Motts Movers R11, 2012 – The Rucks

Written by Motts on June 13 2012

Premiums

Ivan Maric ($585,800, 110.82, 123) – The fairytale continues. Insert mullet joke here. Will belt GWS this week and then go on holidays. Probably the one thing stopping a lot of coaches picking him up will be his R13 bye and Goldstein’s/Cox’s relative cheapness and availability.

Paddy Ryder ($528,200, 110.91, 102) – Has improved his SC average every year since 2008. And this year has improved it by a massive 20 points a game. Take into account that he’s only missed on average 1 game a year over that period and you’ve gotta wonder why he’s only owned by 13% of teams. Last 3: 124, 111 and 99.

Midpricers

Jarryd Roughead ($486,600, 98.7, 104) – The Orange Rough continues to pump ‘em out (hasn’t scored under 88 since starting in R2). Have a look for the AFL Meme that dealt with Clarko and the boys commenting on his looks – its very, very funny.

David Hale ($448,100, 90.91, 34) – And while we’re on the Horks, lets give a nod to D Hale who since R6 has gone: 102, 124, 90, 62, 108, 122.

Value Picks

At a pinch I’d say Jarrad Redden ($237,300, 64, 19) but if you’re looking for serious value, I’d look elsewhere.

On a final note, Mike Pyke scored 42 last week. As suspected, the return of Mumford has decimated his prospects. If I was a told-you-so kind of bloke I’d be mentioning that right now….

  1. Who is everyone trading in this week for Sandipants?
Maric, Ryder, Goldstein, Cox, Nic Nat, Hale or Roughhead?

  2. Out of those A’egg, anyone of CoxRyder, or NicNat. Also look at Griffin if you can wait a week. As good as iMullet has been, he is pricey at ~$580k and has the bye coming up.

  4. What do people think about trading Giles for McEvoy after Rd 13. McEvoy currently $490k with a B/E 106. If he were to play this week and not make his B/E, he may be a straight sideways trade from Giles ($443k with B/E 88) in 2 weeks. Worth a shot?
    THUMBS UP – Yay
    THUMBS DOWN – Nay
