Same format again. 5 bombers I reckon are great value right now and this week’s major downgrade target.
G Ablett ($669,900 $-28,200 ($-74,300), 140.10) – Attention all those who don’t have him. You were looking for the week that he bottomed out? This is it.
T Johnstone ($461,000 $+51,900 ($+71,000), 98.44) – Has come back from an enforced break with a certain caveman look in his eye. Last 2 weeks: 123 & 157.
A Walker ($345,800 $+25,500 ($+77,100), 73.29) – 94 & 107 since returning from injury. Cheap but risky given his history of shoulder problems.
M Robinson ($387,600 $+47,500 ($+115,700), 81.57) – Got dropped for Rounds 5 to 8. Has come back with renewed passion scoring 110, 106 and 105.
B Staker ($424,200 $+45,300 ($+152,400), 80.18) – With the loss of the Brisbane backline (unbelievably McGrath, Drummond, Maguire, Adcock andMerrett are all down right now), he’s been stepping up. Last 3 round average 113.33.
J Gysberts ($129,200 $+0 ($+0), 89.00) – Last chance before he goes up.

I was one of those mugs at the start of the year waiting for Abletts reduction but with a 157 b/e, Still think he has 1 more week left in him. That said, my midfield can’t fit him in with a score of 747 last week & Thompson seems to out of favour with Jesus so may drop further!

Agree, I’m one of those mugs too but seeing him bitch and whine during the quarter time break told me something isn’t right at the Cattery. Why wasn’t he playing in the middle, he spent most of his time in the forward line and that just looked wrong to me. With a B/E Of 157 as Frosty has mentioned I’ll hold out this week and see how the little master goes against the Dons on Saturday night before making my mind up.

It’s amazing that someone with a lowest score of 102 and a highest over 200 would be facing a score of 157 to merely break even. These are the vagaries of the game, but, maybe it suggests that the son of Gary’s price was a little steep to begin with.
I got on him from the start b/c I considered him, Goddard & Rooey to be unconditional selections. I built my team from there and have been happy with Jesus ever since.
I’m thinking that this week or next is possibly the cheapest he will be, but even then, @ 670 odd k, anyone will need to give up a couple of pretty decent players to get him, and that total becomes 800 odd k if you wanted to include someone like Jizzbert as the second player.
I’m glad I don’t have to make that choice.

PA’s R11 Roughie in the Midfield.
Neville Jetta ($308,900, $+37,300 ($+37,300) 85, R12B/E 35) Ever since being a late replacement for Jake Spencer in Darwin against the Power, Nev hasn’t looked back. With scores of 98, 63 and 94 in he’s last three games and with his Cheap price tag he looks like a nice downgrade option or sideways trade if anyone was thinking along those lines.

Jetta???? Can’t forsee anyone wanting a sideways trade option. These are generally frowned upon by all sundry. As for Jetta as a downgrade option, Gysberts is scoring similarly and is considerably cheaper.

Might have to give you your own posting section if you keep this up, PA.

out of those three, i reckon duffield. Have u gotten gysberts? You could perhaps downgrade a midfield bench player then upgrade maguire to someone like gilbert, fisher etc., unless u have them of course.
BUt I reckon Duffield will be ur best option out of those three..

If you can swing it, grab Sam Gilbert from St.Kilda.

Loz, get rid of Goose. His price was maxed out anyway and looks like he may take longer to get back than Higgins. Your fwd bnech is better with Fyfe and Higgins is also MPP

Do you guys think it’s too late to jump of Chapman? Or is it unlikely he’ll keep up form the rest of the season (or even play the rest of the season)?

i dont think its too late at all- he doesnt seem to be dropping off at all, was BOG last week, and hardly ever drops below 100 points…if you can afford him- get him.

Get on Dan Connors this week, still a bargain for a 4th year player, started the season looking the goods before his big pissup. Dominated Coburg since then and if you are looking for a solid downgrade or good bench cover he is the one to go. SHould average 80+ the rest of the year. Carried him the last 8 weeks with only mid emergency martin but didnt cost me anything.
