Gary Ablett ($674,700, 137.94, 84) – With a 162 average over the last 3 rounds, Junior is showing once again why he demands your captaincy every week. And d’ya reckon he’s going to get a bit of it again this week against the Giants?
Shane Tuck ($611,400, 113.78, 127) – What a magnificent straight up trade for Swanny this guy would be. In only 4,261 teams its more than likely your opponent won’t have him and playing the down-and-out Dogs he’ll no doubt have another ripper. Has scored over 130 8 times this year and over the last 3 weeks has averaged 136.3.
Scott Pendlebury ($606,400, 125.93, 116) – Of course, if you’re looking at going more mainstream than Tucky, there’s always Pendles. Especially with Swanny’s 39 possessions a game now up for grabs. Over the last 4 he’s averaged 130.25.
Midpricers
Brent Harvey ($495,500, 94.06, 54) – Razor Ray didn’t mention Harvs in his excellent Forward Movers analysis this week so I’m giving him a shout out here. Sticking my head in the sand and muffling “the game has passed him by” is starting to look a little silly when he’s scored 4 tons in the last 5 weeks – 3 of them 125+.
Adam Treloar ($393,600, 79.07, 15) – Not the best performer lately but cheap as hell and over the last 3 has averaged a very creditable 105.33 including a handy 129 against Port last week. Has a tendency to beat up on the lower ranked teams but guess what? He faces Gold Coast this week (who he scored 96 against earlier this year) and Melbourne next week (who he had a 99 against in R13). Actually, you know what Buddy? Sit out another 2 if you have to mate.
Andrew Gaff ($471,400, 93.72, 78) – After Harvey, the only other midfielder priced under $500k to have scored 100’s in each of the last 3 weeks. Is coming good at the right time of the year but has a tough draw ahead of him that includes Geelong, Collingwood and Hawthorn.
Value Picks
Jason Johannisen ($113,200, 72) – Had a first up run last week and scored a nice little 72 for the Doggies. Should get a lot of opportunity given (a) L’il Libba’s penchant for pills and the rippers (b) injuries to players such as Higgins and (c) the Dogs chances of making the top 8.
Aidan Riley ($132,300, 69) – Played his first game for 2012 and scored dinner for two. You gotta like Adelaide’s run home but with blokes like McIntyre in the wings and the Crows well and truly in contention for a Top 4 spot I just wonder about his JS.
Tom Couch ($94,700, 54, -51) – Look, I know he hasn’t played since R17 but by all reports he’s still tearing it up in the Magoos so surely he’s got to get another opportunity soon?!? Even if he doesn’t, he’s under $100k meaning you’ll make a stack of money on him and he’ll rotate between your mid and forward benches.

Yeah that was a pretty bad oversight on my behalf! I’ve had Boomer since day dot and have at times been pretty frustrated with his ability to break a hard tag but his recent form has been top notch and he definitely could have got himself a mention!
