Thrillers
Bryce Gibbs ($492,500, 139, 103.67, 79) – If you don’t have him, you’re not going to pick him up now because of Carlton’s R23 bye but those of us who have kept the faith with Gibbsy, through Rounds 3 to 11 when he only scored 1 ton, say thank-you. And a big thank-you to Ratts for switching him forward on Friday night allowing him to kick a lazy 4 goals. If you’re thinking about a good time to trade him out, he’s got Melbourne this week and then Fremantle (away) and Hawthorn (ES) before that week off. He then comes back in R24 to face St Kilda.
Greg Broughton ($488,000, 138, 99.88, 100) – While we’re thanking coaches, lets give a big shout out to Mark Harvey who has skyrocketed G Broughton’s scores by moving him into the midfield. David Mundy went down in R12, since R14, Broughton’s scores have been: 145, 122, 127, 105, and 138. Ball. Magnet.
Brendon Goddard ($495,400, 138, 108.12, 91) – The Saints are now a lock for the 8 and that’s due in no small part to the efforts of BJ. In full flight he’s sublime and the fact that he’s still under $500k given his last 5 scores have all been over 100 indicates just how far he fell (he bottomed out at $418,600). Tough run during the finals (Pies, Sydney [away], North, and Carlton) but you’d bank on him raising his bat in any game given his quality.
Honourable mentions: Heath Scotland (love his work ethic), Nathan Bock, and Josh Gibson.
Chillers
Paul Duffield – what the hell has happened? Since R9 his scores have been: 128, 133, 85, 100, 84, 99, 60, 29, 30 (sub), 48. Must be carrying an injury. What other explanation is there?
Brady Rawlings – finding the 24 round season one hell of a grind.
Harry Taylor – I concede he was subbed on Saturday but if he’d been playing better he would’ve stayed out there.
Drillers
Scott McMahon ($345,800, 103, 74.88, 44) – 98 average over his last three, pity he plays for North.
Robert Murphy ($378,200, 136, 91.12, 38) – 136 if you don’t mind against WC. SC-wise he’s having his 2nd best season ever – in 2008 he averaged 92.7 over 21 games.
Cameron Pedersen ($366,000, 85, 87.00, 73) – after struggling to get a game early in the season, Cam has played every game since R11. He’s averaged 98 over his last 3. For those that hold him, the question is now: do you hold onto him or trade him in before North’s R21 bye?
Special mentions: Dean Polo (96 avg over his last 3), Jason Gram (D/M DPP), Xavier Ellis (70 before getting subbed off), Danny Stanley, Corey Enright, Paul Puopolo (spudded it up against Melbourne, 40, but returned with a vengeance against Freo, 111), and Nick Salter.

Hey guys,
Have a must win game this week so have a question purely for this round.
Im upgrading Stanley in my backline, can afford any player, currently tossing up between Heath Scotland, Corey Enright and Robert Murphy. Considering who they are all playing this week, what are your thoughts?
All have upcoming byes so personally wouldn’t waste a trade. Murphy aint playing this week as dogs have the bye. Wiithout knowing your backline its
Hard to comment. If u not got Fisher,Goddard or Brougton I would go for one of those
Sorry didn’t read ur post properly. If u have trades to burn and just want to get someone in to win rd20 and not caring about the byes then either scotland versus dees or enright versus suns. Murphy has bye.
Enright gets the nod
Had Gibbs from the get go and got Goddard and broughton when they bottomed out thanx to you guys
I’d suggest Harry wasn’t subbed due to form or the way he was playing, esp given 180 points, and a niggle he’s been carrying. That said, the Cats prob could have subbed Selwood, Bartel and Chapman – with no replacement and still handed them their asses.
Any word on Newman?
I don’t need to win this week, but I’ve be burnt in the past from premiums falling like flies in the finals (got 5 trades left)
Trade Newman thumbs up
Wait a week thumbs down
Michael Hibberd will be suspended by the Dons for the rest of season for disciplinary reasons #wordoffthestreet, damn there goes another one 😡
Hibberd is an idiot. These guys get given a rare opportunity to play footy at the top level and give it all away as he can’t handle his alcohol.
Someone probly did have a go at him first but hibberd shouldnt have cracked him. Silly silly
I heard that but didn’t know he was suspended from the club for the rest of the season DAM IT!!!
Where’s my goddamn rookie review??
Sorry Motts…. Long story. Should have it up in an hour or so.
What is everyone thinking abour Broughton? I’d love him in my backline if he stays in Port’s midfield. But with Mundy on the mend, what is the chance Broughton moves back to the backline and lower SC scores?
Phil Davis to GWS …. on Superfooty
Contemplating a Heppell >> Gram swap. Have 4 trades left but only $14K so can’t really upgrade. Heppell’s in my def 7 so i’m spooked about the Rnd 24 bye (whilst i won’t be making LoEC finals due to a dodgy draw i’m doing well in my other leagues). Thinking it makes sense to pull the reigns now before Gram gets out of reach.
Thumbs up: Get Gram
Thumbs down: Hold fire or pull a different change
Lower break even is tremendous this week and looking to upgrade or downgrade, rob murphey is the highest avg that I don’t already have in the back line that ain’t going to cop a bye through finals..
Like rob murphey or dislike for downgrade jeromy Taylor
