Thrillers

Shane Mumford ($435,800, 148, 107.92, 37)

Sam Jacobs ($429,800, 107, 91.77, 86)

Honourable mentions: The usual suspects: Dean Cox, Todd Goldstein, and Matty Leuenberger.

Chillers

Mark Jamar

Zac Smith – little harsh but I was struggling for a second and its been since R12 that we’ve seen a 90+ score from him.

Drillers

Robbie Warnock ($393,300, 111, 87.31, 58)

David Hale ($337,500, 99, 69.27, 40)

Special mentions: Zac Clarke, David Hille, Rory Thompson, Trent West (on the bubble with a -10 BE, $243k), Ben Hudson, Paddy Ryder, and Krooz.

  1. my rucks are goin to be my achillies heel i think. got cox, smith, lobbe, mcauley 29k in bank with 1 trade left. i will save it for finals time and my 2nd ruck option is the only upgrade i need.
smith is goin to lose money the longer the season goes therefore making it tough to upgrade to anything significant.

very limited options that are going to have a greater impact then him i think

  2. Fair call on smith. Heading to Splendour now so I’m wrapped it’s a bye week and my Swans are not playing. Have a good weekend boys and girls

  3. Really unsure what to do with Smith. I am definitely trading him out, but the question of who for and when is hard to determine. Sausages Mumford I think is the front runner due to his price and ability to pump out a huge score, but he has the bye this week and there is no point trading in case anything goes wrong for him before he gets named in rnd20. However, if I wait, Smith drops in price. Then, the 2nd option is McEvoy, but his BE is ~180, so he definitely is going to drop in price dramatically before finals. Too Hard!

  5. Nothing to do with Rucks but article on AFL website says that McKenna is planning on playing a youngster on Milne rather than Harbrow. If you have him, make him captain. No Roo means Milne is focus. He will get at least 10 goals this week you can qoute me on that. 180 plus SC points.

  6. I too have 211 and reckon loads traded him and due to coaches not having many trades left anyone with 211 has a good p.o.d. Wouldn’t of said that at start of season!

  7. hmmmm….well my rucks are Cox, Smith, Lobbe and Bathie
Im thinking that I need to get rid of Smith but who for…..?
Im only going for league, but like the top 5 teams in my league have Cox and Mumford as rucks so I was looking at someone else but I reckon Lobbe should be good enough as ruck cover so I could pick up someone with a finals bye if need be

  8. Just a quick poll guys. Who would you put your money on to be the most prolific between Sandilands and Mumford during the finals?

    Thumbs up >> Sandi
    Thumbs dn >> Mummy

As a partner for Cox please comment if u think there is a better option than these two
    Thx

  9. Gents,

(Have already posted this in previous articles, but this seems to be the appropriate article to get the feedback)

Would love some advice. I only have 5 trades left, so I’ve got to be a little cautious, but the one issue I have is with Jonathon Griffin.

I brought him in after Sandilands, and he’s been AWESOME, with a profit of $200,000. However, his last two games have stagnated him, and his B/E is now 168!!! So I’ve got to trade him THIS WEEK to avoid BIG price drop.

I was originally hoping to get Sandilands back in, but (a) he’s unlikely to be back this week, and (b) his B/E is equally horrible (197)!!!

As such, I was hoping for some thoughts on an alternative premium ruckman to join Cox on the field. My thought was Shane Mumford (good run home, low B/E), but am open to other suggestions (provided they don’t clash with finals … playing for league win only).

    Thumbs UP for Mumford
Thumbs DOWN for someone else (please specify)

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

P.S. Yes, I know Mumford has the BYE this week, but as mentioned, I need to offload Griffin THIS week, and similarly, Mumford’s price will increase this week. Plus, I can cover this week with Z. Smith.
