hold off until as late as i can with the trades.

I’ve still got five. If I do the trade it will be four. I’m worried that if I leave it and Roo fires and ROK has another shocker, I won’t be able to do the straight swap. ($37000 in bank). So I’m thinking it has to be this week.

I agree no eye deer – ROK is going to tumble with that 25 – and there is nothing to say saint nick won’t pull out a big score this week with his stats moving up that way. I think its this week to swap in ROO for ROCK – but do I have the gonads to do it??
I actually fall $10K short of being able to trade the pathetic Cameron Hitchcock for Roo – that would have been gold!

My fwds are The Pav, Dids, Boomer, Buddy, Goodes, JPod, Browny, Rockliff, Davis (Waite’s playing in my backline). I pulled the right string last week and benched Browny and Davis but this week i was thinking that JPod would struggle away from home and Browny’s got Melbourne at the Gabba so i’m happy if JPod has a rest this one week. Just want him playing Rnd 22 against West Coast at home.

I’m a chance to swap Podsiadly for Riewoldt if the former is MIA this weekend.

I have 5 trades and 750K in the coffers so it’s just a matter of waiting to see if Dane Swan and Joel Selwood (Martin and Brennan will most likely make way) are both playing this weekend before I decide on bringing in St Nick.

Bringing in Strijk, Smith and Blair for Maguire, Silvagni and Barlow respectively.

All in all I hope to have James Kelly (for Hooker) in the backs, Selwood and Swan (For Brennan and Martin) in the mids and Riewoldt and Didak (For Gumbleton and Fyfe) in the forwards by the time I’m done :)

Rocky was the only guy in my forward line to crack the ton in the last round. Looks like I need to make a couple of upgrades, come SC final time.
